Esperienza positiva: I really, really enjoyed our stop at the Philbrook, especially because my husband and I worked a combined ten summers at Philmont Scout Ranch and I have toured the Villa Philmonte dozens of times. However, I felt like one particular docent was targeting our family because my kiddo touched one of the antique chests on the ground floor. The chest was not clearly marked as part of the museum and we had no warning about similar items at check-in. The docent then followed us through other rooms and specifically warned us about wet paint that was clearly roped off with signage as if he expected our kiddo to touch it. I would recommend a simple no touching sign (easy for kids to understand) or collection label next to the chests or specific instructions at check-in so that other families are not put in the awkward position we were, especially since it seems like some of the furniture is designed to be used and it's hard to tell the difference.

The architecture of the building is amazing as well as the many years of history and the precious pieces of art within its walls. Overwhelmed by the treasures in the building one can step out into the gardens and experience fantastic examples of artful landscape as well as a multitude of plants arranged by gifted horticulturalist.

Esperienza fantastica: Went to see TBone Burnett in the auditorium there. It was a cool hang. Love Philbrook and everyone involved were very helpful that night. Auditorium was smallish, so it was quite intimate. Got to hear him talk and answer some questions for 45 minutes or so, then he took a short break and came out and played some songs with his guitarist. Didn't see much of the museum, but I've been there before and it's very nice.

Esperienza fantastica: Absolutely stunning like nothing I've ever seen before the mansion was extremely beautiful the art detail to the mansion to the front garden. If you never been here before I highly recommend 10 out of 10 I give it. Admission very inexpensive definitely something I will come back to see. Thank you Tulsa for this beautiful piece of art in the heart of downtown. Again I can't suggest enough this is a place you must come see if it be your a resident or just visiting. Don't want to say you came to Tulsa without seeing the philbrook museum

Esperienza fantastica: A must visit place if you happen in Tulsa! Only $17 for adult, and $14 for students. This place is so amazing and well-maintained. I spent the whole day enjoying the garden and having a nice relaxing walk. The weather was so perfect in June. The section I loved the most was the painting from old century, there’re very heartbreaking stories behind those paintings, but also interesting to read and imagine it

Esperienza fantastica: This home turned museum is massive. I could only imagine back in the 1920's living here, like what do you do with 72 rooms. Manicured lawn and amazing gardens with a pond. You could get lost here and wouldn't even care. Have some comfortable shoes because you will want to see all of this place and it requires walking. There are areas that you can sit and rest a bit and a picnic area outside in a shaded area. It was well worth the admission fee for the wealth of knowledge obtained visiting the Philbrook Masion/Museum

Esperienza fantastica: My wife and I spent a good part of one day there, we were able to tour the gardens in the morning and they were fabulous, it was such a beautiful day that we not did not spend a lot of time inside the museum, we are definitely going back!

Esperienza positiva: Garden areas were amazing. Mansion is cool. You need to try to pay attention to all of the ceiling decor when in each area. The art could me a little more diversified for an art museum, but overall a cool place to see some cool stuff.

Esperienza fantastica: I have been meaning to come by Philbrook since last year, but by then it was fall and I wanted to wait to see the spring bloom. Well, Memorial Day 2024 came around and I decided to make the trip. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly delighted by the Italian renaissance design of the museum (prior house). Once inside the art collection is very exquisite and diverse. From modern, to abstract, to Egyptian, to African. Very nice. The real treasure (and biggest reason I went) was to see the gardens outback. I can tell you that I was not let down. The Garden is extensive and immaculately groomed. I was in utter awe at the exquisite beauty…and in Tulsa of all places. I must have spent close to 2 hours enjoying the gardens and botanicals. The Philbrook is a definite must do for anyone that enjoys art and nature. A+

Esperienza fantastica: Best gardens in Tulsa! Great for picnics or a beautiful stroll. Many paths throughout the gardens and including accessible for ADA (stroller and wheelchairs). Option to bring blankets, snacks and drinks or there are picnic tables and chairs throughout the garden. Philbrook also has great evens for kids and adults alike. A must if visiting the area!

Esperienza fantastica: We joyed our trip to the Philbrook last week. When we lived in Tulsa we visited many times a year and attended most of their events. It has been 5 years since we were in Tulsa and many things have changed. Some of the most moving art works were missing or been moved to less prominent locations. Still many of our old favorites could be found tucked away in the corners. I am disappointed that so much controversial art has replaced the classics. The Philbrook board of trusties should visit and make sure this is the way they want the Philbrook to evolve.

Esperienza negativa: Terrible experience with ‘Claire’. Had arranged by phone to take photos outside, and was told that they would have availability, nothing more. When we arrived, we were told we needed a pass, which was not mentioned on the phone. Apparently we called the wrong ‘number’ even though it was the same phone listed on their site. This would be fine if she offered to reserve a later date or help in any way, but instead went silent and refused to help. Perhaps in the future, this will be remedied with better training and management.

Esperienza fantastica: A stunning evening at the Philbrook was made particularly delightful by the swift, smooth, and efficient--not to mention effervescent--care and service of the staff at Elote. Lilly, Zena, and, Abi kept a full Friday line of pleasant patrons flawlessly fed and the line moving seamlessly. It was the work of silent magic and graced by their genuine smiles. It was all done with style, appreciation, and professional vigor. While I tried to ensure to spell their names correctly, I'll apologize for any errors here. The work of this goddess trio was pure perfection and a wonder of the service industry. Thank you, ladies, again for a delightful, artful, and delicious evening. You are seen and appreciated!!

