Experiencia fantástica: Really nice mix of ancient, American, European and contemporary. Interesting display on Cincinnati artists and Rookwood pottery. Beautiful displays. Such a treat with free admission (special exhibits cost separately but often have a free night if you check the website).

Experiencia fantástica: Fabulous collection in a beautiful and modern building. I spent hours here roaming the galleries. You must go see the works of Monet and van Gogh.

Experiencia fantástica: took a long stroll up a long flight of stairs and thru the rain to get here… absolutely worth it. the surrounding area is gorgeous and the free admission is wonderful. spent around 3 hours here exploring the 2 levels of art. usually there’s a small 3rd level but it’s being worked on right now. there’s a terrace cafe i would’ve loved the check out as well if i had time but they close at 3, earlier than the museum. there is a wide range of art for ancient works all the way through contemporary modern galleries. i personally loved the recently added shanghai exhibit, and the european lithographs on display. a great place for a solo day, date, or with friends and family :)

Experiencia fantástica: An art museum with plenty of unique artworks. The staff were incredibly helpful and helped me find what I was looking for. There are artworks from more famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh too, which was pretty neat to see.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to a wedding here and got to roam one of the wings. A beautiful old building with a collection of pretty well known artists. Definitely one of the coolest venues for a wedding.

Experiencia fantástica: Loved this museum. Loved the exterior sculpted pillars, going into the museum. There were so many beautiful sculptures and painted throughout the whole museum. Definitely, a perfect weekend visit.

Experiencia negativa: A worker in the hip hop exhibit got upset at me for looking at an art piece within three feet. This particular piece was unmarked not showing how close to the piece you are standing and in a tight hallway. The worker that confronted me about it immediately commented on my young age and the bright color of my clothing. Out of the plethora of times visited, I’ve never once experienced something like this. Of course this was at the beginning of the visit and ruined the mood for me and the group the rest of the time. Why is that my age and clothing makes me a disturbance while others are doing the same thing as me. As I look around I see that I am one of the younger people trying to enjoy the art, why would you ruin the experience of the younger crowd.

Experiencia fantástica: The hip hop exhibits were extraordinarily creative. The video rooms were great as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Love it here!! For a city like cinci it has one of the better selections of modern art. There is a lot of cool local art; and payed exhibits. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Experiencia fantástica: This art museum was wonderful and a lot of fun to walk through. Many amazing portraits and pottery pieces from all around the world. The best was that it was free! If you are in the area, and have a few hours to spare, stop in and be awed !

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely museum in Cincinnati. Visited and saw the beautiful Woo Chong Yung exhibit currently on display in July.

Cecilia Kennedy 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: An absolutely beautiful museum and very friendly, helpful staff. The cafe had delicious food. My only complaint is the 1st floor ladies restroom was not exactly clean when I entered. But the second floor bathroom was very clean.

Michael Wagner 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Love the art museum! A little ancient history, a little recent history and some modern art. They have it all no matter your tastes. I personally love the impressionist and post impressionist art. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Lane Stevenson 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: This is a large, free museum. The collection is varied with some unique works. Enjoyable visit, and it wasn't overly crowded on a Saturday.

Whitney Knochelmann 4 months ago

Experiencia positiva: It’s free to the public so that’s always nice. They have a great art room for the kids. The exhibits were pretty small in size. Also the atmosphere seemed quite stuffy as most people did not seem to approve of the younger kids being there. Overall, fine place to be on a hot day! Recommend finding a baby sitter or staying in the kid room if you have to bring small children.

Suyash Agrawal 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Good as ever! I have been there three times and can continue going till I stay in Cincinnati. The collection is extensive and impressive.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful museum. Both the building and exhibits were amazing. Thank you to the generous patron or patrons who generously donated to make this free of charge! Amazing time.

Lynne Short 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: We spent a few hours there and enjoyed it very much. If you have younger children with you the Rosenthal Education Center is a nice place to take them. They can create their own art work and it gives them some time to use some energy to be creative.

Experiencia fantástica: The CAM deserves all the praise and has free admission to make it accessible to all. Cincinnati is doing this right and has gorgeous parks including the grounds of this Museum and neighboring Eden Park. The building architecture is breathtaking, historic, and interesting. There is a range of many types of art. The staff is kind and helpful. The terrace cafe is beautiful.

Experiencia positiva: Great place to visit although I was disappointed in that many displays were down and there wasn’t really a lot to see.

Audrey 4 months ago

Experiencia positiva: I really love how this art museum is free. It is pretty big, too! The paintings were wonderful to walk around and see, and there is a good amount of seating to rest! I will say on short time, visit the upstairs first as the downstairs is very predominantly focused on Cincinnati artists. I also dislike the maps as they arent very descriptive of the spaces you're going to.

