A entrada é gratuita e muitos visitantes elogiam o design bem planejado e a amabilidade do pessoal.

Experiência positiva: Could remove replicas ... real ones are the one anyone wants to see.
Experiência fantástica: Really interesting and well laid out
Experiência fantástica: No cost to enter and many educational exhibits. Most are replicas with the originals located on other international museums but worth a visit to see
Experiência fantástica: This is a small but very lovable museum, I went there for the Egyptian collection it is only one room but still worth the visit for me
Experiência negativa: Too many replicas. I wanted to see the originals, which have a greater emotional impact.
Experiência fantástica: This museum was formally called the Semitic museum. It still focuses primarily on the fertile crescent. It focuses the ancient peoples ( therefore the term Semitic) who populated land today in Lebanon, Israel, Palestinian territories, and the relevant interactions with Egypt. It’s a compact well designed teaching museum and has been a gem in the area. in keeping with this tradition as a Semitic museum, it is closed on Saturdays
Experiência positiva: Tucked away among the other Harvard museums is this little gem! It's free to enter and has three floors of exhibits on different areas. The ground floor starts with the Mediterranean, the next floor is predominantly Egyptian, and the top floor is Mesopotamia. The staff were all really friendly and happy to answer any questions! The museum is quite small and goes well together with a visit to the Peabody in terms of its collection (it felt a little like an annexe to me). While small, it has some really interesting items ranging from glass slides from an old expedition to receipts for artefact purchases! The room design complements the displays really well too- the Mesopotamian room in particular is very beautiful. There are restrooms and a tiny gift shop (cash/check only!).
Experiência fantástica: Small exhibits, but it was free.
Experiência positiva: Free museum. Fairly small but has some cool pieces centered around the Assyrians and Egyptians
Experiência fantástica: Very small museum (definitely less than 1 hour). Most of the things on display are replicas or casts of originals. Staff was friendly; can't complain. Wouldn't say this is a "must-see" if you're only in Boston for a week or weekend - the Boston MFA has a lot more. Took my daughter here and she got kind of impatient since there wasn't much to look at it. Just wish there was more on display!
Experiência positiva: This is a nice museum to visit, quite small and don't let the name of the museum confuse you it does indeed mean near-east. So if you're looking for any middle eastern history or history of islamic empires etc. You won't find it here. This is mostly centered around Egyptian history and is really cool with their replicas of hieroglyphs. I'd love to see them add in some middle eastern history just for fun in a small section as the middle east and near eastern history can be tightly intertwined at different points in antiquity
Me encanto
Experiência fantástica: Quite educational and well presented
Experiência positiva: We just happened to come during the Amazing Archaeology Fair.
Experiência fantástica: Tiny but informative. Worth the time
Experiência fantástica: Family Friendly and worth the time.
Experiência fantástica: Something new I haven't seen before. A lot of interesting things. But to many fakes
Experiência fantástica: This place is really iconic actually!
Experiência fantástica: I loved it. The various stela were cool, as was the model ancient near Eastern house.
Experiência fantástica: Lovely exhibits and a comfy vibe. A tourist called me a slur next to a sarcophagus. The dosents and staff were all incredibly kind and I got a cool shirt!
Experiência fantástica: Small and cozy museum, free to enter. You can expect to finish all the exhibits under an hour if not less. Top floor ceiling is gorgeous.
Experiência fantástica: A marvelous walk through three floors and the history of the Ancient Near East. The life size home from ancient Israel made quite an impression on the Bible readers in our group. I particularly liked the display of the clay storage containers that were brought up from an ancient ship wreck and how they were explained. We spent two hours here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Experiência fantástica: Great collection. Love this museum.
Experiência positiva: Honestly, it was disappointing. There's not much on display and they've mixed eras without any explanation. For example, they designate the second floor as objects from Egypt yet they have Sumerian cuneiform tablets on display.
Experiência fantástica: Want to go again
Experiência positiva: It's small but free. The top floor is the best. They are replicas but well-made.
Experiência fantástica: A modest but interesting museum. Good facilities and elevator, and I look forward to future exploratory exhibitions.
Experiência positiva: Fairly small museum. The first floor with recreation home was the most interesting part for me. I wish the other floors had more timelines and maps to better place the artifacts they were displaying.
Experiência positiva: Small but carefully curated museum that provides you with a glance into key elements of Near Eastern cultures. The museum also makes great use of digital tools (e.g., an audio tour you can access with your phone, or an augmented reality app). There are a few stairs but an elevator ensures everyone will be able to visit. It is a good stand-alone visit, but, if you're short on time, I'd suggest complementing it with a visit to Harvard's natural history and Peabody's museums next door. Not crowded on Sunday. Friendly staff. There's also a place to leave your coat while visiting.
