Experiencia fantástica: No olvidaré nunca la emoción que sentí al escuchar hablar el griego calabrés. ¡Una de las experiencias más profundas y conmovedoras que he vivido! Amantes de la lingüística, la arqueología, la historia y en general de lo BELLO, vayan a Bova y visiten este impresionante y cuidado museo (donde lo más importante no son los hallazgos sino las guías que les harán revivir un mundo antiguo que aún vive aquí en Bova y en los pueblos vecinos). ¡Gracias de corazón por lo que hacen y la pasión que transmiten! ♥️ p.d. recomiendo llamar antes para confirmar horarios y aperturas.

Experiencia negativa: Lamentablemente, aunque llegué 20 minutos antes de la hora de cierre (a las 12) y después de haber preguntado previamente en el Ayuntamiento, donde me confirmaron la presencia del personal, encontré el museo cerrado. Para quien se ha graduado en lingüística, aseguro que fue un gran dolor no poder rendir homenaje al trabajo del profesor Rohlfs.

Experiencia negativa: Il prof. Rohlfs meriterebbe molto rispetto, questo sito per come è gestito, non lo fa! Un sito assurdo, arrivare fin li, per vedere quasi il nulla. Nessuno che ti sappia dire qualcosa sul perchè di una esposizione, (tipo collezione privata) lo chiamino museo. Più da considerare un luogo per mantenere il posto a qualche amico del paese, che dovevano sistemare. Ha persino un direttore, a cosa possa servire un direttore in una stanza dove quattro cose appese al muro, una specie di circolo di quartiere, quasi una proloco, dove ci hanno servito delle improbabili cibarie locali, facendole passare per tipicità. Il denaro pubblico andrebbe speso meglio. Invece di pagare un direttore "museale", perché non pagate qualcuno per tenere pulito questo posto, e magari affidate alla prologo la gestione, costerebbe meno e sarebbe più utile al paese e proficua.

Experiencia fantástica: Grazie a chi ha realizzato e sta portando avanti questo museo e questo progetto. Per i miei studi Gerhard Rohlfs ha avuto ed ha grande significato eppure non conoscevo la sua battaglia, quella che ha condotto per tutti i calabresi attraverso i suoi studi sulla lingua. Ho appreso e conosciuto questi aspetti significativi della sua vita grazie a questo museo, sinceramente mi sono commossa. Tutti i calabresi dovrebbero studiare cosa ha fatto Rohlfs e dovrebbero farlo a partire dai banchi di scuola, insieme ad altri studiosi che hanno amato e riconosciuto la bellezza e l’unicità di questa terra. Personale gentilissimo. Visitatelo e leggete i pannelli!

Experiencia negativa: Pessima esperienza. Arrivo a Bova poco oltre metà settembre, in epoca quindi ancora turistica. La zona è conosciuta soprattutto per la persistenza del greco. La cosa è di estremo interesse e sono venuto a Bova proprio per rendermi meglio conto della cosa visitando il museo. In paese le informazioni sugli orari del museo sono nascoste, difficili da trovare e da capire, confuse, contraddittorie. Non c'è nessuno che ti dica esattamente. Gli esercizi sono tutti chiusi, mi è anche stato difficile mangiare qualcosa. Arrivo al museo e lo trovo chiuso, nonostante che un bigliettino trovato sulla vetrina di un bar (chiuso) sembrava dire che doveva essere aperto. Sulla porta del museo nessuna indicazione, nessun orario; solo un numero di cellulare al quale non risponde nessuno, nonostante diversi tentativi. Nessuna professionalità, nessun senso dell'accoglienza del visitatore, nessuna consapevolezza del proprio patrimonio. Solo pigrizia ed arroganza. Da dimenticare.

Experiencia fantástica: La visita a questo museo è praticamente una tappa obbligata per poter apprezzare in pieno la speciale cultura e la storia che contraddistingue questo territorio. Imperdibile.

Experiencia fantástica: Small but very interesting museum, because it collects the history and traditions of the Greek populations of the Aspromonte. It is located in the municipality of Bova, Vua in Greek. I was lucky enough to find an excellent guide who was rather verbose in the exhibition, but very precise. He tells the story of the discovery of populations that speak Greek and the vicissitudes over the years. A splendid experience that is added to the summer excursions in Aspromonte that should definitely enter the places protected by UNESCO. And the Grecanic, which is the language of Homer in my opinion, should be the intangible heritage of humanity.

Experiencia fantástica: The "Gerhard Rohlfs" Greek-Calabra Language Museum was inaugurated in Bova on May 21, 2016, thanks to the synergistic intervention of the Aspromonte National Park with the territorial public bodies responsible for enhancing and protecting the cultural heritage of the historical minority- linguistics of the Greeks of Calabria. The museum structure is located right at the entrance to the village, in a particularly symbolic site, as it represents the exact point where the traveler Edward Lear drew a beautiful glimpse of Bova during his wanderings in Calabria in the mid-nineteenth century. A visit to this original museum allows you to get to know the Greek-Calabrian language better, its history and its archaic peculiarities through the exposition of the linguistic theses formulated by Gerhard Rohlfs who, since 1924, supported the Magno-Greek origin of the spoken that still lives in the Hellenophone villages of Bova, Gallicianò and Roghudi, in the most inaccessible slopes of southern Aspromonte. In the six rooms of the museum, each dedicated to great scholars who are interested in the intangible heritage of the Greeks of Calabria, it is possible to explore different aspects of the Greek language, explained both through photos and historical documents, and through audio-visual installations, which allow listen and understand this ancestral language, dating back to the times of Homer. In addition to the exhibition of ethnographic artifacts, which belonged to Gerhard Rohlfs himself, donated to the museum by his son Eckart, it is possible to retrace the vicissitudes of the German linguist, following the exposition of his theses on the Magno-Greek origins of the Greek-Calabrian language, a hypothesis that both they offended the sensibilities of the Italian linguists of the time, as they undermined the nationalist vision of the regime, highlighting how ancient Rome had not been able to Latinize the entire Italian peninsula. In the Franco Mosino room it is in fact possible to investigate, through current archaeological and palaeographic data, but also thanks to reconstructions of historical settings, the millennial path of the Greek-Calabrian language, its transformations by virtue of the contribution of Byzantine culture and later of the influences exerted by the repeated foreign dominations that followed one another in the Aspromontane lands of the Greeks of Calabria.
