Vamos voltar.

Experiência negativa: It could use a lot of work. Some of the exhibits are cool like the aquarium section. But sadly it was recently downsized for some reason. But over half of the interactive exhibits on the 2nd floor dont work. The paper towel dispenser didnt work. Leaving, the MAIN ENTRANCE ONTO TRYON the handicap button didnt work. Air chair didnt work. Just about everything we tried to play with didnt work. Could use some improvements for sure. Wont be back for a while.

Experiência fantástica: Very, very cool exhibits you can find there!! I once took a tour around the place and found quite a lot more than I expected. Even though I didn't got to go to that one exhibit where you can put your hands into an aquarium and get some fish? (Or turtles idek-) But it was very interesting and fun! ☺️ You should get your kids to go here to see it!!

Experiência positiva: Mgmt needs to fix basics. Came in from pkg deck 3 and did not know where to pay as it had member sign but not ticket sign so it looked like members only. We walked around for an hour and did not pay until i found a tix booth at another entrance. Love love Imax. No items left in gift shop for sale at 2:30 which means lost sales. Almost got ripped off on parking fee at 30 but asked staff if i could get discount and they told me to pay inside at 14 flat rate. There needs to be better customer service for value of visit so we can afford to come back. I'm afraid that alot of people enjoyed your museum for free since no one is paying attention.

Experiência positiva: It's amazing. My only concern is that in the children's area (2nd floor), it had various things (activities or attractions, whoever you would like to call them) that were not working. Someone should take a look at those things and fix them. Families go to these places to enjoy everything, and it is frustrating to pay, and then there are some activities that do not work at all.

Experiência fantástica: The Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibit was great.

Experiência positiva: I was not thrilled with the museum - not much for adults to do here, and most exhibits don’t have much to read about what you’re looking at. Basically nothing to learn/read off about the aquarium section or the indoor jungle. Half of the exhibits were broken in one way or another. I do not think the price is justified for what you get. My wife and I maybe spent an hour to 2 hours here. The IMAX dome theater attached was very cool - I do recommend seeing a movie or one of their short imax films there. It’s a great experience.

Experiência positiva: Pros- Great place- engaging for kids 3-12ish. Lots to do worth the money of the kids can hang for 3+ hours. Cons- First I really hope Discovery Place reads this. Parking- DO NOT park at their facility. I was never given a voucher or saw a single sign about the voucher I would receive for cheaper parking at the DP- I ended up paying $30 to park there. Across the street it was $10. Food/Water- not sure why this isn’t included in the FAQs- you can bring food and water bottles to refill.

Experiência fantástica: Shoutout to Christine! She was so amazing with our boys! She was engaged walking from table to table to make sure the kids had the help when needed. We followed her to the Strawberry DNA extraction experiment. They absolutely loved it! We have been members since my son was 4. Thank you for a great experience!

Experiência fantástica: As a homeschooling family with 4 children, this is one of our favorite places to visit! We recently experienced the newest exhibit, the Dinosaurs. It was incredible. I was blown away by the interactive media that enabled true interaction with the dinosaurs. There were even fossils that children could touch (something you’d never find in a regular museum). This dinosaur exhibit beats any other on the East coast that we have experienced! Overall, this museum is very well kept. Nothing is broken. I’m very impressed every time we step foot in this museum!

Experiência fantástica: We came here on Friday after 4th of July while on vacation in Charlotte. The facility is very large, on 3 levels, and there are TONS of interactive things to do on every level. Everyone in our group (ages 5-65) had a great time and learned cool stuff about nature, animals, the human body, and space. This is not a boring museum, everything is hands on and creative. We even saw a movie in the IMAX Theater (Despicable Me 4). Not sure why we paid an extra $21 for the movie because we walked right into the theater - no one was monitoring the door or checking tickets. Excellent place to spend 3 hours with family.

Experiência fantástica: Had allot of fun the kids had a blast I would say going up to the top of the parking deck and just walking across the pathway instead of crossing the street is easier for large groups. Definitely will a stroller for infants.