Experiência fantástica: Very informative
Experiência fantástica: Cool
Experiência fantástica: Tiene algunos escenarios gratuitos, otros pagos
Experiência fantástica: An interesting look at ancient history
Experiência positiva:
Experiência positiva: Interesting displays showing why duplication of artifacts is necessary & how they are done.
Experiência positiva: Small but nice collection of Egyptian , Mesopotamia and ancient Israel . Diagonally opp the Peabody museum of archaeology. Entry is free.
Experiência fantástica: Beautiful exhibits
Experiência fantástica: A fascinating and free museum in a nice building with interesting exhibits yet few people. I easily could have spent more time there, but at least the time I had there was very well worth it.
Experiência fantástica: Small place with rich history. Free entry for everyone. Great location to visit.
Experiência fantástica: Must see if you are in Boston.
Experiência fantástica: A well laid out museum of semitic antiquities and reproductions.
Experiência fantástica: For a small museum it packs a lot of great content in an easy to consume layout. My son and I really enjoyed the housing recreation model to get a sense of what it was like during that age. My son is currently studying ancient civilization and we will be returning to learn even more.
Experiência fantástica: Really cool exhibits.
Experiência fantástica: Nice small museum. The Assyrian reliefs on the third floor are really cool.
Experiência fantástica: Fica em Cambridge Massachusetts estados unidos
Experiência fantástica: Very interesting museum and it's free
Experiência fantástica: Is small but with good exhibitions
Experiência fantástica: Had a great time!
Experiência positiva: Muy interesante !!
Experiência positiva: Nothing much to see, really
Experiência positiva: Quite lacking in content but it's free.
Experiência positiva: Should not be missed by who digs this subject matter
Experiência negativa: Really not much there, it's not worth going out of your way for it. The Museum of Fine Art is spectacular, this was small. Skip it
Experiência fantástica: Nice small museum. The Assyrian reliefs on the third floor are really cool.
Experiência positiva: I think the highlight of this small museum is the recreation of a very early, two story Israeli home made of mud bricks. The surrounding displays place the home in the context of time period. One floor seems to have many displays that gloat over the amount of middle eastern artifacts that the department discovered with a team from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. There are also a lot of casting reproductions of middle eastern sculptures. No charge (unusual for Harvard) and worth an hour or so.
Experiência positiva: Great place, very interesting Egyptian and Mesopotamian collections, plus augmented reality
Experiência fantástica: Small place with rich history. Free entry for everyone. Great location to visit.
Experiência positiva: Mostly plaster casts but the archeologist diaries are a real kick, and an interesting spout on the water pitcher on the second floor. Probably not good food kids but free!
Experiência fantástica: Helpful student at the front desk. Great gallery. Very quiet. Can't ask more from a museum.
Experiência fantástica: Great experience, learned a lot
Experiência fantástica: Beautiful artifacts, fascinating descriptions, and intuitive layout
Experiência fantástica:
Experiência fantástica: Wat een leuk Minimuseum!
Experiência fantástica: Great museum
Experiência fantástica: Lots to uncover, go slow
Experiência fantástica: Great little collection. Love it.
Experiência fantástica:
Experiência fantástica: I love this place. This is my favorite place is the world cause my girlfriend is Jewish.
Experiência fantástica: Definitely worth the trip! This Harvard museum offers free admission and a multilevel look back in time at the Middle East. Exhibits focus on Israel, Egypt and Mesopotamia. The museum is a short walk away from the MBTA Red Line stop at Harvard Square and is near several bus routes. There are elevators for those who don’t like stairs. The bottom floor has a cutaway exhibit of a house from Ancient Israel
Experiência fantástica: Current exhibit features casts of royal monuments from Mesopotamia. Very informative. Free.
Experiência positiva: Lindo, interesante
Experiência positiva:
Experiência positiva: Small but very nice place
Experiência positiva: Small but informative. Too much about the exhibiters and not enough about the exhibits.
Experiência positiva: Small focused museum. Good thing it's free since it's pretty small but it's informative. Just don't expect anything crazy. I guess the 3 mummy coffins are pretty cool though
Experiência positiva: 3 floors, mostly Egyptian art.
Experiência fantástica: It's a museum inside Harvard campus. Not a very big museum, but is good if you want to know more about semitic history etc. Three floors, each has its own focus.
Experiência fantástica: What a jewel in the rough. You can see how the ancient semites lived and their storied history.
Experiência fantástica: A fascinating look into the past, with exhibits for adults and children alike. Definitely worth trying to navigate around campus to find.