Yoloxochitl Vazquez 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Large collection of art. Very well displayed and easy to follow map. The art room is so nice if visiting with children.

Experiencia fantástica: The Cincinnati Art Museum truly offers a remarkable experience for art enthusiasts of all kinds. With its beautiful art work, great exhibitions, and unique pieces, this museum is a must-visit for anyone looking to be inspired. The awesome staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making visitors feel right at home. One could easily spend the whole day exploring the diverse collections and admiring the stunning works on display. And when hunger strikes, the Terrace Café serves up delicious food to satisfy any palate. The museum's lovely grounds are impeccably kept, providing a peaceful backdrop for a stroll or moment of reflection. Don't forget to stop by the cute gift shop on your way out to pick up a special keepsake or piece of artwork to remember your visit by. The Cincinnati Art Museum is truly a gem in the city, offering a blend of artistic treasures and warm hospitality that is sure to delight all who visit.

Darryl Thomas 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: As members, I and my wife enjoy the special members' events. We seem to always meet and converse with new-to-us members. But it's the exhibits that draw us, plus the ambiance of the CAM itself. It and it's location are bright stars for our city.

Experiencia fantástica: ART AFTER DARK!¡! FREE Last FriDay of Every Month, Free Admission and Parking! The people watching is Almost as exceptional as the works of Art! Great time for Adults!

Richard Stottman 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: this place is absolutely mind blowing. we originally came to check out Eden Park and the botanical garden but it was too hot outside so we figured we would check out the museum instead. somehow it wasn't on our radar. we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff. was very surprised about the free admission, I was fully expecting to pay at least $30 per person. All of the exhibits were amazing. they have really cool art and historical artifacts from all kinds of different cultures. this was by far the best museum we had ever been to and we are very excited to come back soon!

Annmarie Gregory 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: What a fun time with the family. There was no wait to get in. It was not crowded at all. They have art from all over the world. Different types of Art. Sculptures, glass art, historical furniture, water colors, acrilic paintings. What a marvelous place!!

Samantha Terino 4 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: I have loved coming to this art museum for years. Whether I am taking in the art on a quiet afternoon or attending their Art After Dark events. The museum is well cared for and the art extends outside with the stairs leading to the parking lot and Eden Park and Krohn Conservatory a walk away.

Al Pal 5 months ago

Experiencia positiva: It's always a wonderful experience and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Occasionally it's frustrating that if you have kids with you they'll follow you so you don't feel like you get to just look around peacefully but that's ok. I understand but definitely a little frustrating.

Brooke Ferran 5 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: The Museum structure alone is beautiful! We hadn't ever been to an art museum and weren't sure if we would enjoy it, however it was a definite highlight of our trip. Would go back!

CM Goodrich 5 months ago

Experiencia positiva: It was a lovely museum with some truly thematically contemplative pieces. There is art from many sects of the world and through time. I felt that several of the galleries were similar and repetitive. They may benefit from being arranged differently within the same color-coded section. Admission is free.

Nadya Grace Lichtenberg 5 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: The art museum is packed with beauty and interest. I am always looking forward to coming back.

Dawn Wright 5 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: It's a very beautiful and amazing place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Just be aware of you stand closer than 3 foot to an exhibit, an alarm will sound. Which is completely fair, we just weren't aware.

Jacob Allex-Buckner 5 months ago

Experiencia positiva: I had never been to this museum before and was pleasantly surprised at how large their collection is. We spent about an hour and a half here and only got through most of the first floor before closing. The nice thing is that admission is free for everyone so I definitely want to make it back to see the rest of the floors.

Wanda Rogers 5 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: A world-class art museum that's FREE! Definitely a Cincinnati gem. My granddaughters love the interactive children's art space, too....a great way to reinforce what they've seen/learned at the museum.

Experiencia fantástica: Only looked at the 2 visiting exhibits at the museum. I was en route to Kentucky from Maine. Both exhibits were breathtaking. The Native American glass was so beyond words. I'm sorry, I only had one day. It was absolutely georgous. I didn't realize Dale Chihuly was so influential in the Native American art glass movement. Amazing man, fantastic pieces.

Experiencia fantástica: I went on Easter with my girlfriend, and their special exhibits were free! We're big art fans and were happy to see the museum we grew up going to thriving.

Experiencia fantástica: Not s museum you hear a lot about in the news but they do have nice depth in their permanent collections. Free parking when you can find it and free admission. Special ticked events not included in free admission.