Experiência negativa: Went to the speakeasy event and it was a disaster. It was an incoherent orchestration of standard discovery place mixed with long lines for drinks. There was nothing speakeasy about it. I highly discourag anyone from going to future enents unless you like waiting in long lines to find out you need to buy tickets to get a drink only to get back in the 30 minute line to be greeted by an annoyed bartender. Huge disappointment.

Malinda Diffenbaugh 3 months ago

Experiência negativa: What a rip off. Nothing showing price of tickets where you enter. Cost $100 for 4 of us including a 2 year old. Receptionists offers no info what so ever would rather be on her phone . It’s more for older than younger kids. Some of the activities you’re paying $100 for are, glorified jenga and felt animal shapes. Has a Small “rainforest “. I want a refund ! Lame!!!!

Bex McD 3 months ago

Experiência negativa: We took our young kids here on a Sunday. A lot of the items were broken or disorganized despite it having just opened. The staff seemed disengaged. For the price I would do pretty much anything else especially with young kids. Maybe with a ten year old you might get more put of it but be prepared to do all your own explanations.

Emilie Hoffman 3 months ago

Experiência negativa: Went today with the kids. They had a good time except for walking into the gift shop at 4:02 pm, as the sign displayed open at the entrance, and abruptly being yelled at by the woman behind the counter WERE CLOSED. Awful way to end the day. I wished she had just said I'm sorry we closed at 4... really anything other than yelling at me and my 4 year old.

Michelle Silva 3 months ago

Experiência positiva: While I love Discovery Place as a whole, and we have been before years ago to Science in the Rocks and had a spectacular time, the Speakeasy event (6/15) left much to be desired. The lines for drinks were all too long, the purchasing of drink tickets was a mess, and the VIP option was limited to say the least. Before at Science on the Rocks we were intrigued by the museum’s regular exhibits as well as fun demonstrations and exhibits geared toward the theme of the night. The Speakeasy seemed much more of an opportunity to sell drinks than anything else. With a Roaring 20’s event, one would expect more prohibition-era and Jazz age style luxury and excitement- music, performers, and science of alcohol! There was little to do. A few demos were lacking, one exhibit seemed like a quiz tournament, and many were crowded or understaffed. The band was tucked away in a corner and seemed an afterthought. Music that played through the museum was current and not historical. Each of the scheduled events repeated themselves and there were few demonstrations. All in all, a disappointment based on what we have seen at Discovery Place before.

Experiência positiva: So i went here on a field trip .. and surprisingly the place was really nice ! they had a lot of hands on things to do and they had a lot of cool animals and they made stuff look so realistic i want to go again but i recommend that you guys keep the aquarium tanks clean .. still a nice place though they always have 3 floors , a gift shop , and a food court . they also have a lot of things you can learn from which is mostly sciencey if you get me ! .

Experiência positiva: We have visited on many occasions and enjoy it every time. Wouldn’t mind a couple new exhibits.

Shaun C 4 months ago

Experiência negativa: This place is super expensive and not much at all for kids of any age. Not even a climbing or play area for kids. Not only do you have to pay for parking, the exuberant price for admission did not make it worth it. There are better children’s museums all across the state with better prices. I was worried our 2 year old was not going to get enough energy out or have a good time. We stayed around for show and meeting a corn snake, but you could just drive up to NC zoo for more animals or another town for more children’s museum experience. Basically seems like a small museum wrapped around the primary attraction of the IMAX theater. I know you’re in the city center but this was ridiculous.

Carson Mays 4 months ago

Experiência positiva: We are members at the Huntersville location and so I was really looking forward to checking this one out now that my son is a little older. But unfortunately, I just did not feel it was at all a good value for what it was, especially with a preschooler. For the price, they weren’t that many exhibits he could get into and after parking, admission, and lunch… we were looking at a hefty bill. I probably will not return anytime soon.

