🗣️ Alcázar di Segovia: Opinioni
Esperienza fantastica: The Alcázar de Segovia (Segovia Royal Palace) is very picturesque. Set on a hill with views of the city above and the surrounding countryside, it belongs in a fairytale. It's well preserved, having been renovated in the 19th century. As in many other structures that were built in stages, its architectural style is eclectic. Rooms inside have been renovated to reflect its long history. Ceilings are very ornate and some parts look and feel more like a museum than a palace.
Esperienza fantastica: Most people walk around inside the town, but you should get out of the stone wall and enjoy the view from outside. It would not disappoint your kids to bring them to the castle which is distinctive by virtue of its shape - like the bow of a ship. Has served as a royal palace for 22 monarchs, it has a rich history and beautiful art and architecture.
Esperienza fantastica: Awesome castle fortress. Inspired the Disney Snow White castle. Do the 152 ste tower for awesome view of Segovia. Very picturesque!
Esperienza fantastica: It was a wow place. My mom is from Segovia but I have never been inside. The deco of the place is stunning with different styles from different periods. I strongly recommend to visit El Alcazar. The tower has very steep stairs so keep it in mind. Worthy for the price.
Esperienza fantastica: Magnificent building. Imposing and watching over Segovia. It is worth visiting it inside and feeling the history within its walls.
Esperienza fantastica: Alcázar de Segovia is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the beautiful city of Segovia in Spain. This historic fortress, built in the 12th century, is perched on a hill overlooking the city, and its commanding presence is a testament to the rich history and culture of this region. The castle is well-preserved and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the famous aqueduct of Segovia. Inside, visitors can explore the various rooms and chambers, including the grand hall, the armory, and the chapel. The castle also has a small museum that displays a collection of historic artifacts and artwork. One of the highlights of the castle is the tower, which offers panoramic views of Segovia and the surrounding landscape. Climbing the tower is an unforgettable experience, and it's a great way to appreciate the stunning architecture and engineering of the castle. The castle also hosts various cultural events throughout the year, including concerts, theatrical performances, and exhibitions. Visitors can check the castle's website to see what events are happening during their visit. Al Cazar of Segovia is a must-see attraction for anyone traveling to Segovia. Its rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views make it an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a beautiful place to visit, Al Cazar of Segovia is a must-visit destination.
Esperienza fantastica: This is one of the must visit palaces in the world. I enjoyed every room and terrace, and the tower had a captivating view.
Esperienza fantastica: We came on a Monday afternoon. There were not too many people and we were able to buy tickets and get right in. We bought tickets to climb the tower and had a specific time to do the climb. The views all around the Alcazar are fabulous, and there is so much to see it can take 2-3 hours inside, unless you just choose to walk past everything without really understanding or learning about it. I recommend the audio guide. Easy to use and helpful!
Esperienza fantastica: Really incredible castle thst as now white and the seven dwarfs modeled after. I was really intrigued by the space where the draw bridge used to be and the most is a giant drop that’s insane to comprehend. Don’t forget to go behind the cafeteria for amazing view of the castle and cathedral and make sure you walk the wall towards the cathedral.
Esperienza fantastica: Excellent example of medieval architecture and lifestyle in Spain. The castle and the science laboratory are both excellent, well preserved and well-worth a visit. Views from the castle are truly breathtaking and its history has so much to tell. Architectural influence from the Ottomans and all art pieces make for a fantastic experience. A definite must.
Esperienza fantastica: Fascinating architecture. Sadly I was not able to go inside (limited time). The view of the castle outside is incredible and it's still worth a visit if you're not able to go in. You get a nice view of Segovia and a fantastic view towards the cathedral. Well worth a visit!
Esperienza fantastica: This palace looks like the scenes from Disney movies. So charm place with lots of history a town you can walk and enjoy its streets also has good places to eat local flavors
Esperienza fantastica: Pretty nice castle to visit. Surrounded by a valley with a nice view. As of Nov 2022, it was 6 euros to go inside and an extra 3 euros totaling 9 to climb tower, which I would say is worth it. There is a bathroom / toilet immediately after entering in the cellar. No food or drinks sold inside. You buy tickets in the building next door on the left. Ground floor takes about 15 -45 to explore , depending on how fast you go. The castle isn't that big, only about 9 rooms or so to visit, plus a gift shop. The tower you have to pay for separately, and you're only allowed up in timed intervals as part of a group. (We learned this the hard way after missing a schedule departure, because our primary school Spanish was not up to par and the gift shop lady did not speak good English). They say it is 152 steps, and I'd approximate it is about 4-6 stories worth of staircases. IMO not an issue at all for any healthy kid or adult, but otherwise will pose an issue. The staircase is very narrow. View is pretty good, and I think if you're already here you might as well pay the extra few euros to check it out. At a brisk pace through everything you could probably see it all in 1 hour (depends on the timing of the tower tour, it is set intervals at 00:15 and 00:45 as far as I can tell). A more moderate relaxed pace will probably land you at around 1-1.5 hours, maybe 2 hours if you take your time (as we did). Glad we did it though, was a decent castle as far as European castles go.
Esperienza fantastica: Dazzling castle and grounds with stunning views in every direction. Worth taking a tower tour. The interiors are marvelous too. The highlight for me was the substantial and mind-blowing moat system. Truly one of the most historically significant places in Spain, the entire grounds (and great cafe/bar with outdoor terrazza) are filled with eye-popping treats and fine metal work. A must-see!
Esperienza fantastica: What a fantastic experience for everyone. Young and old can come here and experience a castle and the beautiful scenery. The views from up on the castle are amazing. The walk to the castle is fun with shops and eateries along the way just remember that between 2-5 you’re gonna miss out on a lot of them.
Esperienza fantastica: This Castle is IMPRESSIVE! Totally worth the visit ????. The views from the top are amazing specially the natural scenery around it. This medieval castle was the real inspiration for Disney World Castle, if you notice. All the rooms inside are beautifully layout and decorated, the armor and weapons replicas and objects and things from that time are so real that you can easily imagine life in these times. Pay attention to all the details and work on the walls and ceilings on each room, really gorgeous! And the town of Segovia is one of my favorites, such a cute and vibrant town, love it ????????????
Esperienza positiva: Iconic place in Segovia. It was nostalgic to visit it again after 40 years. The aqua duct is so impressive. Walking through the old town was amazing. Seniors be aware that it is a difficult walk. It is all up and steep down hill on cobbled streets. Difficult for people with reduced mobility. The castle is awesome A real life Disney castle!! Views of the surrounding area are fantastic.
