ℹ️ Informations

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful Museum of modern arts ,today Friday was a free admission! My best friend and I had lunch at the restaurant which was a great experience ! We will comeback in the evening for cocktails .
Expérience fantastique: A FABULOUS MUSEUM! Thought provoking permanent collections! Intriguing special exhibits: presently through August 25th, 2024 Rebecca Manson BARBECUE, not to be missed!
Expérience positive: Free Fridays are a family favorite. The exhibits are often amazing, and the employees are so helpful.
Expérience fantastique: Very cool aesthetic throughout the building. The art displays are interesting and fun to explore.
Expérience fantastique: Definitely worth a couple hours of your time while you’re in the area.
Expérience fantastique: Very interesting museum with many different themed art pieces.
Expérience fantastique: I was surprised when I asked about a teacher’s discount and they told me teachers enter for free!! Also students pay half price
Expérience fantastique: Beautiful space and art. Excellent film series. Can't miss First Friday at the Modern.
Expérience fantastique: My 20 year old Buick had a problem from lack of use. Cutting Edge diagnosed the problem, kept the car overnight and had it repaired by noon the next day. What a bunch of nice, smart guys. They deserve 5 stars plus a few.
Expérience positive: I enjoyed the surrealism exhibit of indigenous cultures based on the artists' experience. Some of the food was overpriced for size and type. REALLY, a wedge salad for $21 it was barely enough for a small person. My brother and I were shocked. I really like the movie.
Expérience fantastique: An underrated museum. It’s worth the visit. Certain you will find a piece that will stop you in your tracks. The museum is also a ROAM member.
Expérience fantastique: Awesome exhibit, wonderful experience! A few of my favorites ❤️.
Expérience fantastique: This place is a treasure. It's pointless to try to articulate what you can only experience through being present. Just go, and it's free on Fridays.
Expérience fantastique: Wonderful. Modern Art at its best
Expérience positive: Love this museum. Beautiful collection and intriguing visiting exhibits. Also attended a trombone concert while there. Tadao Ando's stunning architecture sets this building apart, as well as the pond. and surrounding landscape. The Cafe Modern serves excellent fare but seems overpriced to me. First Fridays are an excellent way to enjoy the museum collection for free, while also enjoying life music, snacks, and drinks. I would give this museum five stars if it did not charge admission as it's two neighbors, the Kimbell and the Amon Carter, do.
Expérience fantastique: Lovely indoor art Museum. Easy light walking some stairs, though. Lots of fun color paintings. Many diverse art styles are from around the world. I have gone there times in about year and always new art to gaze at.
Expérience fantastique: I’ve come to this museum for years, and I’m impressed every single time. The art selection is beautiful. I never leave without being amazed by the talent presented. I’ll continue to come back for years to come!
Expérience positive: Came to a special event sponsored by Fort Worth Camera. We were allowed to roam and look for photos where ever we might see them. Weather was good and company was good. #fwcamera #funkytownfocus
Expérience fantastique: I (and I believe, many others) sometimes struggle to understand and appreciate certain kinds of modern art. Usually, that’s because as a viewer we lack context that’s necessary to understand the artists’ vision. Luckily for me and anyone else who visits this gorgeous building, a great deal of the pieces include descriptions of the artist and their vision behind the piece. This makes the art even more enjoyable! An example is the ladder; it’s a beautiful piece on its own. But the context gives it an even deeper meaning. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by. They seem to change the exhibitions routinely so you never know what you’re going to find!
Expérience fantastique: Went to this museum on a spontaneous outing with my sister and niece and it did not disappoint! Admission and parking was free which is a huge plus! And the staff was extremely nice and helpful! The museum itself is massive and boasts plenty of collections to view. Taking your time to appreciate each piece, you could easily spend every day for a week exploring all of the exhibits. Definitely recommend for those that are fans of art, culture, and history!