David McCoul 4 months ago

Experiência positiva: I love visiting science centers, but I felt this one was lacking, especially for the price tag. $30 for an adult, plus $14 for parking. The Greensboro and Durham science centers were wayy better with included outdoor areas and zoos, for only $20 per adult and free parking. The Discovery Place felt primarily geared toward little kids and was a little boring for me. The interactive parts of the dog exhibit didn't work, and some of the fact trivia cards were printed incorrectly. That said, the floor 2 body exhibit was really neat seeing the plasticized cadavers and organs and how much blood, water, and other elements are in a person, though I felt it was a little confusing since the percentages didn't add up to 100% (although I think it was because there was overlap). I also enjoyed seeing the spotted turtles and jellyfish up close. The colorful saltwater fish were also enjoyable to see. I enjoyed my visit but may not be back for some time.

McKenzie Riggins 4 months ago

Experiência positiva: Science on the rocks was pretty fun! A bunch of space to walk through and plenty of exhibits! My favorite was the starfish & jellyfish tanks!! Getting drunk tickets then having to stand in another line to get drinks wasnt the ideal setup, also wish there has been a bar on each floor. Overall a positive experience! It was very clean & we had fun!

Katie Middleton 4 months ago

Experiência fantástica: This was such a fun day trip! There were three floors full of interactive exhibits. We were there for hours and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cafe food was really great and the entire museum was clean and well staffed.

Kristi Paschall 4 months ago

Experiência positiva: This place has so much potential. Half of the interactive attractions were broken or missing parts. There were so many creativity based centers, but none of them were stocked with supplies. We did enjoy the rain forest and the aquarium areas immensely. The Cafe was great and the food was both reasonably priced and very good.

Experiência negativa: Came over spring break. This place honestly sucks. It is barely interactive. Looks old and dingy. Not worth the price tag. My daughter’s favorite part was the gift shop.

Madison Dias 5 months ago

Experiência negativa: Not worth your time unless you have small children with good imaginations, almost everything that had a button was broken, everything I touched was sticky, no hand sanitizers were posted anywhere. Overall this place is dirty and barely functioning, and even with making the most of the day it sucks to spend so much money for an experience like this.

N R 5 months ago

Experiência negativa: Wack!!! The planetarium show is not worth $8 for 11 minutes, The Voice over commentator kept stuttering over his words. Nothing really for toddlers to do, (advanced 4yr old) my daughter was so bored she started playing with the water on a small section of a kids play room. Visiting from Atlanta, Georgia, definitely not worth $75 including parking. we could've stayed home and went to the Georgia aquarium! Their little fish section is laughable. There is an entire learning space on dogs?!?!?!?!? No dinosaurs, no real entertainment. This place sucks.

Sarah Jo 5 months ago

Experiência negativa: I used to love this place as a kid, especially the animal exhibits, but they only have a few of them now. We went this morning, and the $65 we spent on general admission tickets was insulting and way too overpriced! My 3 year old, whose ticket was $18, was so bored after the first floor because there were barely any animals, nothing about space, or dinosaurs. Go to the Schiele Museum in Gastonia; the price of admission is much cheaper and the museum itself is much more fun!

Clifford Janzen 5 months ago

Experiência fantástica: Amazing place to bring the kids or even entertaining for adults! The best kids museum I've ever been to. They have fun activities and things that kids cannot do anywhere else. Just go!

Experiência fantástica: Found a wedding band on 4/6 near the air chair - describe it and I'll make sure it gets back to you. Send me an email description to wheelieformeatgmaildotcom. Fairly interesting and engaging activities for the family to do. A little bit better than expected, we ended up spending almost 3 hours here! The IMAX eclipse presentation was okay, remember, don't stare at the sun folks.

Experiência negativa: I have had the discovery place all museums family membership for many years, been to all museums including the one at Rockingham, many times. Had great memories with my kids and never had any issues. Today's experience is new. Waited a few minutes in the line, when I showed my e-membership card, the lady asked whether I remembered putting my kids names in the membership. I was like what? I don't remember, I had the membership for several years, I just renewed every year, I can't remember that. But it's a family membership, does it allow two adults and 3 kids we have today? The lady insisted that she saw on the membership 2 adults and two guests but no kids listed. I was like, doesn't a family include kids? They are not guests! Another lady at the front desk joined the discussion and they decided to call for the manager for help. The manager couldn't figure it out, and despite how annoyed I had become at the moment, she told me she would go to "check on my end/system" and left. A few minutes later she came back, and the front desk lady handed me the wristbands without saying a word. I took it and walked away with my family without saying thank you. I want my 20 minutes standing there back, but how?

