Experiencia fantástica: Lamentablemente, solo estaba de visita en Sligo por el día, pero estaba interesado en saber más sobre Sligo porque mis abuelos nacieron allí. Llegué al museo solo diez minutos antes de que cerrara a la hora del almuerzo. ¡Oh, pero la amable señora me dio en realidad dos hermosos libros como regalo, estaba tan emocionado, fue increíblemente amable de su parte! Leí un libro anoche, ¡absolutamente fascinante! ¡El segundo libro es para mi próxima lectura nocturna! ¡Lamento haberme perdido su museo, pero prometo regresar algún día! ¡Muchas gracias!

Experiencia positiva: Small museum, only 3 rooms. We saw no photo signs but some people took photos. Quick and free and right next to the library. Parking: Street Cost: Free Bathrooms: No/unsure Walkways: Indoors, narrow. Time spent: 20 minutes Kid friendly: Sorta, most stuff in cases but some things they could touch and damage so be mindful. Not ideal for buggys/strollers

Experiencia fantástica: A small museum with an eclectic collection and friendly staff. The museum is quite small, only comprising a few rooms. The collection is all things related to Sligo. Due to the space constraints many of the exhibits are right beside each other and not grouped by period. However, the staff make this museum, and if you ask the curators questions they will give in-depth and fascinating stories about the artefacts and the area. It is well worth a visit.

Experiencia positiva: Fascinating little free museum jam packed with information and exhibits relating to County Sligo. The displays are a bit old fashioned, but it's worth taking time at each one. There's wonderful exhibits about the great Irish figures of William Butler Yeats, Countess Markievicz and her sister Eva Gore Booth. It's a very small museum and probably not going to interest young children, but it promotes all that's good and great about Sligo. The museum closes for lunch, so plan your visit accordingly.