Expérience fantastique: The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth offers an engaging and eye-opening experience that captivated both me and my children. Our visit was particularly enjoyable on a Friday, as the museum offers free admission, making it an excellent choice for a cost-effective and fun family activity. The museum's collection features a diverse range of contemporary artworks that spark curiosity and imagination. My children were fascinated by the vibrant and sometimes unusual pieces on display. The interactive exhibits and spacious galleries allowed them to explore and appreciate modern art.
Expérience fantastique: I absolutely loved this modern art experience. The building is a beautiful concrete and glass structure that acts as a giant maze, slowly revealing all the works inside. I highly recommend if you are in the area.
Expérience fantastique: I think I tapped the wrong answer on the cost question. You can visit for free. We love this museum.
Expérience fantastique: Wonderful experience. Breathtaking art gallery. Tour guide was a plus.
Expérience fantastique: The Modern art Museum is lovely! Their exhibitions are always wonderful and staff is just as great.
Expérience fantastique: It's absolutely great that small business empowered women are able to get together and host networking events and support each other. Thank you for opening your Doors
Expérience fantastique: Such a beautiful place. It’s so calming and relaxing
Expérience fantastique: The art collection was impressive. The Surrealism and Us: Caribbean and African Diasporic Artists since 1940. On view through July 28.
Expérience fantastique: It's a worthwhile stop. The architecture of the building is relaxing. The staff is impeccable. The restaurant is also worthwhile
Expérience fantastique: The Modern Art Museum is an absolute gem among the museums of Fort Worth. So many incredible artworks from all over the world. I'm not an art aficionado or big art fan, but I enjoyed the beauty and serenity of this museum. We attended The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg exhibit. Incredible works of art that showcased the talent of Takashi Murakami and Japanese art. The museum is huge! We walked through the place often thinking we were at the end of the building and then we would find another door/hallway leading to more artwork. We spent a couple hours in it and did not see it all. The museum offers discounts on certain days as well. On the first Friday of the month, they have a free viewing in the evening with a happy hour with snacks and drinks available for purchase. Students get a reduced rate with a valid student ID. There is also a cafe with a full service bar, perfect for a weekend brunch. The museum shows films in their movie theater. I saw a viewing of the documentary Simple As Water here with a Q&A with the director and two stars of the film, absolutely incredible experience. The sculptures and the reflecting pool are so peaceful. I will be back to see more! Lovely place to spend an afternoon.
Expérience fantastique: My siblings and I enjoyed the Modern Art Museum! It was such a wonderful experience. The employees were helpful. The store that they have in the lobby is so cute! They have many wonderful and unique art pieces. I would recommend to visit if you're in the area. We visited during the 'Surrealism and Us' exhibit. Also! Friday's are free, so definitely take the opportunity if you have the chance.
Expérience fantastique: The Fort Worth Modern Art Museum offers a captivating experience for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike, with its striking architecture and thought-provoking exhibitions. At an affordable admission fee of $16, it provides access to a diverse range of contemporary artworks that never fail to inspire and challenge perceptions. Whether you're exploring innovative installations or curated displays, this museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the cutting edge of artistic expression.
Expérience positive: My recent visit to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth was a truly enriching and inspiring experience. From the moment I stepped into the striking building designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando, I was captivated by the seamless blend of modern architecture and contemporary art. The museum's collection is nothing short of impressive, featuring works by some of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. From iconic pieces by Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock to thought-provoking installations by contemporary artists, there was something to engage and challenge every visitor. What struck me most about the museum was its commitment to showcasing a diverse range of voices and perspectives. The thoughtfully curated exhibitions explored a wide array of themes and subjects, sparking conversations and inviting viewers to see the world in new ways. In addition to its impressive collection, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth also offers a variety of educational programs and events for visitors of all ages. From guided tours and lectures to hands-on workshops and family activities, there are plenty of opportunities to deepen one's understanding and appreciation of art. Overall, my experience at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth was nothing short of exceptional. Its world-class collection, stunning architecture, and commitment to fostering creativity and dialogue make it a must-visit destination for art lovers and enthusiasts alike. I look forward to returning soon to continue exploring all that this cultural gem has to offer.
