Experiência fantástica: My grandsons, aged 15 to 5, and I visited. We all were engaged and enjoyed our time at the Wheels Museum. Besides the many trains there are cars and planes and many historic items. There is also a train ride for the young, and young at heart! We plan to return. The volunteers were knowledgeable and very friendly. My husband was out of town but is looking forward to visiting soon.

Experiência positiva: At the Wheels Museum In Albuquerque, we explore its captivating past and discover its significant role in railroad history. The museum boasts intriguing displays of vintage cars and various mementos from bygone eras. A notable highlight is Saul Goodman's old and battered Subaru Esteam, complete with bullet holes and a dented roof, so cool to see the actual car used in the making of “Better Call Saul series”. However, the true treasures of this museum are its knowledgeable staff who possess an encyclopedic knowledge of Albuquerque's past, making every visit an enriching and educational experience.

Experiência fantástica: I visited the Wheels Museum with two friends this morning, it was the first time visiting there for we three. It's a very colorful and delightful experience. Put aside your preconceived ideas of what you think it is and visit this place to step back in time and see how the real (Wheel) world was for the first half of the 20th century. They even have a train ride for adults and children that is great fun! We had the good fortune to meet the president of The Wheels Museum, Leba Freed as we were leaving. She is an inspiration and the human dynamo behind the herculean task of creating from scratch a transportation history hub that will lead to a Renaissance of downtown and the rail yards. The Steam Locomotive ATSF 2926 will eventually call this area home, once again. So grab granny and the kids and head on down to the Wheels Museum and be part of the Albuquerque experience.
Experiência fantástica: Fun experience for adults and children. So much to look at, and the volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable about the history. Ride the small train! Free admission.
Experiência fantástica: Lots of hands on stuff for kids to enjoy and a really interesting assortment of displays. The people there were very nice and interesting. Great place to visit!

Experiência fantástica: YOU NEED TO GO THERE! The Wheels Museum was an amazing surprise! I went there because my godson was visiting and he is into trains a lot and I expected to just go through, look at trains and leave. I could not have been more wrong! The volunteers are excited to show their projects and explain how everything works, which made it so much fun for us! The kids got to ride in a train, answered questions and won prizes. We got to pet a beautiful volunteer dog and in the end we stayed there much longer than expected because every volunteer had an interesting story to tell about the things that were on display in the museum. Thank you to all the volunteer for this amazing expereience!

My wife was never even interested in trains but the information they provided made it a great learning experience that made it a great experience for her as well. Experiência fantástica: There's a lot of things to see and learn about! Free admission so its a great place to come back to. Moderate size place with cars, trains, and airplanes. There's a toy train that adults and kids can ride. Staff were friendly and was kind enough to show all the remote control cars and also give our boy a free matchbox!! My little one loves trains and had a really hard time leaving since he wanted to watch the trains go. It's a bit hot now but they have fans inside so it's not too bad. Wish there were more things to buy at the souvenir shop so we could show more support that way.
Experiência fantástica: They do a awesome job with the limited space. Little bit of everything for everyone. Free, but please leave a donation.
Experiência negativa: Horrible experience for myself and 6 year old son with autism. My son was verbally abused by a staff member. Staff member stated “I blew air in your face for being a bad boy. Then proceed to say if you continue to be a bad boy I will blow air into your face again. Then intentionally blew loud horn. Told my son that if he touched the locomotive it would cut his hands off.” This was supposed to have been a pleasant learning experience/environment for the group of children I was meeting there whom have autism as well. Hands down horrible experience. We will not be returning. And get this the director of Infinite Learning was told that there would be no issues with this group of autistic children touching etc. #wrongautismmom #wrongautisticchild

Experiência fantástica: Planes trains and automobiles
Experiência fantástica: The wheel museum was very interesting. We did have someone to talk about the Albuquerque rail Yard before we took a tour around the museum. They showed a 30 minute show about the Albuquerque rail Yard and the wheels museum. They do have a train ride for the kids and some adults. They have toy trains tracks that you could watch. Basically it was pretty interesting going through this little museum about the rail yard. I had lots of fun with the group that I was with.
Experiência fantástica: Love the museum and the very friendly volunteers that run the place.
Experiência fantástica: The Wheels Museum is volunteer run and was such a treat! We visited a bunch museums and this sort of unofficial museum was, hands down, our favorite. The door was locked when we arrived (I think by accident) but they hurried to let us in when I called and welcomed us warmly. They let my 6yo run the little train we all rode on. Another volunteer gave him a little matchbox car to keep. There were tons of all sorts of antiques on wheels, and some not on wheels. I was amazed by the collection and the enthusiasm and knowledge of the volunteers. Don’t forget to stuff cash in their donation box. They truly deserve it.
Experiência fantástica: A great experience for the whole family! A spectacular place of pure nostalgia. Everything wheels and some things that fly . Soon you will see my artwork in this museum. Make the time to see it you won't regret.

If you're into anything wheel related and enjoy being around others who are passionate and willing to take time to show you around, then make the trip. There is no charge, but support people who make an effort to support our city and drop a donation or at least a good review!