Esperienza fantastica: I’m not an art person, but the atmosphere here is so relaxing both inside and outside. The staff is always welcoming and there’s tons to look at. Definitely try and bring my kids once a year for them to appreciate life outside of their phones.

Esperienza fantastica: I love everything about Philbrook! The art is amazing no matter which area you look at. And the garden and property is absolutely beautiful! We love the different activities they have on the weekends. Like the open art studio and Philbark Dog Days. As well as the different classes and such. We did one where we got to choose flowers from the garden and then they taught us how to place in a vase. We also had our daughter do their summer camp, unfortunately she is to old now, but I highly recommend it as well

Esperienza positiva: Absolutely beautiful, went to see the floral event and it was well curated with many photo ops set up!…Until they told us to stop taking pictures. I’m assuming it was because my aunt had a hand-held camera as opposed to the IPhones everyone else was using to pose and take pictures with. We were informed that ‘any posing photography was considered professional photography’ despite the fact my aunts camera is NOT any sort of professional grade and neither is she, and everyone else was posing the same using their phones in the same places…maybe they thought we were taking professional pictures???

Esperienza fantastica: I love the Philbrook. I always enjoy “Art in Bloom.” My husband Paul and I walked in the gardens seeing all the newly planted Blooms. The exhibit inside was good. It was also nice to see all the ladies in their flower dresses. Such a lovely way to start the day.

We got $1 per person admission for having soonercare/wic/ebt cards. Staff was very kind and friendly. We had a great time. Thank you.

Esperienza fantastica: I always wanted to visit the gardens during the spring and I was able to make it happen this year while there was an art in bloom exhibition going on. Hands down the best exhibition and gardens are truly a slice of Tuscany in Tulsa.

Esperienza fantastica: I marked that I visited on a weekend but we visit throughout the week as well; it depends what is going on. We love going to “Little Garden Explorers” during the warm weather months. And we enjoy the mud kitchen, too. Visiting when Hot Toast is playing! My toddler really digs the music! We have a tradition to visit during Christmas time to see the lights, make s’mores and crafts. I used to come here for the past 20+ years to meditate and find tranquility in the gardens or let my mind wonder and wander in the galleries…now I get to share my love of Philbrook with my son!

In addition to Tulsa's numerous parks and family focused recreation venues is this amazingly beautiful museum bequeathed to the city by a industrial magnate. The art offerings are on par with big city city museums and tastefully presented. From Rembrandt to Monet. Don't miss this opportunity.

Esperienza fantastica: I have brought my family here to visit during the holidays for years! Their light displays are breathtaking! They have cozy little igloos outside, a concession stand, and a ton of places for spectacular photo opportunities. Inside, the art displays are always amazing as well and the entire museum has a welcoming and at the same time, mysterious, feeling to it. Exploring each room is one of my kids favorite parts.

Esperienza fantastica: Late September 2023 - The Philbrook Museum of Art is exceptional. I say this as someone who has seen many of the finest museums. A hidden gem in Southeast America, it's a must see in terms of its unique collection of paintings and artifacts in addition to their broad gardens, lush with exotic plants and water. If I lived here I would go all the time. Visiting Grand Lake many times, residents of the Shangra La resort, Bartlesville and simply driving through the state to get here and there for over a decade, I'm grateful for the return visit to Oklahoma, which over a week's stay brought my companion and I so many nice experiences including the Philbrook Museum.

Esperienza fantastica: The gardens were so beautiful. Very well maintained. The property was actually nicer than the botanical garden. Being October makes it more impressive. Wasn’t overly crowded. Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was super cool, make sure you don’t miss it.

Esperienza fantastica: Free parking. Huge strolling garden. Egyptian artifacts were a highlight for me. Only complaint: My cafe burger was missing half the toppings. The chef brought them out on a separate plate after I said something. lol.

Esperienza fantastica: Enormous property, being your walking shoes. It is best enjoyed with a guided tour. We spend hours wondering around. Left me feeling like I missed something. However, we get to soak up the art, take a picture or 10. The house is lovely, I think the real treat for most is the gardens. The summer house distant have a pool and the cabin is cute. The further back in the property you go the less to see. Still spent about 4-5 hours here.

Nice different style exhibits throughout the building and it was not very busy on a weekend. While I wouldn't consider myself an art expert, nor have been to many art museums, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Esperienza fantastica: Worth the 3-hour drive. They have a fabulous permanent collection. The outdoor garden is wonderful and a nice place for macro photography of flowers and butterflies. The building itself is a former estate. The rooms are grand scale and the architectural elements are fascinating. I appreciate the od to the former glory. The permanent collections are exhibited in quiet spaces w subdued lighting. It's perfect for a solo experience. The temporary exhibit space has a more modern feel. The Transcendental exhibition was excellent. Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera are currently on exhibit. Hurry, closes September 11, 2022.

We did go see the festival of lights, the only problem is we only had an hour to go through the museum, see the lights and do the make-and-take. By the time we got cocoa, we had 30 mins to see everything!

Esperienza fantastica: I love bringing my daughters to their Studio Sundays and other kid friendly programming. I think $60 for an annual membership is a steal!!! We are truly lucky to have such a treasure in Tulsa.

Esperienza fantastica: The Rembrandt to Monet exhibit was fantastic!! Had to take a goofy pic in the "meadow", but otherwise, I was too engaged with the exhibit and art works for photos. This was my first visit to the Philbrook, and I am in love. The building and grounds were absolutely gorgeous! Even my 8 year old said it was a fun experience and he liked the pottery on display.
