Experiencia fantástica: The architecture of the city hall is really a great art of human imagination.

Experiencia positiva: If you have an hour or so to spare this is worth a look. Sadly all the information is in Spanish so if you don't speak the language you don't get the full experience. There was a helpful guide who spoke English though and answered questions for us. There is a very interesting Natural History Section (if you don't mind seeing stuffed animals) and a lot about the history of Guayaquil illustrated with dioramas. There are also some shrunken heads...which are fascinating.

Experiencia fantástica: This place has a lot to offer. We were just walking around the city center and came across this Museum which is OPEN and FREE for everybody. If you want to know about the history of Guayaquil and Ecuador, you really have to go there. They also have good collection of stuffed and preserved species of flora and fauna that can be found in Ecuador. The archive of insect species was surprisingly massive and complete. Although small, this museum definitely showcases a variety of items and eye-pleasing collections. My favorite part of the museum was the photo exhibit. They have a gallery that showcases different expositions per month. Luckily, I also witnessed a live orchestra show featuring the compositions of a young musician in one of the gallery hall.
