Experiência negativa: I'm glad I don't own anything here because I'd probably feel that I would have to insure it and I really can't afford it right now. I mean I can afford it but I really wouldn't bother to insure anything here if I owned it because eh, you know, if it got stolen I'd be like "oh, well" shrug. If I had anything from this museum I'd just probably donate it to this museum so in the end nothing really changes. I'm just glad I don't have to go through the hassle of donating anything to this museum, though the tax write off might be useful...or not because the standard deductions just make everything easier and I might have to hire an accountant because of the donation so in the end I'm probably losing money for being such a generous guy. 2 stars because my thoughts about this place made me realize that being a nice guy sucks.

Experiência positiva: Beautiful little museum with exquisite artwork and displays. My favorite was the Leyendecker gallery. Under the Mexican Sky was a bit underwhelming. I was expecting to see actual Mexican artist/photographers with a lot of vibrant colors but it was dull. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. Everyone that works there were very nice and knowledgeable.

Experiência fantástica: The art museum is just about the right size. The history museum is a little small. However, you can get into both for the same very low price, and they complement each other. I have been three times, and I have enjoyed the traveling exhibits each time.

Certain displays change depending on the time of year. Outside is a small pond and a playground. Fun place to check out.

We strolled and took our time in each exhibit, taking in history and seriously magnificent works of art. The Haggin is a hidden gem not to be missed! Experiência fantástica: Very well done! It’s been some years since we last visited this museum & the improvements are quite impressive. The bright open interior accentuates the high ceilings, wood panel flooring, decorative moulding. The Fine Arts are beautifully showcased, telling an elegant story. The Historical Collection amazingly preserved. The Sci Fi Collection an amusing addition. Bonus: We went on “Free Saturday”, which happens once monthly.

Experiência positiva: No spoilers but there is a freaky trunk on the basement with a macabre story… Don't judge the museum by the outside, there is no parking lot, its surrounded by a park where many ppl go, but when I stepped in, it felt like a complete different World. A contrast of local history and old tractors with beautiful paintings and sculptures from late 1800. Downstairs the rooms you look in through a window are so incredibly well put together and your mind travels back in time for a bit. As well as amazing Native American art…Highly recommend a visit, park on the streets and walk through the park to the front door. Its great, Im telling you.

Experiência fantástica: This place is fantastic. The docents are knowledgeable, the art is amazing, and the historical educational opportunity is rich and vivid. What a great place for an outing with your child (or groups of kids). Just make sure you're not in a hurry. Give yourself (and them) PLENTY of time to really explore the areas they find most interesting.

Stockton pode orgulhar-se deste museu. A minha única queixa é a falta de estacionamento para deficientes. Havia um lugar na zona de estacionamento dos funcionários. Mas também havia muitos sinais que diziam "só para funcionários". A sinalética era confusa. Fomos em frente e estacionámos no lugar assinalado e, depois, quando pedimos para entrar e um funcionário veio abrir a porta, confirmámos que não havia problema em estacionarmos ali. Só porque estamos familiarizados com este museu é que sabíamos que devíamos tentar estacionar naquela zona. Sem isso, eu não teria podido estar lá para apreciar as exposições. Por favor, corrijam esta falha e certifiquem-se de que cumprem a lei a este respeito.

Experiência fantástica: This is a must visit if you want to see the history of Stockton. From paintings to vintage photographs to Native Americans history. Super cheap and it will take a good amount of time to see all three levels. Check it out

Experiência fantástica: Great way to spend some time in Stockton. My favorite section is the American artists gallery, truly some exceptional pieces on display.

Experiência negativa: I came to the museum with my family using my family membership, and it was terrible. We came as a multiracial family of 4 adults and 3 children and were asked if we all relatedand lived in the same house. This was extremely humiliating and demeaning. We will never visit this establishment again and I caution other mixed families to be aware of this as well.

Experiência positiva: The native American collection is impressive. There is a great display of WWl and WWII posters. Very interesting and informative. Also a Picasso loan from Bank of America. La Tauromaquia is a series of 26 aquatic etchings. There is a renovation so you don't have access to the main 3rd floor gallery but they offer a $5.00 admission during the renovation. Visited March 17, 2022 and enjoyed the Children's exhibit... From kindergarten to highschool, so much color and talent Enjoy the museum store.

Há também outras obras de arte fantásticas. Eu classifico este museu de arte bem acima do museu de arte de San Diego. O pessoal é muito simpático. O único aspeto negativo é que todo o estacionamento no local é reservado apenas para autorizações. Todo o estacionamento para visitantes é na rua, quase como se eles não esperassem que as pessoas o visitassem. No entanto, vale bem a pena a caminhada uma vez lá dentro.

Se gosta de arte e de exposições de artefactos vintage locais, este museu contém algumas informações que poderá achar suficientemente interessantes para visitar. Desde a agricultura ao porto de Stocktons, passando por uma exposição de nativos americanos. Até têm uma loja de recordações no final, se estiver à procura de uma lembrança ou recordação para levar para casa. Elevadores para pessoas com deficiência e escadas robustas para quem quiser dar um passo extra. Casas de banho no interior e no parque que rodeia a área. Por vezes, há lojas que vendem snacks e bebidas. Um lugar pequeno mas fascinante para relaxar e deixar a sua mente explorar a criatividade e o amor de pessoas apaixonadas.

Leyendecker, who actually painted MORE Saturday Evening Post covers than did Rockwell! Leyendecker gave us the New Year' s Eve baby, the concept of giving flowers on Mother's Day, and the handsome Arrow Collar Man! Leyendecker's style is wonderful, and the Haggin probably has the second largest collection in the world of this work, behind only the National Museum of American Illustration, in Newport, Rhode Island. Be sure to catch this American Master!

Experiência fantástica: This is one of my favorite parks, not only can you see the wildlife, flowers, and ponds, they have an amazing play are for the children and of course the museum! Also this park is a bit more safe with all the traffic than some of the other secluded parks in Stockton. We all need to stick together and help others in the time of need as well... even if thats just picking up your phone and dialing 911, every life matters! Please remember that. Stay strong we will get through all obstacles if we all work together as one!

One of our little adventures was to go to the Haggen Museum on N. Pickering at Victory Park. I found it to be a great local find & enjoyed it as much as my granddaughter did. From the park itself to the Rose Garden and all 3 floors of art & history including local historical displays & current artists works, I can't wait to go again.

Experiência positiva: Have you heard of "The Haggin Museum in Stockton" on the radio? Well this is it! It is a small museum of history and art. It's a fun place to bring kids (inside the museum and outside in Victoria's Park when the weather is nice). Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for kids and students with valid IDs. Double-check the visiting hours before you go (it's only open Thursday through Sunday, 1:30PM during the week and 12PM during the weekend)
