Experiência fantástica: I went for the Andy Warhol exhibit in August 2023. It was a lovely exhibit, and the museum has lots of space to set up an exhibit with lots of fun and interactive sections!

Experiência fantástica: I truly enjoyed every moment here of the Andy Warhol exhibit. So many cool areas to explore. Great venue for art, theatre or interactive fun! They really did a great job with it. Especially studio 54 I thought I was walking into a disco party for real.

Experiência fantástica: This museum has excellent exhibits. Easy access by car and has plenty of parking. Docents are very pleasant and helpful. I saw Frida Kahlo exhibit last year, and Andy Warhol exhibit this year. Both were very enjoyable experiences. I recommend it highly.

Experiência fantástica: This is one of the best Andy Warhol exhibitions I’ve ever been to. If you have interest in pop/conceptual/contemporary art, this exhibit is a must. They have excellent material on Warhol’s life and unique art pieces. The exhibition is organized chronologically, so one can learn and see the evolution of Warhol as an artist, while tracking his social influence and impact in the world. Highly recommended. And people at the museum are incredibly kind!

Experiência fantástica: Best place we visited during our weekend in Chicago. The Andy Warhol exhibit was incredible. A lot of great detail and the Museum made wonderful use of all their space. Warhol was a fascinating character that would truly be in his element if he were still alive today in the social media influencer age. The Bank of America Collection of his art on display was fantastic. Great time and favorites included the endangered silkscreens, Club 54 (wish it had a longer video), and the kids stamping area.

Experiência fantástica: The Warhol exhibit was incredibly well done considering I had never heard of this museum before. My usual art museum visits are to the Art Institute of Chicago so the bar was high. I appreciated how the Cleve Carney team provided historical context around who Andy Warhol was, how he developed his talent and the scope of his works. The Studio 54 exhibit was cool for the atmosphere and fashion it displayed from Warhol’s days and the people within his influence there. We totally would recommend this exhibit for those who love Warhol and pop art at its best. The price of admission is a bit steep when compared to let’s say the scope at the Art Institute BUT consider it a donation of worth to the COD community to continue their great work.

Experiência negativa: The Frida Kahlo exhibit is quite a disappointment. It's a very small show with none of her most important work. It was extremely crowded--what was the point of timed tickets? Spent more time and energy trying to get up close to the small paintings and photos than actually being able to see or read anything. Finally gave up and left. Definitely would not recommend paying ~$30 per person for this small, amateur show.

Experiência fantástica: Cleve Carney Museum of Art is a fantastic space for artists to show. Set inside the MAC the space is well balanced with great lighting and floor space. Depending on artist, plan to spend a half to an hour enjoying the installations. Outside the main gallery you can treat yourself to some very special pieces from COD permanent (personal) collections. Miro, Ito, Lewitt and Ledger to name a few. A great space to recharge and sketch.

Covid protocols were observed. The signage leading to the museum was excellent, and parking was ample. I'd go here again.

It was really well curated with supplemental exhibits by local artists to augment our understanding of the physically harsh life Kahlo endured. There were so many wonderful details must museums would have glossed over, but these gave us insight to her perspective of the world. The museum is easy to get to with ample parking. The gift shop was a bit on the expensive side.

Experiência fantástica: We visited the Frieda Kahlo exhibit at the Cleve Carney Museum, being part of the College of DuPage complex. There’s ample free parking available, the exhibit floor is easily accessible and Covid mandates are being followed closely. Not only was the exhibit itself a great experience, but the curation and presentation by the museum made it even better.

Experiência fantástica: Very interesting, very in detail. It was worth the hype of waiting to go to the museum. I also learnt many facts about Frieda that I never knew about her such as her being in the MCP (Mexican Communist Party) twice no less. And that she went through a ton of pain throughout her life. However she got through it is totally up for interpretation and the paintings are detailed, worth it for the art and history.

Experiência fantástica: The Frida Kahlo: Timeless exhibit was amazing! They let us in before our timed ticket to see the other rooms dedicated to featuring the artist's life and work. They had a Frida children's area, outdoor garden space, and Frida quotes everywhere including the bathroom mirror! Seeing her original works from her early years to the year before her death was the highlight but the whole experience was memorable. We will definitely be back for other exhibits and shows.

I suppose the rating would depend on what's showing there, but as far as galleries go, it's easy to get to and there are amenities in the building such as food and drink. I really enjoyed my time there and that's what I expect in a gallery, so- 5 stars!

Experiência fantástica: I came for the Frida Kahlo exhibit and it was AMAZING! The outer exhibit had a lot of interesting educational content with photos of Kahlo and Rivera and a lot of background information (health issues, political, educational and family as well as the progression of her career.) There were replicas of some of her dresses, medical braces, and her bed. Inside the actual gallery were a couple dozen of her sketches and drawings- and photography was allowed! I spent 3 hours here, the guide info says 1.5 is average. I'm a quick reader but I know I missed some of the information because there was SO MUCH. Absolutely fantastic, worth the wait (plus the delay due to covid.) Anyone who loves her work must see this- it is closer and cheaper than the museums in Chicago, but the quality was really top notch. It was lovely to get so close to the paintings too- photographs don't even begin to capture the brush strokes and detail! There were pieces I have seen in print many times, but seeing them up close in person they were even better! I have half a mind to try to go back to pick up what I missed!

The museum itself, and COD grounds, are beautiful and so convenient to get to easily. I highly recommend this exhibit.

Experiência fantástica: My mom and I enjoyed our Frida 2021 visit so much, we drove 1 1/2 hours to get to experience the Frida museum and it was definitely worth it. I want to add that the staff were all so nice and helpful! The parking and entrance were easy to find, thank you for the beautiful experience!

Experiência fantástica: If you are enamored by the life of Frieda, definitely a must visit. You pay roughly a dollar per painting you see. But the expression of self pain through painting is timeless. From the pain of miscarriage to be beingg in bed because of failing health. She was a woman not quite in her time. A strong woman.

It was our first time there because my daughter and i are from Arkansas, she works at Crystal Bridges art museum so her being able to see it really enhitened her love for art and her culture ❤

Experiência fantástica: The Frida Kahlo Timeless exhibition was amazing! You cannot miss it of you are a Frida Kahlo fan. You've probably seen most of Frida's famous paintings but now you get to see never before seen photographs and paintings of Frida Kahloand learn about her life. The exhibition alot bigger than I expected and had much more to show. The museum is very clean and had something for every age. From the drink bar to the children's area and the Frida Kahlo gift shop. Don't forget to check out the outside patio. It all ties together very well from beginning to the end. If you are wondering if you should go, you need to go! It's am amazing experience seeing the real life paintings that she painted! You will not regret attending this superb exhibition!