Danasha Smith 7 months ago

Experiencia positiva: First time here. This is such a huge place. They have a third floor but it’s currently not open, so I’ll have to come back and see that general mission is free you pay for certain exhibits which I believe the prices vary on. I would recommend this to anyone looking to kill time, especially since it’s free or just a good spot for inspiration.

Arie Ross 7 months ago

Experiencia positiva: There’s no intuitive way finding here and we didn’t know where to start, as I typically explore art museums in a chronological order. In that respect, it was confusing. We spent a while simply trying to find out where to begin…It was also crowded but I expected that on a Saturday. This museum is understandably proud of the impressive history of Cincinnati artists and so that section is large…too large. Not being uber interested in Cincinnati history, I found it rather boring. The rest of the permanent collection was very good! Nice Dutch room and old Spanish religious art is abundant. Kudos to the waitstaff at the yummy cafe and for free admission thanks to a generous donor. Gift shop had outrageous pricing for outdated coffee table books. I’d say the Dayton Art Institute is a better overall museum.

jolie fish 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Wish I could be here for weeks just to explore all this museum has to offer!!

Juan Goncalves 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Great venue and free to enter or park. Even the Smithsonians can’t beat that. You’ll need more than a full day to cover it if you are into reading the exhibits’ descriptions. Kids love coming here on rainy days as there is a nice crafts and arts center for children, even during weekends. A plus: Mount Adams, a New Englandish like village with pubs and restaurants is walking distance from the museum.

Luis L 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: What a great museum! I can tell that Cincinnati takes pride in the art that comes from their city. There’s so much here to discover! And the Art Walk was beautiful and fun to walk! The weekend I came (3/30), all the paid exhibits were free!

Jeremy Newcomer 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: The people at the museum were so friendly and helpful. Exhibits were fantastic. Laura Jones was a docent for an exhibit and she shared her knowledge in a wonderfully kind and gentle way making our experience even more profound. Kate Law was also warm, friendly and helpful making the entire day much more fulfilling. Because of these two individuals we will make returning to the museum a priority. Thank you Laura and Kate for making our day wonderful!

Experiencia fantástica: C'mon people, if you don't love art, then why are you looking at reviews for the art museum? Are you expecting to hear they just have trash art, or leaking roofs? It's the art museum. It's incredibly beautiful, inside and out. The hexagonal still life room is magnificent. Check out TGIF....

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful and amazing museum that spans many eras.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience at the Art Museum today. We went as a family, my husband and I with our 2 adult children. Hubby wasn't completely on board when I suggested it, but he found himself interested in more than he thought. The architect of the building itself is just beautiful as the artwork inside it.

Breanna Price 8 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Art was high quality. Atmosphere was sophisticated. Perfect for a date night. They didn't really appreciate me bringing my kids. Love that it's free and uncrowded place I can bring my immune compromised child.

Marcus Fero 8 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Our 7 year old son was talking about the museum a lot after they learned about it at school. So we gave it a shot. It was pretty interesting for us adults, but for kids the museum is not interactive enough. Sadly many of the supposed interactive exhibits are broken or missing. However we had a good time in the art room of the museum where we had the opportunity to make our own handcrafted art.

Experiencia fantástica: Super nice museum. We were visiting from out of town and only had an hour to browse but we saw so many beautiful things. We'll definitely be back!

Malik Purvis 8 months ago

Experiencia positiva: A wonderful location to stop and see a lot of French painting. Pretty short on contemporary art and maybe spends too much time focusing on American art but it is very much the best in the area (though I haven't been to Cleveland yet). As a Chicagoan I'm impressed but slightly undwhelmed. Cincy still gets love from a visitor from the Windy city.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great art museum with vibes that change with the rooms. Not a lot of the "iconic" artists, but beautiful pieces nonetheless. And features a lot of Cincinnati / Ohio features or artists. Wish I had the time to climb the exterior stairs... looks very cool. Would definitely recommend.

Lucas Lim 8 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing museum that has free parking and free general admission. My friend got married and had a reception here a while ago. There was a lot of amazing artworks and artifacts here that come from all around the world. Would definitely come back and also take a walk to visit mt. Adam’s nearby. Eden Park is also very beautiful and close by too!

Experiencia fantástica: Great collection, amazing space and great pieces worthy of photography. A definite visit for people coming to Cincinnati for tourism purposes.

Experiencia fantástica: I was impressed and surprised. The museum was surprisingly quiet even with lots of people. The arrangements and array of arts and sculpture varied enough. You'd need at least 2 days to finish a tour of the place.

