Experiencia fantástica: One of my favorite museums in the world! Coming from New York, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum was such a unique experience. I have not had many opportunities to explore a historical house, especially with its original owner's belongings left behind. I've been here twice so far and cannot wait for my third visit the next time I am in Halifax!

Experiencia fantástica: There's currently an interesting display of items used in the homes of, I believe, Victorian era Dartmouth, Halifax, Nova Scotia. What the role, work and belief system was of women in family and society.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a wonderful place to recall the classical Nova Scotian custom ! It's fun to feel the renovation & appreal styles in the old Halifax during the Victorian time. In addition, there are some fine antique badges and hand-made fragrant candles for sale in the gift store room. Overall, I had a good time here to know about the history in Halifax region.

Experiencia fantástica: We went for a kid’s tour and I was amazed at the great job they did! My 7yo had a blast. She got all her questions answered with a smile and lots of patience, she got to try on some fancy dresses, and she learned a lot of cool facts. They even had an activity planned for the kids that ended up lasting like an hour because the kids just loved it and wanted to keep playing! And they were happy to keep playing with the kids! I highly recommend it! Very interesting for adults too! Thanks again to the staff for the great time!

Experiencia fantástica: I strongly believe this museum should get promoted in Media. It is one-of-a-kind and yet, you may easily miss it even though you live in the neighbourhood for a long time.

Experiencia positiva: The name is a little misleading. It's a tribute to the work of Hellen Creighton plus some Dartmouth history. It has a delightful gift shop. I had my picture taken with a dummy of Joseph Howe. It was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. I would like to go back and enjoy the garden when the weather is nice.

Experiencia positiva: The house has alot of history. Never knew it played a part in the Halifax Explosion. Interesting to see where Helen wrote her stories and her old tape recorder. The backyard is very large and you see some of the Harbour from here.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a living museum. Learn about the original James family, Dr. Helen Creighton and her family. Her connection to Nova Scotia folklore, a history of photography and an awesome Halifax Explosion exhibit. Run don't walk to the Evergreen house!

Experiencia fantástica: Visited the museum with my family on Thursday and we really enjoyed the experience. The staff is friendly, the historical building is well preserved, the artifacts are interesting, and learning about Dartmouth’s history (including some of it most generous leaders) was a great experience! Consider checking it out - it’s worth it.
