Experiência fantástica: A small museum, split up into two sections. One ticket gets you access to both, and it's less than a minutes walk between them. Interesting information on the history and current status of Hemp and Cannabis both as an industrial plant, and as a recreational drug.

Experiência positiva: Kleines Museum in zwei nicht unmittelbar benachbarten, aber nur wenig entfernten Häusern. Audioguides in vielen Sprachen sind vorhanden und auch nötig. Das Personal sprach nur Englisch, nicht mal Niederländisch. Interessante Ausstellung, auch für Nicht-Kiffer, da praktisch alle Aspekte aus Geschichte und Gegenwart des Hanfs beleuchtet werden, die schmuddeligen, die medizinischen wie auch die wirtschaftlichen. Es gibt einen Fotoautomaten, wo man kostenlos Fotos mit verschiedenen Hanf-bezogenen Hintergründen machen kann.

Achtung das Museum besteht aus zwei Locations. Sehr empfehlenswert. STAY STONED!

Die Audiotour des Museums ist zu empfehlen.. aber sie ist an einigen Stellen schon etwas befremdlich.. Ich kann den Besuch des Museums aber trotzdem empfehlen. Auch wenn man sich ein paar Antworten vlt selber noch erarbeiten sollte..

Experiência negativa: i saw the good reviews and wanted to learn something for myself. the museum was a total disappointment!! it’s small (but not crowded i was the only person there lol), really nothing to see there. the audiobook was not presented in an interesting form at all. maybeee just maybe it could be interesting for someone with a literal passion for marihuana leaves. and the ticket price is similar to the prices of museums i really enjoyed.

Experiência negativa: Very surprised by the reviews. Very overpriced considering the 'weed' aspect is mostly just 2 rooms with pics on the walls to look at and some pipes. (I was advised the hemp part of the museum was down the street in another location, didn't bother making the journey to that one after the first. It wAs only me and 3 other people in there, and they also moved through it quickly) The entrance also feels seedy because of it's location and the curtain entrance (presumably the curtain is to avoid potential customers seeing inside and deciding not to bother). I actually stopped outside when I arrived to double check on maps if it was actually the right place as it looks inviting in the lobby, like a raunchy cinema or something. Disappointed. Especially since it's the same price as some much larger and more professional looking museums. More of a tourist trap. Oh and I also went to pay card (they had card machine) but the lady said they prefer cash please. Hmmm ok. Skip this place and spend the cash on a nice gram.. that'd last longer than the half hour you'll waste here

Experiência negativa: While the museum was interesting and reasonably priced, I was lured here with very deceptive advertising: They hand out vouchers across the city for free gifts at the museum shop. The only picture on the voucher is a small marihuana jar. What I actually received was one sticker that i can glue somewhere to advertise the museum...at least they should make it clear that the information on the voucher has nothing to do with what you will get.

Experiência fantástica: One of the best museums I've ever visited and as a museum nerd I've visited quite a few of them. And it wasn't because it has something extraordinary, but because it is made very convenient and enjoyable in a simple way. The highlight was this cool gadget – an audio guide shaped like a phone. At the beginning you pick your language, and it takes you through the museum. The different sections have chips with numbers; you just tap on them and it explains what you're seeing. It's like a personal tour at your own pace – best of both worlds! The staff were also amazing, very chill but at the same time very kind and genuinely happy to help (definitely the best staff from all the places in Amsterdam that I've visited). Aslo the content in the museum was very informative and it made me aware of a lot of things i didn't know about the cannabis plant, especially about hemp. This museum definitely does justice to this precious plant, shifting the narrative from it being a drug for lazy stoned junkies, to its actual value.

Marijuana has a very interesting part of our civilization. Through our needs in the medical fields, quality products, pop culture, and way of life, marijuana has been intertwined into our lives. This little museum will give you a glimpse into that history. Within the red-light district. Takes about an hour.

Experiência fantástica: Sehr interessantes und super informatives Museum. Ich kann mich nicht vorstellen wie viele interessante Faktes über Hemp ist. Mit dem Ticket kann man auch einen Audiobegleiter nehmen, den im verschiedenen Sprachen verfügbar und sehr informativ ist. Es gibt viele Fotos und interessante Dinge und auch eine Hemp Pflanzung im Museum. Bitte nicht vergessen den zweiten Teil des Museums besuchen. Das heißt Hemp Gallery und befindet sich 15m gerade aus des Kanals Richtung Amsterdam Hbf. Dort kann man sehen, was kann man aus dem Hemp herstellen. Das ist unglaublich: von den Angelschnüren und Elektro-Gitarre bis zu den Schuhen. Hier kann man also in der FotoKabine ein lustiges Foto machen und es bei e-mail sich schicken. Und noch ein Ding darf nicht vergessen werden, dass man mit dem Ticket von Hemp Museum eine Tasse des Hemp Tees im Cafe Hempstory absolut gratis bekommen kann. Der Tee und auch der Kaffee im Hempstory sind sehr lecke – ich habe das überprüft! Ich kann diese zwei Orte nur empfehlen.

