Experiencia positiva: What a place, what a collection. Bit annoying that you couldn't back track on yourself so basically went through twice and the guided tours bunged up the passages but plenty of places to rest

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent, like everywhere else in the museum. Allow for 45-50 minutes to go through this section. 30 if in a rush or tired, but I'd visit it at the beginning of the tour of the Museums.

Experiencia positiva: Would recommend going to St Peters basilica if you want very impressive churches. Sistine Chapel has good artwork but is a little underwhelming compared with other churches. Very busy, constantly felt like you were being moved along throughout the museums.

Experiencia positiva: There are magnificent frescoes, majestic sculptures, all in sumptuous rooms. I really enjoyed my visit, but ... The lighting of many masterpieces has been completely neglected. See for example "The Entombment of the Christ", by Caravaggio. If one goes directly in front of this painting, simply to catch the best possible view of it, then the reflections of the lamps are so strong and so bad that they will blind your eyes, and consequently you can only see a small part of the work. The only way to escape these parasitic reflections is to stand aside, as shown by my two photos. I think that this is a bit of a shame, but it can easily be fixed, as I have seen in many other museums, not least in the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan. I would gladly come back here, once the art illumination has been redone by real museum lightning professionals. Meanwhile, I sadly must say that for some of the art pieces exhibited here, you will be better of with what can already be found on the internet.

Experiencia fantástica: A unique experience offering lots of history - interesting for both religious and non-religious visitors. The gallery features a lot of prestigious artists and showcases popular depictions of biblical people. There can be a lot to take in so make sure you take your time to absorb each painting and emotion. Pros: A large repository of fine arts The art is split up into Artists and regions to help with the storytelling Cons: It can be a little maze-like in the museum. Make sure you have a map to hand. AT.
