🗣️ Museo Tirau: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Esto está abierto para visitas con cita previa
Experiencia fantástica: Great outing,,the museum is open ,had a great time thank you . Hans
Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately temporarily closed at the moment, adequate contact phone numbers to confirm when you arrive. Looked like it will be an interesting visit when it hopefully reopens again in the future
Experiencia fantástica: Cool place to spend some time
Experiencia fantástica: This place is packed full of history. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Geoff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. The buildings are old farm sheds, so beware in colder months or wet weather, but it adds to its rustic appeal.
Experiencia positiva: guess it was permanently closed?
Experiencia fantástica: Such a hidden treasure
Experiencia fantástica: Loved it would reccomend going for a look
Experiencia positiva: Amazing collection, wear warm clothing if visiting in cooler moths
Experiencia positiva: Very awesome! A must see!
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums I have been to! So many relics & Geoff has been collecting since he was 10! Not like any other museum I have been to. Spent over two hours looking at this collection. Worth the trip.
Experiencia fantástica: This museum holds one of the best. Collections I have ever seen. A must see for every family...Very good prices.
Experiencia positiva: Very enjoyable. Good variety. A lot more there than i thought.
Experiencia fantástica: Wow what a surprise this place is like a tardis,so much to see, a wonderful collection of all sorts, something for everyone, liked the cars and the military stuff. Worth another visit.
Experiencia positiva: Amazing travel back in history.Buildings are very damp so pick a dry day. A true kiwi icon.!!!
Experiencia fantástica: An amazing place with an incredible range of memorabilia. Well worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: The owner is very knowledgeable. Wonderful collection. U can spend a few hours away just looking at everything In detail. So much stuff for a small place. Well worth the five dollar entry fee. A must do on any day. Well recommended. AA++
Experiencia negativa: Was closed
Experiencia negativa: We came back from Rotorua yesterday and wanted to go to the museum. But nobody there, everything grown over! Looked like it was closed for a long time! It was a bit scary looking, the kids didn,t want to stay. So we we were very disappointed, to say the least! To bad.
Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. We will encourage others to view this robust lot of our past
Experiencia fantástica: Great place to have a look around
Experiencia fantástica: So much history and the kids want to go back. When we have more time, we ll definitely visit again! Thanks Geoff for sharing your collection and wish we could ve heard more stories!
Experiencia fantástica: Tirau Museum only accepts cash so bring the exact amount, just in case. Geoff has lots of interesting stories so ask him anything about his collection for over 60 years! They don't have a cafe but you can bring your own food and drinks because he made a cool picnic area. He upcycled his old sewing machines and put marble slabs on top to make tables.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited yesterday and it was fantastic! The museum contained many amazing pieces. It was a great way for children to learn about history. We much prefer this type of museum compared with the Waikato museum. Highly recommend to others!
Experiencia fantástica: Good collection of New Zealand history
Experiencia fantástica: Well presented exibits with the stories to go with them fair price. If you want a good trip down memory lane this is for you. American pickers down under.
Experiencia fantástica: Loved it
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing collection, so many interesting items. We were blown away by the amount of work the owner has done to display his collections. Well worth the visit.
Experiencia fantástica: I give this place 5 star, only because Google have 5 stars. Otherwise I would rate here hundreds of stars. There are no words can describe my feeling after I visit this museum. In those large, national museum, you will see painting, art or some old stones that maybe can proves history. You will be asked to stand away from the collections. But in here, for most of the collections you can even touch them, you can weight them, and imagine how people are using them. In another word, you can feel the history is flowing between your fingers. That is really a feeling you can’t say. The owner collects everything. Old cameras, fancy stone, telephones, old cars, machines, weapons in WW1 and WW2, and I even saw a real canon from a warship. Before I enter this museum, I think this might be a bad idea to spend $5 to visits, as the looking from the outside was really bad... But now I would say, this place, I would spend $50 dollars in. That’s totally worthy.
Experiencia fantástica: Great place, lots to see, I think this little place represents history of NZ even better then Waikato museum. The owner and creator of this place Geoffrey very interesting man, I suggest not to rush and take your time to have a decent conversation with him.
Experiencia fantástica: A really well kept and great selection of items displayed, good place for children to go and enjoy.
Experiencia fantástica: So so much to see
Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing Museum! Two brothers have been collecting this unique collection for more than 50 years. I advise everyone to come here and dive into the history of New Zealand.
