Experiencia fantástica: Nice museum very informative. Free Entry but can donate inside.
Experiencia fantástica: Tbh I didn't even know this place existed and probably should have seems as I actually did serve in the qrl, I just came across it after a car show on the grounds and I'm glad I did as to me the museum was better than the show, I would definitely recommend it to everybody.
Experiencia fantástica: This extremy interesting museum tells over three hundred years of history of three cavalry regiments with links to Nottinghamshire. There are excellent information boards for the numerous exhibits of swords, pistols, uniforms, medals and many other fascinating items including the bugle used during the charge of the Light Brigade in 1854. Incredible! There is a well stocked shop and the friendly volunteers are happy to answer any questions. All in the lovely setting of Thoresby Park courtyard.
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing museum on the first floor of the coach house at Thoresby Hall. Information boards guide you through the formation, conflicts and reorganisations of the regiments, including putting them into an historical context. My teenage son and I spent a couple of hours engrossed in the exhibits. Many larger museums could learn a thing or two about presenting information from here. We'd have loved to have learnt more about how the Conqueror tank fits into the regiments' stories, but I'm sure this will come in time. Thoroughly recommended if you have any interest in military history. And it's free (other than a donations box, which it certainly deserves)!
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic place to visit. Even the younger kids loved it.
Experiencia fantástica: Second time back here A Good history of the Cavalry Regiments 17TH21ST / 16/5TH a Good insight to Battles and Clothing worn.well worth a visit if your a civvy or Ex Army.

Experiencia fantástica: Hidden little gem. Very informative. Definitely worth popping into whilst you're in the area.
Experiencia fantástica: Free access ,manned by volunteers. In a lovely quaint courtyard setting with a café, & several 'crafty' oriented shops. Nice area to walk nearby. Despite being on level 2, the museum has a disability lift available. A very detailed, well laid out fairly complete visual history,up to the present day deployments. incorporating more than just 17th & 21 at Lancers histories/amalgamation. Well worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Interesting story and history of the regiment
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent day out. Thoresby Park £3 to park otherwise free.
Experiencia fantástica: First visit, thoroughly enjoyed it. Predominantly stuff relating to 17th/21st and 16th/5th probably because 9th/12th have a museum in Derby. Restoration of the Conqueror tank looks great.