Steve Bullock 6 months ago

Experiência positiva: Our eleven year old thought the first floor animal and aquarium exhibits were fun and well done. Once we went to the second and third floor, at least of half the activities were out of order, and there was chaos everywhere due to the swarms of small, screaming children. Overall, this is a destination most likely to be enjoyed by kids aged six and under.

Courtney 6 months ago

Experiência positiva: Stopped in for a date without the kids. It was cute but honestly I thought it was a bit over priced since there wasn’t much to do in it and many of the machines/toys were broken. It’s a neat thing to do at least once. Parking is in the parking garage right passed the entrance. If you’re in a large truck, you may have some issues finding a place to park.

Clive N 6 months ago

Experiência negativa: I hate to leave a review like this but feel others need to be fully informed. I need to make clear that kids generally enjoy the experience regardless. But as the one who paid $92.24 for 2 adults and 2 kids PLUS $17 for 2.5 hours of parking, this is far from worth the value. We went on a Saturday around 2pm. The first thing I noticed was how trashed the activity stations were. Many stations did not have the materials available to perform the activity sufficiently or completely. Many other interactive exhibits with buttons or knobs were broken and inoperable. The kids expressed a little frustration at one point saying "nothing works". I could see other adults trying to figure out if it was user error or if indeed things were not working. Some instructions were not clear. They had a fascinating dog exhibit but again, the small track which measured kids running speed to compare against dogs was not working - displaying 'ERR 1'. No pressing of buttons changes that. They have a couple cool free interactive street exhibits which are fun to stop by and experience - if they are working of course. Which on our day, they were not. We tried to make the most of it. But discovery place needs to make a major investment to get things back on track or simply make it free. I would recommend calling before hand to ask about the exhibits fully functioning and going much earlier in the day so you will have more organized and fully stocked activity stations. Currently cannot recommend. Come on Charlotte, I know you can do better than this.

Experiência fantástica: Excellent for small and big kids. It's a very fun place and has so many great attractions. I really enjoyed and my 12 year old and 3 year old had a blast. It was something different and with cool stuff that they don't get bored. I strongly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and always available. It has a parking behind and the price for the park and parking isn't bad. You can pay the ticket at the museum.

Allison Acosta 7 months ago

Experiência negativa: Staff was very unsympathetic and rude to my toddler. We were walking by when my potty-training 2-year-old needed to pee, and we asked if we could use their restroom. They insisted their restroom was not open to the public, that we had to have a ticket, and that they would not make any exception for a young child still learning to not wet her pants. They ensured we will never actually purchase tickets again or recommend that anyone else do so. I thought a place marketed to children would have been kinder to them.

Cody Smith 7 months ago

Experiência positiva: Discovery places a great environment for learning and for kids to have fun. I have been coming to discovery place for many, many years. I enjoyed it as a kid and now my kids get to enjoy it. The only thing I would say is that there's still things there from when I was a kid. Not a whole lot has changed.

Alex G 7 months ago

Experiência positiva: Went to discovery place for the first time for science on the rocks. Sadly it left a lot to be desired. The biggest issue was purely the amount of people they admitted. An hour into the event, the drink lines were about a half hour wait or more, as there were only 2 places to get drinks in the entire event. There were also lines to get in some of the exhibitions. Some better crowd control and capacity limits are definitely needed here. And for nearly $50 a couple plus $10 parking, definitely not worth it. I’ll note though that all of the staff I talked to were extremely nice!

Experiência fantástica: Wonderfully creative place for your children of all ages! We live in Raleigh but came here cuz we can get in for free with our membership to Marbles here in Raleigh! Saved us $67 on admission!!! AMEN! There are three floors of fun sciency things for your kids to experiment with, creative building things, water play, musical things, and the best part our son loved the most…ANIMALS!!! He LOVED seeing the animals and experience that aspect. My favorite part was the HUGE 2-story tropical rain forest type bird aviary they have there! Top notch! ️ We went through all three floors, then took our lunch break in their AWESOME cafeteria!!! The food was AWESOME! You HAVE to get one of their Mango Smoothies!!!! After finishing lunch, we walked through the museum a second time, hitting all of the highlights and seeing our favorite parts again. LOVED IT! (The only negative aspect at all, was that a few of their interactive exhibits needed their pieces replenished…or some aspect of the apparatus fixed or maintenance performed on it.)

