Experiencia fantástica: Tuve mucha suerte de entrar en el espacio y quedé realmente impresionado con las exhibiciones en exhibición. Cosas muy raras y mucha conocimiento e historia en este pequeño espacio.

Experiencia fantástica: A nice exhibition of antiquities. A single room, but well presented with objects and descriptions. They had a "treasure hunt" going on in the room too, which was surprising because the room isn't very large. They had placed 10 Lego minifigures around the room. Once you had found them all, you could enter to win a prize. A nice way to keep the less interested kids busy whilst others can take more time to explore the exhibit. Good wheelchair accessibility. Toilets here were clean and spacious.

Experiencia fantástica: Super cool little place for both kids and adults! Free admission and staffed by the Classics faculty so you have an expert on site to answer questions :) very cool little museum to wander through. Magical that we have this sort of exhibition all the way in Aotearoa!

Experiencia fantástica: Who knew we had a place like this in NZ? A small museum but with goodies I'd never seen before except in books. Greek and Roman vases and other classical pieces, with the odd Egyptian artifact thrown in. If you have any interest in Classics or ancient theatre, this is a must.

Experiencia positiva: A very small museum. Need help if you are using the wheelchair entrance. 2 x wheelchair lifts. Use Hereford Street entrance, and push the wheelchair buzzer and the staff will open every door up for you.

Experiencia fantástica: Tucked away and quite hard to find the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities is well worth a visit. Part teaching resource, part miscellany, all really, really interesting and packed with intriguing details of ancient Mediterranean cultures. Don't be put off by the standard practice of subdued lighting. Just draw nearer and slow down to take in what's on display. A guide is available to point out greater detail if desired.

Experiencia fantástica: I was there during their "Fantastic Feasts" exhibition. The Museum is very small, but well kept and organized. It has a fairly good concentration of artifacts and decent descriptions to go with them. The staff were friendly and helpful. The best thing about it is that the entrance fee is "by donation" and it's in a good location near to the Canturbury Meuseum and Cristchurch Botanical Gardens, so you can easily add a visit alongside other sightseeing in the area without any inconvenience. Highly recommend it if you're in the neighborhood.

Experiencia fantástica: Small one room museum showcasing Egyptian, Greek etc items. Nice displays with good information about archaeology, aimed more at older children. Some interactive puzzles etc and an explorers activity sheet for children. Free entry, donations appreciated.