Dean McCaughan 10 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: I love that they have an endowment to allow for free admission. It’s incredible to have open access to such amazing exhibits. I could have spent so much time here, but we were with family and Dad had a plan. We’ll be back next time we visit Cincinnati.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful museum hosting a great and unique touring exhibit while we were there. Only knock against was the "art walk" didn't have much art on it, but the exhibits inside were incredible. Also, free except for special exhibits so you can't beat that price! Even the tickets for the touring exhibit were reasonable. Highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: One of my favorite places in Cincinnati!! The staff does an amazing job bringing the coolest exhibits to the museum. Pictured was when their Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit was in town. Perfect timing for my moms 60th birthday weekend! The staff is always so helpful in kind when you enter and keep the museum looking wonderful. The small gift store is always fun to explore after wandering the museum! Don’t forget to take advantage of free Thursday evenings at the museum. Any ticketed exhibit if free on Thursdays, you just need to reserve a timed ticket! You can do this online before going or you can walk in and gamble to see if there are any spots open when you arrive!

Experiencia fantástica: We visited this museum 5 years ago and couldn't cover all of it so went back today when they were open till 8pm. It's amazing that general admission is free. It's awe inspiring. Very well maintained. Polite staff. Make sure you wear your backpacks in the front or on one shoulder so that you don't bump into art work. They have clear restrooms too. Will definitely go back in the summer.

Experiencia fantástica: It is a beautiful museum with a vast selection of paintings, sculpture and fittings. It had a lot of commissioned work that was very unique. It was a bit mazy to walk through but I still managed to navigate it. The staff were very helpful and nice. I loved the Black and Brown Faces: Verified exhibition a lot. It offers free admission too.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is a gem! A must see and visit in Cincinnati. Go to the lakes view at the top of the mountain first. Then visit this free museum.

Brittany Chambers 11 months ago

Experiencia positiva: Thank you for the free admission! The special exhibits had great pieces. Charles White, AH-MAZING!!! The cafe food and service were okay. There was construction of a special exhibit causing lots of sound at the main entrance. Security personnel were only awkward when they paced so quickly from room to room, whistled and leaned on banisters. The restrooms are clean (seem a bit small for those who may need more room). The driveway and parking are nice and easy on a Tuesday. There’s a beautiful view of the city next to the museum.

Experiencia fantástica: We are wedding photographers in Cincinnati and we have been reflecting on our favorite weddings we shot this year. One of our top weddings occurred here, at the Cincinnati Art Museum. There are so many photo opportunities at the Museum (front steps, galleries, grand staircases and more) and the Art museum's courtyard was a gorgeous backdrop for the couple's ceremony. We are definitely going to recommend more of our couples to the Cincinnati Art Museum for their wedding - It is just stunning!

Experiencia fantástica: This museum can take you to a historical trip where you can explore the ancient worlds of the old cultures especially the Egyptians. Wide art pieces and a variety of different aspects of life presented. I then went to the terrace cafe to rest, their chicken salad sandwich was delicious! I will visit the museum agin to see the second floor. Very great stop and everyone should come and visit this beautiful place!

Experiencia fantástica: You don't need to be an art expert to enjoy art. This Cincinnati Art Museum brings back to the past world of cultures you've never experienced or thought about through the art pieces. You'll find a new appreciation of what living is all about. Moreover, the special exhibit on Picasso was fantastic. It's almost like you could hear his thoughts, even voices, through his work. I felt much closer to him now. I loved the visit.

Jephte Guillaume 1 year ago

Experiencia positiva: Maybe next time, I did not get to go inside but I did do the art climb and walk parts of the trail. I did not know how beautiful Cincinnati is in general. I am glad I stumbled into this great city and this absolutely magnificent museum, beautiful art area, nature. I am not sure I made myself believe this city would be an awful place with no beauty at all. As a sports fan and play I conditioned myself to hate teams and locations for the love of my team. For the love of sport I am glad I have stepped away from blind hate and have stepped into willful appreciation. The things you find when you enter enemy terrain and seek to learn from those we view in opposition. I am stuck in a dilema destroy something beautiful to spite my enemy or preserve the beauty and look to mend fences. The choice is easy… war, riot, yell, argue fight. I must shame, defame and send authorities to shut this place down. Follow the example of our political leaders our countries parents and adults, they set the example to justify my bad behavior. Pictures don’t do it justice go see for yourself. I picked the Pinocchio statue because my friend Korean Butters on YouTube. Pinocchio teaches us we can be who we want, the world is ours, if we can break free from the strings and control of those who we give our power to. Met people traveling all the way from Miami just to see it for the 5th time, things we do for children. Come for the Reds, stay for the Museum. Baseball season gives you plenty of reasons to be bad and good. Pinocchio teaches the choice is ultimately ours.