Experiência fantástica: Fantastic place to bring kids to explore everything from the rainforest to engineering. I highly recommend getting the annual pass if you're local, as you can get in an hour earlier, and there is no way you can explore the whole place in one visit. I have been a couple times, and I just discovered the 2nd floor with a building workshop and a massive collection of Lego bricks to just build with, along with interactive exhibits on architecture and design. It's fun for kids, and parents will have a bit of fun as well.

Experiência fantástica: This is a fun place to go to. From looking at neat science stuff to playing a game about space, this place is full of stuff that will make you have a great time. What I really came here for was astronomy. However the moon stuff was a little to complicated for me. Another problem is that someone probably moved a bit too much that they threw up in the toilet. I’m not kidding. I’ll show proof but blur it since it’s disgusting. Other than that the rainforest area was cool, as well as the aquarium and the life stuff. We didn’t realize there was 3 floors so we almost missed one but in my honest opinion it was meh. Just some random robotics or building stuff. You could make music up there though. There is this technology thingy that you can use and it’s about a skeleton. And at the cool stuff area they have cool stuff. There is like a slingshot and some kind of machine next to the slingshot. There are 2 machines. The air chair and whatever the other one is called. I rate this a 5/5. I would come back but I would not like to see vomit.

Experiência positiva: Discovery Place is and always will be AWESOME! I've been going here since I was a child, and now I have the opportunity to take my own kids. I'd give them 5 stars, but we were kind of saddened that we couldn't afford to see the IMAX movies anymore. They have a great admission discount for families that receive SNAP benefits, but not much of a discount for the actual IMAX tickets so we were pretty bummed that we couldn't afford to pay around $30 for our family of 4 to go see a movie. However, if you have the money, the IMAX is unique and a one of a kind experience. Another pricing issue was with the moving exhibit- $20 per PERSON to see super heroes... I didn't see anyone walk into that exhibit for that price. Money aside, GENERAL admission grants you access to the museum portion which includes a children's area (7 years old or younger), a rainforest, a mini aquarium, an area where you can zoom in with microscopes on all sorts of nature-y things like rocks, sand, bugs, bones, shells, etc... and so much more! It's a lot of fun and there's a lot to learn for both adults and children. Our favorite exhibit has always been the bed of nails, because, how cool is that?! If you live in or are visiting the immediate area and haven't visited this museum, it's definitely in my book of top 5's for things to do in Charlotte with kids.

Experiência negativa: I really liked the place it had a lot to offer but the staff is very delusional. They told me that I needed to have my wristbands on but you cannot put your wrist band in the water where the fish is so you. Can't have it on if you want to see the Marvel You can't put your hand in the water because it has the stamp for the marble that will contaminat the water and it Only makes it more where you can't put it on they buged me endlessly until I left. Instead of saying ok I see them yall have fun we wasn't causing any problems

Experiência fantástica: We visited Discovery Place Science recently with our 4 oldest grandchildren, ages 10, 12, 14, with some doubt as to whether they would be too old for the exhibits. I'm not sure why we were worried. They absolutely loved it. There were plenty of interactive exhibits and lots of exhibits with live animals. On the day we were there, there was a Marvel exhibit, which was fun for us older guys as well as the kids. We will definitely go back.

Experiência negativa: This place has a ton of great things for kids of all ages to do. However, with that said, we just purchased a family membership and the employees that we saw and saw us, not one of them smiled or said hi to us. Very disappointed due to the lack of acknowledgement from the staff. The lady at the gift shop saw us but didn’t say anything to us and we were the only ones there. The lady at the exit which we walked right past didn’t even say have a good day or thanks for visiting. Just frustrating due to friendly employees always make any experience better. Because they are part of the experience. Also, it seems like there were a handful of things that weren’t open or didn’t work. Or didn’t have the appropriate pieces for them to be in use. We are excited to come back, but really hope the employees seem like they like their job.