Expérience positive: It's OK. The surrealism art is great but the regular Modern Art is super boring. Free parking always & free admission on Fridays. Love that.
Expérience fantastique: One of my favorite places to go. I went recently regarding the US and the diaspora And the Caribbean exhibit
Expérience fantastique: Incredible architecture, such a cool place.
Expérience positive: We went for the first time on a Friday. Admission was free. The exhibit was OK. It was a nice afternoon out.
Expérience fantastique: What an amazing experience! Staff was super friendly, and the exhibits were some of the most thought-provoking pieces I've seen in a long time.
Expérience fantastique: A lovely collection - just the right size for a day visit. And be sure to try their restaurant. Yummy food and great service in a very tranquil location.
Expérience fantastique: Awesome post WW2 contemporary art, with works by Warhol and Pollock. The docent was very helpful, so the public tours are great for those wanting to learn more about art. Highly recommend the Caribbean artist showcase before it ends this summer.
Expérience positive: Nice galley. The building is very cool. Lots of 'contemporary' art, most of which I just don't get. There were some very interesting pieces. There was one Salvatore Dali on display. Parking and admission were free! We spent about 2 hours there. We went to get a couple cups of coffee and they wanted to know if 'we had a reservation!' LOL
Expérience fantastique: The movie area was rather nice, but the older, drunk crowd that doesn't know how to silence their cellphones is an issue
Expérience fantastique: Absolute gem of a museum- small but mighty!!(with a great restaurant too!)
Expérience fantastique: Husband and I love this museum. Always interesting art that we can talk about. We love spending a few hours wandering the museum and relaxing.
Expérience fantastique: I’ve been going to The Modern since the swimming pool was on view in the old building, now Community Arts Center. Not only is the architecture cutting edge but the exhibits rival those of MOMA. This is a gem in the rodeo queen crown of Fort Worth.
Expérience positive: Beautiful art and a wonderful experience. Great venue for events.
Expérience positive: Very clean and spacious. Can reasonably knock out the whole museum in 2-3 hours at most. Would recommend returning every now and then throughout the year to see what is rotated in and out. I'm not a particular fan of modern art in comparison to renaissance era artwork but it was a nice experience all the same.
Expérience fantastique: Very beautiful. Some of the art confused me. Some I found surprising, and some were inspiring.
Expérience fantastique: One of my favorite museums in the DFW area. The Modern is worth a visit even between special exhibitions. These photos reflect pieces from the permanent connection.
Expérience positive: Great Visit and Fridays are Free
Expérience fantastique: Great space and exhibit. The art outside and inside was incredible. Fridays were free but that just might be a promotion (We didn't know until we got to the ticket counter). I would highly suggest a reservation if you plan on eating at the restaurant. It was a long wait before and after we entered the gallery.
Expérience fantastique: I could spend a week at The Modern and not be able to take it all in. The space itself is a tribute to art. The architecture of the building supports the works that are displayed inside.
Expérience positive: Went on the last day of a wonderful exhibition-Jaune Quick-To-See Smith. Her pieces and the free scannable tour were great. There is an entrance fee which allows you to go to any part of the museum. The permanent collection is good as well. I did not love the order of the tour, but I figured that out quickly. The cafe served lunch til 3. The Stock Show was going on across the street, so I gave myself plenty of time to find parking- got a spot in the museum lot, no fee! There are 2 other world class museums less than 3 blocks away and other nice restaurants within a half mile.
Expérience fantastique: I went on a late Friday afternoon. Not too much of a rush and it was free. Really, enjoy the art work and how creative the setups were in each room. I definitely will be returning soon! Next time I will reserve a ticket for the tour to understand the background of the artist and their work. It was amazing. Also, they have QR codes which were very helpful.
Expérience fantastique: I love the architecture of this museum!! The exhibits are very interesting!
Expérience positive: Beautiful building and facilities. Artwork quality and quantity was disappointing though.
