Experiencia fantástica: A friendly welcome to a volunteer led museum, with large variety of exhibits, alongside the serious history. The trail through the museum worked well. We enjoyed the way the exhibits were grouped. In all a very interesting visit.

Went to see the Katherine Parr prayer book and it was not disappointing what an amazing historical find. We are so lucky to have free museums like this with so much local information. Lots for children to interact with. Highly recommended.

Experiencia positiva: Very interesting collection of local memorabilia. Gives a nice overview of Faversham from the beginning. Some child friendly areas and a. Second floor of costume and household artifacts. Guided tours are available. All free. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolute gem of a museum - it's not very big, but packs lots in and is completely free to visit (donations appreciated!). The museum follows the history of Faversham from Roman times through to modern day. Lots of hands on exhibits and activities for children - very family friendly. Volunteers are eager to interact and answer questions, and really are a credit to the museum. Our favourite exhibit was the working telephone exchange where we had an interesting chat with a volunteer who used to work in one. My son was fascinated with the workings of the machinery and the volunteer was very patient in explaining everything and allowing him to try out all the phones. Would allow 1-2 hours for your visit - you could see it all in an hour but two hours will give you more time to interact/do activities. Very clean, free toilets on site.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed our visit, we particularly wanted to see the ancient copy of the Magna Carta, and wasn't disappointed, we had a guided tour by a very knowledgeable member of the team, called Graham making our visit all the more interesting.

Leave plenty of time for your visit, so much to see spread over a large area, very good guide Edward full of information all about items in museum from neolithic arifacts, roman history, anglo-saxon era to present day and ages in between !!