Experiência fantástica: Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Charlotte area. Lots to do and see. The IMAX movie, Into America’s Wild, was great!

Experiência fantástica: The staff were amazing!! We have been before but never have the staff been more attentive and involved in making our visit the best experience ever!

Experiência fantástica: The best place to take your kids too. Lots to do and hands on interactive

Experiência positiva: Great place for kids, so much to do and see. A lil' pricey for 2 adults and 2 kids (like $178), but you can stay there for hours. We saw the Marvel exhibit and were not disappointed.

Experiência fantástica: By far the best experience we have had so far in the city. My four kids, ranging from 3 to 15 all loved it. We will be back!

Experiência positiva: Nice place to bring your kids. Tickets are expensive. This place is mostly focused on kids.

Experiência positiva: Where are the Iron Man souvenirs? All Marvel’s recognition thanks to Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain America, what the hell? Why is there so little attention paid to these characters?

Experiência fantástica: 2nd time here with a field trip from Prosperity Sc 2nd graders, and I loved it as much as the first time with my oldest. Hated the 2nd floor was under construction, but we will be back soon as it's complete

Experiência negativa: If you want to spend $100 and have half the exhibits say this, then by all means, go do it. Honestly this was such a waste of time and money. We did everything the was working within an hour. Plus, so many kids from summer camps that were rude and cutting in line in front of our daughter. Not the best experience. Do better Discovery Place Science Center.

Experiência positiva: Nice museum. Went with a preschool class. Not as big as some of the others I’ve been to in Columbia, SC and Raleigh. I probably would not buy a membership to this one due to that reason.

Experiência fantástica: This is a big place with lot of information for kids and adults related to science. It’s a well maintained property and surely families with kids can spend nice 2-3 hours. This place has lot to offer which can keep young as well as big kids engaged. You need to pay for parking which you can buy online and show at the entrance desk or you can directly buy at the entrance desk. They have Imax for you to watch movies related to science and fiction. Inside you will also find a little rain forest.I definitely recommend this place.

Experiência negativa: I was in this place 10 yrars ago and expected to see a lot of improvements, new areas and attractions. However, I even found thar they removed a lot of equipment and left empty areas for just wandering around. Admission was high, lines are long on a workday, staff are teenagers that dont care. Equipment is broken sometimes and outdated. Rooms with the insects and fishes are empty or display just several animals. Rainforest has coouple of parrots and birds. It was horrible experience.

Experiência fantástica: I loved this museum. Parking desk is next to the museum making it convenient. The museum offers so many hands on activities for children of all ages. There is an walkthrough aquarium & rainforest area so you can become immersed. Love the learning through play and it's definitely one of my favorite science museums now!

Experiência fantástica: Visiting from Mpls and we did a day with our little girl at this museum. She had fun; and there’s a lot to do. Tickets are on the higher end though and parking $14 is a bit too much.

Experiência negativa: 8-10 broken/out of order stations. Sticker shock at the window occupied my mind for the entire day! $77 for 1adult/2kids! Not as interactive as expected. This is the worst science center we have experienced in NC so far. Everything of interest was $20 extra.

Experiência positiva: I've been coming here since I was Young on field trips. I've always enjoyed it. When I got older I started bringing my children here. We always had a blast. Yesterday we went for the first time in a long time and I have to say I was disappointed. All four of my kids were bored within a half hour of getting there. It just doesn't seem the same. Cuba was their exhibit and you had to pay more to get into it. If you didn't then you were left with only half the museum to enjoy. I must say my family and I won't be back. Goodbye Discovery Place. It was fun when it was fun.

Experiência fantástica: We went for a work retreat and I was really impressed. Lots of great exhibits! Could have spent all day here. Parking in the garage is located across the street, which can be easy to miss depending on which navigation app you use. Cafe onsite and plenty of restaurants located within walking distance.

Experiência positiva: Some of the exhibitions were closed, but the animals and rain forest exhibition were nice. They have a place where you can sit and order food, they have nice healthy options which is nice. The turkado sandwich was really good.