Expérience fantastique: Fantastic work from Jimmie Holmes. The amazing Vortex. Free on Fridays
Expérience positive: Modern Art Museum has such a great exhibit of art! If you are in DFW area check it out!! Fridays are free admission as well!! Great for all ages and a new cafe just added for a nice lunch. Wondering why 3 stars? An employee at the museum that scans tickets presumed to be a little racist. He followed my parents and I around and had an attitude because I was supposedly too close to a piece of art I was admiring. The worker told me to not get too close in case I fall. I’m a grown woman that can hold her balance. There were other races at the museum who were closer to the art work and the worker did not say anything to those guest. Modern Art Museum please make sure you make all guest feel welcome. I know one bad apple doesn’t stop the show and there were other friendly staff at the museum. Please continue to respect all cultural ethnicities visiting the museum.
Expérience fantastique: The architecture alone merits a visit, as it was designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadau Ando . The moat at twilight reflects the blue glittering words of the site-specific Jennie Holzer, which is aptly named Kinda Blue. You can see it from across the grounds outside the restaurant even when they’re not open. BTW the restaurant is also fabulous and shouldn’t be missed.
Expérience positive: Fun to walk around and entertain your eyes.
Expérience fantastique: They have free admission on Friday. I have yet to attend their movie nights. And they offer drawing from the gallery days which I believe are free as well. I keep up with them on instagram because they’re always doing something. This is a very nice museum. The architecture is really fascinating.
Expérience fantastique: As always, this is a great place to visit. Good lunch spot, too.
Expérience fantastique: As always, another amazing exhibit! I could never get tired of coming here!
Expérience fantastique: Very enjoyable experience. Good mix of paintings and sculpture. Impressive collection and very friendly staff. Plenty of space to view the works with others. Recommended!
Expérience fantastique: Fabulous museum with incredible exhibits. If you have an appreciation for art do yourself a favor and set aside a few hours to spend here. I barely saw everything in two hours and I was moving a bit quick.
Expérience fantastique: Two friends and I enjoyed lunch here and then viewing the spacious galleries. (Order the elegant Fried Green Tomato Sandwich! Delicious!) Outstanding contemporary art. Amazing reflecting pool surrounds the museum.
Expérience fantastique: Visited the KAWS exhibition "Where the end starts" at the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum back in January 2017 ... all I can say: AMAZING !!
Expérience fantastique: The cafe is so amazing. The Wofgang Puck restaurant is such a hidden gem. Tranquil views, lovely staff, exceptional food: Almost everything from pasta to ice cream is made in house!
Expérience négative: The problem with modern art in general, which wholly applies to this museum, is it falls into its own pretentiousness. Much of it cannot be understood and does not appear to be aesthetically pleasing. Where have we fallen as a society when art hundreds of years ago is much more beautiful? The museum could use a change of name and some classic pieces. The only thing that was nice was the ladder and a painting of animals.
Expérience fantastique: It was good, the art was great and the tickets were half off as the second level is close.
Expérience fantastique: I am not really an art lover, but I was invited by my brother. He has favorite exhibits and paintings that mean a lot to him. I was impressed by the beautiful building and the staff. Then we started walking through the rooms. I saw paintings that made me emotional, curious, puzzled and lots of other feelings that I did not expect. My favorite exhibit was Jammie Holmes. After seeing that exhibit we walked around looking at everything else. I really wanted to see the work of Jammie Holmes again before leaving. I saw so many more things in the paintings I didn't see the first time. It was an amazing experience. I recommend visiting this art museum even if you are not particularly interested in this kind of thing.
Expérience fantastique: Step into a realm where creativity knows no bounds at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, TX. Within its walls, you'll discover a curated collection that pushes the boundaries of tradition, inviting you to engage, contemplate, and interpret. Expérience fantastique: I was in town on business and had a free afternoon. I really enjoyed their art collection. Some famous names and some greatlarge scale pieces. They were showcasing Robert Motherswell, whom I had not heard of prior, and his works was incredible! The way the pieces were arranged in the museum was very well done. Overall, a completely fantastic experience.
