Experiencia fantástica: Segunda visita hoy a este encantador e interesante museo y aprendí aún más sobre la historia de Leigh. Los voluntarios eran muy amables y realmente informativos. Voy a visitar de nuevo un par de veces más con mis dos grupos de nietos para que puedan ver la cabaña de los pescadores como sería a finales del siglo XIX, aprender sobre el contrabando, la marina - creo que las guerras napoleónicas y los pequeños barcos que se apresuraron a Dunkerque en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Una visita imprescindible si estás en el casco antiguo.

Experiencia positiva: Popped in for a quick visit and was impressed by the building and its contents. Set up as a cottage. Only small but informative. And free!

Experiencia fantástica: A lovely little informative museum of an era now lost. This is a free museum open to all and shows the layout of an old fisherman's cottage where he and his family lived. The rooms are set up as they would have been with original fittings and furniture. Take a step back in time and enjoy this little museum as you stroll through Leigh and have a pint in the local rub-a-dub and remember how difficult things were back in the day.

Experiencia fantástica: Quintessentially English. 300 years of village fishing history in a restored cockles house. Beautiful heritage gem in a chocolate box working village. A must see. Knowledgeable and helpful volunteers. Apparently, people from all over world travel here to trace family history.

A look back at what life was in the old days when going into the house that had been full of things from the olden days. Took grandad and he loved it. Staff friendly and polite would be good for children learning about history of Leigh or any port town