Experiência positiva: My best friend moved from OH to NC and I’m in SC so we met up to have a family day! Our party of people consisted of my best friend, her husband, their 4 month old, mysef, my husband, our 2 daughters (10 & 4), and my best friend’s parents. We spent about 5 hours at Discovery Place. My husband is in a wheelchair and we had no issues with getting handicap parking, the parking garage and entire facility are wheelchair accessible. There were tons of hands on activities for the kids to do. There’s really no rhyme or reason to the layout. It’s all just an open area and you can freely go from one to another. It was a little crowded so we did have to wait for some of the interactive exhibits but not too bad. The rainforest is a great experience and allows you to really immerse into the experience. The rainforest is accessible from the 1st and 2nd floor. The 3rd floor wasn’t the greatest but by the time you get there, you’re wiped out anyways. This is definitely a museum that will take hours so be prepared to make a day of it. By the time we got to the 2nd floor and the kids did all those activities, we didn’t have much time before they closed to do the Top Secret crime section but we did as much as we could do. We went on Saturday 3/4/23 and they opened at like 10:30 and closed at 4:30 and you could easily take up that entire time in there as there is so much for the kids to see and do. What I was not happy with was the prices of the gift shop. I’m aware prices at museums/tourist attractions are always a little more pricey BUT usually, the prices are still reasonable. My daughter was going to get a sloth stuffed animal and it was a small stuffed animal (approximately 10” in height” and they wanted $41 for it. The super small stuffed animals were $20. That’s insane. Waters are approximately $3.50-$4 per bottled water however, they allow you to bring outside drinks in (from what I could tell) so it may be beneficial (especially if you’re taking kids) to bring a small cooler or book bag with some bottled waters for the day. My best friend bought a stuffed animal, a stress squeeze ball and 3 bead bracelets for $90. The squeeze stress ball exploded about 5 minutes after leaving the gift shop (while we were walking around) and we took it back to the shop and asked if we could get another one and they said “sorry, we don’t do refunds or exchanges”. Considering the museum offers discounted prices for people with WIC and/or EBT, you’d think they’d have a little more affordable prices in their gift shop. My 10 year old decided she wasn’t paying and wasn’t allowing me to pay $41 for a stuffed animal she could get on Amazon for more than 1/2 the price. She did buy a small crystal animal keepsake and it was $11. Aside from that, everything else was great. If you purchase tickets online, it’s cheaper. For 2 adults and 2 children tickets (purchased online), it was $85 and we parked in the parking garage and paid for parking inside the museum for a discounted rate too ($14 to park all day if you pay inside the museum). We didn’t know it was cheaper to buy tickets online but they have a QR code right by the front door and you can stand to the side and purchase your tickets right there and save $3-4 bucks per ticket that way! Overall, I’d go again but I’d definitely be more prepared and take our own drinks and not plan to buy anything in their gift shop.

Experiência fantástica: We love the play room for younger kids. The water table is my son’s favorite. The rainforest has also been a hit. I highly recommend the annual pass.

Experiência positiva: The exhibits were pretty cool and very hands on. The kids loved it. Pretty spacious and lots of different things to see/do. I feel like the price tag isn't worth it for the adults specifically but I think it's cool they offer discounts for EBT.

Experiência positiva: A little pricey! I paid $45 & $17 for parking for a toddler and one adult. They do have 3 levels of attractions. I believe this is geared more toward older kids. I don't think it was worth the price. However, it's a pretty cool place with several unique areas!

Experiência positiva: I would have liked to rate this place higher but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations which I had after visiting the website and pictures. The line to buy tickets was quite long, even the line for people who bought tickets in advance. It was very crowded and hot. This place had some very interesting exhibits but unfortunately since it was so crowded it was hard for my granddaughter who is 6 year's old to get close enough to them to enjoy it. There were only a few actual interactive exhibits and I was expecting much more. Again, even those exhibits were so crowded. Some of the exhibits were amazing and beautiful. Perhaps if I could come at a time that it's not as crowded ( not sure when that is) it might be more enjoyable for my granddaughter.
