Experiencia fantástica: Small museum that explains the early history of Portland, the first European settled area of Victoria. $3 entry and very helpful staff. Its in the old Town Hall opposite the port. The Botanical Gardens are just 5 minutes walk away.

Experiencia fantástica: New premises have now been opened behind the original building. The new building now houses Warrnambool & District Historical Society and Warrnambool Family History Group. These groups are now under the banner of Warrnambool Heritage Works. It is an amazing space for researching all things history of Warrnambool and browsing publications. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 12noon and 1.30pm to 4pm or by appointment
