I didn’t find that out until I called (it went straight to voicemail) and eventually got a text from whom I assume once owned the location saying that they’ve closed.

Experiência fantástica: Such a great time! Went around 2pm on a Sunday and we had the whole place to ourselves. We were first timers and Christian did such an amazing job explaining everything to us and also provided info on birthday party options as well as info on the escape rooms. Christian also checked on us throughout our time upstairs and even helped us get some great angles! The place itself was a bit smaller than expected but there was a wide variety of different backdrops in that small space. Overall, great place to spend an afternoon, cant beat the price and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back soon! :)

Experiência positiva: My friend and I love to take photos. We went to many locations for that specific purpose and this time we decided to try the Selfie Museum in Austin. We went at 12:20 pm on Saturday, there was nobody there, I don’t know if it’s just our luck or the museum is not that popular. All in all, some locations were cool, the light and selfie posts were everywhere. That’s a huge plus. Now for the cons: - very few locations, mostly unimaginative - tiny rooms where walls get into focus doesn’t make for a good photo - the light on many places hits the face directly from the top and adds a bad glow (shiny foreheads all day) - we were told that there was a time limit (1h), though we were not kicked out when exceeding that limit, maybe because the place was empty. I went to the selfie museum in Houston (TFTI) and I’d say that was a better experience: big rooms, great variety of installations, there was helpful staff that can give hints how to pose or can take a picture of you if you need, no time limit. Conclusion: not really worth visiting.

Experiência negativa: The museum seemed fun at first until one of their selfie ring lights dropped one of my group member's phone. It was a malfunctioned piece of equipment and the attendant didn't know how to handle the situation and couldn't even get in contact with his own manager. Our information was taken and we never got a call to fix or replace the phone. If you're planning to go I definitely wouldn't trust their gear, if you do best of luck. How can you run an establishment that you don't take responsibility for?

Experiência positiva: The name speaks for itself! Adorable and very instagram worthy spots to take tons of pics! Some of the ring lights need replacement grips for the phone holders. The facility itself is clean. We went on a Sunday at 5pm, honestly great time to go, low traffic and no rushing to take our pics.

Experiência positiva: Was super fun They pretty much let u do your thing which is cool The only negative was there was an escape room going on and a room wasn’t accesible very well and the ring lights with phone holders were used and couldn’t keep a phone or light in place But it was very fun and be creative $25 an hour

Experiência fantástica: My daughter talked me into taking her here during a girls weekend in Austin. I had no idea what I was in for. I purchased the tickets online through their website and added a glass of champagne to my order. What I thought would be a couple cute photos of my daughter turned into an hour long photography session with lots of laughs and great memories. We were warmly greeted at the entrance, I was handed my Bellini and my daughter even got a free soda. He gave us a quick tour and pointers and we were left to our own devices. The entire place to ourself. There were so many rooms! Such well crafted and artful areas and well staged scenes including props and seating. Selfie light rings and phone holders everywhere! The hour flew by. My daughter is 10 and this was the first time I got a moment to teach her about setting up and framing a shot, using filters and adjusting for lighting after the picture. We had a great time!

Experiência fantástica: Fun outing. Cute photo opportunities. They even have a little bar area with drinks - soda, water, and wine. Only one person on duty, but he was very friendly and helpful. We spent about 30 minutes there. I would make sure to have other things on your schedule if you are trying to fill up your day.

Ive visited the museum during my trip to Austin and had a blast! Rita at the front desk was adorable and very helpful. The space is spotless and has so many different photo opportunities. Highly highly recommend visiting! Worth every penny! And get their champagne is delicious

Experiência fantástica: This is an incredible place to spend part of your day. The selfie opportunities are wild! Many furry walls with creative items on them. A wall of hearts. A washing machine! Yes--a washing machine! But not a standard white rundown one--it has beautiful colors and backdrop. My favorite selfies were in front of the different wings and in the banana room on the swing (yes, you can sit on a swing!!). Bring different things to wear if you want to maximize the selfie photos. And be ready to be creative! The museum keeps numbers down (I think it's a certain number per hour??) so you won't be in lines for 20 minutes to take a couple of photos in one backdrop.  So that's a great plus.

Experiência fantástica: SOOOO MUCH FUN is the Texas Selfie Museum!! They have about 30 (or more!) fun and dazzling vignettes for photos, and mobile lighting with holders for your camera. We walked around the place for about an hour and came home with the most fun pictures ever!! Would be lots of fun for a birthday party, reunion, or bridal shower. Loved it!!

The staff was amazing and helped out with all the questions we had and offered recommendations for different poses in the installations. We took so many great pictures and the staff even offered to take a picture of our entire group. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. Thanks for incredible time!

Experiência fantástica: Whenever I visit Austin, I try to find at least one new thing to do that I haven't done yet. This time, it was visiting the Texas Selfie Museum! If you love taking photos and showing them off on social media, this is the place for you. Lots of pretty and unique photo installations ready for you. There are plenty of ring lights so you don't have to worry about not having enough light. (The only installation that is dark, on purpose, is the tiny mirror room with the white orbs.) This place has 2 floors so don't forget to go up the stairs! Both floors have restrooms so you can make sure to wash your hands after using the props! I wish they had more hand sanitizer stations but washing your hands with soap is better anyways. They also have some Selfie Museum merch if you want to purchase any after your photo-taking.

Experiência fantástica: The Selfie Museum is definitely an experience that I would love to have again! The staff were amazing and so helpful; there are even changing rooms and bathrooms in case you have multiple outfits to change into. There are 2 floors and every corner is a new opportunity for a photo, and each one very unique…the possibilities are endless. There are tons of ring lights with phone holders to help get the perfect lighting and angle. We had so much fun taking photos of each other, getting into the moment, and playing with the props, that our hour seemed like only minutes. I definitely recommend the selfie museum for anyone that loves creating memories!

Experiência fantástica: So much fun!!! I was there for the grand opening and I have also visited their San Antonio location. The space itself is a beautiful historic building and they kept the original vibe while added sooo many photo booths and props! It took us about one hour to explore both floors and I believe there was at least 30 different places to take pictures at! My absolute favorites are infinite mirrors, holographic booth and the neon room! The first floor was more like stand alone installations and sets while the second floor was full of separate rooms, corners, booths and corners. The staff was awesome and just as last time they helped taking pictures and navigated us through the space. Tons of fun!!!

Experiência fantástica: Omg! This place is totally one of a kind. It’s not just photo zones, it’s a whole experience. There are TWO levels with endless opportunities for amazing pictures. The building is historic and is very unique and the modern installations compliment it greatly. Such variety, quality and design are all top notch! I’m certainly coming back soon!

Experiência fantástica: My husband and I took our two teenaged daughters to the Texas Selfie Museum. The staff were so polite and helpful throughout our visit. We loved how different each of the backdrops were. By the end, my husband and I had just as much fun as our daughters. If you are looking for something interesting and different, this is the place for you.