Expérience fantastique: This place has some of the most wonderful settings for the art inside and out. Contemporary architecture, atmosphere that morphs room by room, piece by piece. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth curates the space as much as the art, encouraging contemplation in the best of ways. Make sure to visit the bar & cafe. Skye is one of the best bartenders I've ever had. The staff were all great.
Expérience fantastique: Beautiful pieces and amazing building. The building itself is a work of art! They always have great collections. Good finds in the gift shop as well! We get a membership every year and it is always worth it.
Expérience fantastique: This is a lot of fun. We had a great time. Modern art tends to be funky and weird but set aside any preconceived notions and just enjoy it. This is right next door to the Kimbell Museum which is a more traditional museum and collection. We saw both museums in one day and it was very rewarding. The Modern Art museum has free admission on Fridays.
Expérience fantastique: It was a great experience. Worldly items and great service. I think it was an Italian mimosa with limoncello and French with lavender.
Expérience positive: It's a gorgeous museum, especially with the reflection pond. The gallery attendants are informative and very helpful. The giftshop is one of the best giftshops I've ever seen, and the cafe is exquisite. There is one complaint: the permanent collection very rarely changes. I can understand keeping the signature collection on view, such as the Book With Wings.
Expérience fantastique: Bread and Gravy was Presented by Jubilee Theater I enjoyed the SHOW and The PAM Theater of Fort Worth I LOVE FT.WORTH,T
Expérience positive: I attended First Friday at the museum and really enjoyed it. Live jazz, free entrance to the exhibit, a fashion show....many friendly people to mingle with. There was also a cash bar. It was a great vibe and a nice way to spend a few hours.
Expérience fantastique: Architectural jewel, uncrowded galleries, thought-provoking exhibits, delicious restaurant. Always worth a visit!
Expérience fantastique: Great museum. Visited for a special exhibit.
Expérience positive: First Friday is a great way to get introduced to the Modern! All the people who work there are so nice, helpful and offer tips or art details. It's a beautiful venue! Only down side was the crowd but even the patrons were nice. I'll definitely be back!
Expérience fantastique: Always intriguing with art across a broad spectrum of styles during the year. A classic gallery locally.
Expérience fantastique: Amazing museum! The museum itself is a great work of art.
Expérience fantastique: Two stories of art. Be sure to go down all the hallways that you think you shouldn't, as there is art hidden there. We went on a free day.
Expérience positive: Liked the set up with furniture very comfortable, food was out on beef, noodles with little vegetables was good . Missed the live music, DJ was next best .
Expérience fantastique: Great lunch at the Cafe, which is new to me. Delicious but very expensive. We especially enjoyed dining outside.
Expérience fantastique: I absolutely loveeee this museum, so beautiful, relaxing, and expressive
Expérience fantastique: Parking was easy, and the exhibits were nicely spread out making plenty of room to social distance and enjoy the artwork. We will definitely go again.
Expérience fantastique: Very nice museum. There are many passages and display rooms on both floors. There is a gift shop and restaurant and several restrooms.
Expérience fantastique: A beautiful building and beautiful exhibit. A fair price to take in some culture.
Expérience positive: It's pretty cool to visit it one time. Came here for a different exhibition that wasn't there anymore:/ still pretty cool
Expérience fantastique: Friday's are free. There is a lovely cafe/bar in the museum. Prices are very reasonable and service was great
Expérience fantastique: Visited on the last friday of the month which was free. 2 levels qhich can be covered in 1.5 hours. Not a big selection however a very peaceful place to apend the afternoon. Reataurant on site.
Expérience fantastique: We love the Modern Art Museum team. Thank you for always taking such great care of our clients and always ensuring beautiful service! Lottie Fowler, owner of Grit & Gold Event Co.
Expérience fantastique: Love the modern art museum! Beautiful art and love that certain days are free. I love how the collections change periodically to enjoy new viewings. A great place for a date or a new hangout experience with friends/family!
