Experiencia fantástica: Nice experience, although, since it is an interactive museum, it needs some maintenance in some samples that are damaged.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an extremely unique museum in the world---it is located in a lovely park full of vendors selling ice creams and empanada, full of life, and the museum is located in a lovely building. Although it was not big which was why we first visited after 3pm to spend the extra afternoon hours---we were immediately attracted---not only does it offer interesting classes almost back to back, but also the staff members really take care of each visitors, actively approach each child and adult visitor to make sure everyone has a good understanding of what is going on. Even though it is small, it is full of life and knowledge---on 2nd floor the planets of solar system is displayed according to the sizes which is very interesting. It is true that everything is in Spanish so it is more like a school. My son unfortunately broke his elbow when in Santiago and our stay was extended, after he had his surgery we visited the museum twice more during the last few days. The idea behind everything is education, there are actually only 3 or 4 staff members but as they are so active, all kids can feel that they are well taken care of. This is totally different from Mirada in Santiago---although Mirada is bigger, it is very empty, more like a playground for kids to play on their own, there were only a total of 2 lectures a day---for one of the lectures my son waited for 20 mins only to be informed that as my two kids are the only 2 audience the lecture is to be cancelled, but here, the teachers told us anything the kids are interested, they will come and explain! This is a museum with a soul. The few staff members are just great educators full of passion for both science, technology, but also their country. They were talking about the finance system of the park, about Chilean economy, everywhere they showed love and care of the country. These are great people just to meet. My son is particularly fond of the rocket experiment which he watched 3 or 4 times. This is also much more affordable for ordinary chileans---the tickets are only 1000 pesos per person, which is only slightly more than 1 dollar---in comparison to 5000 or 6000 charged by Mirado, and that this one is so centrally located, accessible by metro. The science museum in Mexico city can be compared to this one but it probably has hundreds of employees with round the clock lectures, with a fee of around $20 US dollar which is not even affordable for everyone. It is clear that the management behind this museum is trying to make it affordable for all kids. It is true that i only understand what they say through my son's translation but even with the language barrier i could feel their passion for their work, i can feel that they are doing things which they truly enjoy. There is a Chinese proverb which all Chinese kids must learn at school: 山不在高,有仙则名。水不在深,有龙则灵---which translates as: The mountain is not famous due to its height, but which kind of deity who lives in it, the water is not famous due to its depth but the type of dragon which lives in it. Through the operations of this lovely museum I finally understanding the meaning of this Chinese proverb. This museum is the most success example of what a small museum can do in the world.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! Best museum I visited in Santiago, they charge a thousand pesos per adult person, but it's really worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: Good place for an approach to the science that surrounds us on a day-to-day basis. Perfect for the minors at home, when I went outside there were also activities, not associated with the museum. It has rooms where we have various experiments that explain the basic principles of science. It also has a part dedicated to astronomy and astrology, excellent attention, it does not have so much space but well designed, all spaces are used for their purpose. Recommended 100%.

Experiencia fantástica: The Museum of Science and Technology was founded in 1985, located inside the Parque Quinta Normal, in the Partenón building, which previously housed the Museum of Fine Arts and later, the Museum of Contemporary Art. It is the first interactive museum in Chile The nearest Metro station is Quinta Normal on Line 5. On Mondays it is closed.

Experiencia fantástica: Small museum, but it explains very well, these spaces are appreciated.

Gustavo Duran 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: It is part of the free museums of the fifth normal, it was the first to bring children closer to science, in the 80-90s it was like today's MIM, which does not mean that it is entertaining. Papas remember more museums less mall.

Zaira Aillapan 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: The value of the entrance is good, it is very didactic and there are people who provide information on the doubts you have, very good

Experiencia fantástica: Spectacular interactive museum to learn about the evolution of the most important electronic devices and learn scientific concepts in a playful, entertaining and practical way. Very useful for schoolchildren.

Neil Mago Maneiro 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: I really liked the place a lot. The number of spaces to understand various physical phenomena is very entertaining. Visiting its spaces accompanied by other people who are also interested in science and technology allows you to enjoy its spaces even more. I took my wife and children and they all had a lot of fun and kept asking questions and interacting with the machines and other elements found there. You have to go with enough time to not be running and to be able to scrutinize all the details that they offer. I understand that there is change in some of the exhibits. In short, I recommend you visit it whenever you can because you will not get bored.