Es gibt einen Audioguide der im verschiedenen Sprachen vorhanden ist und sehr informativ ist. Mit dem Ticket kommt man ein paar Meter weiter noch in den zweiten Teil des Museums. In dem man einen Einblick bekommt was man alles auf Marihuana herstellen kann. Ich kann das Museum nur empfehlen!

Ik weet niet of ik hier opnieuw zou komen maar voor een éénmalige passage was dit een leuk gebouw.

There is an area with huge plants too, they look weel kept. At the soivenir shop you can buy seeds, and products of marijuana, CBD...

My boyfriend and I got baked beforehand and it felt like a little quest when one of the workers explained that the museum is separated into 2 and you go down the street to enter the next part of the exhibit, and also pop into the cafe next door and get a free drink. Costs about 9,50€ (instore) and 9€, grants access to 2 small museums. It will take about 1ish hour to go through it all if you really take the time to immerse yourself. Overall I like it!

It’s also one ticket for 2 museums so don’t forget about the second museum which includes a lot of the industrial uses for hemp. We need to show respect to this material and so we do by visiting this museum. I am much more wiser now than I was about hemp and the substance.

Experiência positiva: Ok museum, probably a bit too small to justify the $10 ticket, because I went through it in only 15 minutes, then went back through a 2nd time to drag out my visit to 30 minutes by seeing the displays I skipped The audio tour is good and informative. The staff are friendly All the displays seem to be decades or years old, so they really need to add more recent exhibits. They should decrease the size of the gift shop, which doesn’t sell much stuff because of all the competition, to have more room for displays. If they don’t sell many seeds they should eliminate that side business as then they’d have vastly more space for their museum Also they need to tell people on exit there’s a sister museum included in your ticket a few doors down, or most people miss this, which again would help justify the price

Experiência positiva: A nice museum with a lot of interesting information about the marihuana and hemp, the history of its use, and the political developments. You get a little speaker thing as part of the ticket price where you can choose a language and get information about different things relating to weed throughout the museum. A lot of interesting information relating to different aspects. At times, the spoken information was a bit too long and I lost focus, but stopping the audio was always an option. Overall a great museum experience, would definitely recommend going here if you're in Amsterdam.

Experiência fantástica: Very interesting and good guided tour (audio guide in several languages). You get to know the history of hemp production and usage. Additionally different cultural aspects regarding marihuana are explained. This all is rounded up by facing current political situations in Europe and Northern America. This museum is the only place in the Netherlands where full grown hemp plants are shown during growth (with screen protection). Definitely worth a visit.

Experiência fantástica: The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum plus its Gallery are places where you can learn a lot about the Cannabis plant and what kind of history it has. Some facts were pretty surprising to hear. If you're really interested in the Cannabis plant and everything associated with it that's the place to go. The Museum and the Gallery offer a pretty informative audio guided tour. In Addition you only have to pay once and can visit both the Museum and Gallery. They are 50m (165ft) apart.

Experiência positiva: Somewhat interesting. You can see it quick. Entrance is not expensive. And also it is not crowded. Language guide is free and offered in: Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese and Russian. There are two museums included on the ticket. First museum is the marihuana history. Second museum, is a Gallery over Hemp and also its uses and history. Both can be seen quickly and they were not crowded, rather empty. The two museum are on different building, apart by just 40 meters or so. Start with the marihuana one and then go to the hemp one to finish your visit.

It really gave me an appreciation for the benefits of cannabis (especially medicinal) and how it does not deserve the bad reputation it sometimes has. Great history aspects of how past civilizations used cannabis and harvested it. The hemp exhibits are in a separate nearby building from the cannabis exhibits and feature some of the equipment used in harvesting hemp. Spent about 1 1/2 hours at the whole museum.

For a small sized museum there was a lot to see and learn about. Certainly worth the very cheap price of 9€ per ticket ! Defenitly recommand if you are visiting Amsterdam ! Experiência positiva: Extensive information on industrial hemp production and the history of cannabis. Interesting collection of artwork including paintings and photos. The audio guide was useful but boring at times as each episode was quite long and sometimes distracting. I would prefer more of written information rather than trying to listen to the voice recording. I didn't like the fact that there was too much emphasis on why cannabis must be legal. It kinda felt like propaganda. I think the information in a museum should be objective and it shouldn't try to convince me to anything. The museum is not a must see but can be interesting if you are already in the area and don't have anything better to do.

Experiência fantástica: Actually i was surprised with the museum. Its a betaiful collection of pieces related to weed culture and a nice interative way to navegate through the pieces. I recommend this to you if you are new at the weed culture and want to know more about, in a cientifically or sociality way! The museum gives a lot of information about weed. As an experieced smooker, i have to say that i still learn some new things! If you are thinking about use weed, its also nice visit this museum before or even during the trip! I smoked outside just before enter and had thr best experience i could get.
