Experiencia fantástica: For such a small space they had quite an interesting range of exhibits including morse code, type writers that you can try to use. Extremely helpful staff. Excellent young historian Hone patiently and carefully explained Maori history to us. Really appreciated it! Thank you

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great museum, small but mighty. The recycling exhibition was really interesting, some great ideas here. The Maori section also well laid out and interesting. Highly recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Was disappointed the only reference to the pre European owners were a few artefacts found on someone's farm. If we are to acknowledge our history must include that surely in today's world. The women at war new exhibition was too wordy...writing too high to read....the old films were good but need headphones to hear clearly..use maybe bullet points in bigger fonts... If more depth use someone talking...easier than standing in middle attempting to read up high ..shame some of the women mentioned were never interviewed....would have brought reality to it alll Kate Simmons

Experiencia positiva: My second visit. Current exhibition on women serving in WW1 is excellent and finishes end of this month so do see it before it goes to Waiouru. Fortunate to have very well informed volunteers on this time.

Experiencia fantástica: If you haven't been here, make sure you stop by for a visit soon! This place has so many cool historical things on display even the building has a history! I believe this was the old firehouse for the region. Would definately stop by if driving past.

What a neat place to go to, well done to Paula and her team and the locals of Katikati It appears that they change things around every 3 months or so, always something new to look at, so you will need to go back, this museum is also supported by Te Papa in Wellington, it even has hands on for the young to enjoy.
