🗣️ Museo KGB: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Brilliant museum! Host is incredibly enthusiastic and good at English. Cost €20 which was a tad steep for me as I was on a budget but in the end it was so worth it!
Experiencia fantástica: Overall a great experience all around, the place was great. The guide was funny, nice and very expressive in his actions. Sometimes it felt like a theater and sometimes army training, like how to takedown an enemy behind you with a knife. He explained the different types of spy cameras and their uses, the evolution of KGB ballistic knifes. Personally, my favorite part was the last one, we could hold an AK-47 and a WW2 PPSH. Obviously without any ammo. This tour lasts along 1 hour and a half. Would recommend coming to this museum, though he goes into a bit gruesome detail especially with the knife part.
Experiencia fantástica: For one hour I was completely engaged.. Didn't have the urge to look at my phone even once. This is NOT a traditional "museum" where you read a plaque and yawn without truly understanding anything... The owner gives a tour de force spectacle of the most diabolical KGB technology and strategy you have ever seen, you cannot get this from a YouTube video! owner has carefully and lovingly curated what must be the most extensive private collection of KGB Memorabilia in the world. Not for the faint hearted, however, the owner will do his best to accommodate you.. there were even children in our group and he tailored his presentation to their level. If you have any interest in the soviet union, Military history, or communism, you must go. Bravo!
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting experience and friendly guide. He was a good source of information and very entertaining/engaging. Would recommend to go! Also said cheeki breaki which made the tour even better. 10/10
Experiencia fantástica: What a fun experience! The tour guide is very nice and funny. It’s definitely a very different experience than traditional museum, here you can closely see and touch the collection. I understand that some people prefer “classic” museum tour but this is an experience you will not forget and you will not get bored. My family and I had a great time, the tour guide was also very kind, offering water and chairs to ladies and seniors.
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely a must do experience if you are in Prague.. I’m not going to detail the experience because everybody must be surprised… and trust me, you will be surprised. Best museum tour that I had in my life!!
Experiencia fantástica: The best and weirdest hour and a half of my life — I don’t know anything more about the KGB than I did when I started, but for some reason I’m totally fine with that. This experience was like an acid trip with no substances involved. I couldn’t recommend it more, I don’t think. I don’t know. This museum is well worth a visit by everyone — just be aware that whatever you’re expecting won’t happen, and whatever you’re not expecting will happen more than once.
Experiencia fantástica: Took the tour with my girlfriend.Impressive collection of rare KGB items such as uniforms, weapons and other devices used for spionage activities. Also the guide gave interesting information for self defense tactics. We liked it a lot.
Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough good things about this tour. So worth it, an amazing deal. The owner is very animated and charismatic it’s really a great experience, not crowded at all. I learned so much from a new perspective.
Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend visiting. Although the museum is really small, it’s jam packed with KGB weapons, uniforms, and other paraphernalia. The owner is a riot, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Really memorable, unique, and hilarious experience.
Experiencia fantástica: This was a fascinating experience. The tour guide showed us relics and memorabilia that couldn't be found anywhere else. Eye opening to say the least, with an incredible history telling of the communist era from the Russian perspective.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is interesting and owner is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject, albeit eccentric Russian Guy, and seems to be pro-KGB and pro Putin. Parts of the guided tour include videos of victory day (9th of may) parade and a demonstration of how to kill people using various knives and poisons used by the KGB. From brief questioning it seems that owner's family were KGB officers, so the guy is intimately familiar with the subject and the positive attitude is understandable, even if I disagree. I did not question him about his opinion about currentt issues, e.g. the conflict in Ukraine, Putin, etc. It seems that I would probably not agree with his opinon of those subjects. It would probably be interesting to hear him about stuff like Litvinenko's assassinatiom and the Skripal poisoning case and some other cases. A five star review regardless, as the collection and the tour are good. Price is 400 CZK.
Experiencia fantástica: What a place. What a guide. Passionate, informed, charismatic. Was advised to come visit and did not disappoint one bit. Interactive and some of the gadgets and weapons on display...... wow. Simply wow
Experiencia fantástica: Brilliant and well worth the visit. Funny crazy Russian bloke gives an entertaining and passionate explanation of his exhibits. You can only go in on a guided tour which has set start times so check the start times.
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely a must visit. Tour guide is incredibly passionate about his museum and shows a lot of information. He helped take pictures as well.
Experiencia fantástica: The owner is very passionate about USSR and Russian history. His acting is the biggest highlight of the museum. There are also weapons, spy kits, clothes etc. from the URSS. Be careful not to get into a debate about current politics with the owner, enjoy yourself and take some pictures with the guns.
Experiencia fantástica: You have to be on time, a tours starts and after that you cannot enter and have to wait. Maybe it is worth waiting because the owner makes your visit worthwhile. A lot of KGB gadgets and weapons are demonstrated and can be held by visitors. The tour is informative and entertaining, not boring. Interesting place that shows some history in a not much seen or heard perspective.
Experiencia fantástica: Absolute must see for anyone who's interested in WW2/Cold War era history. Presented with fiery intensity by a passionate Russian with a very extensive knowledge of the KGB history, assassination techniques and weaponry. Easily one of my favourite museum experiences in Europe, the history is very much presented directly to you. It should also be noted there is a shop where you can buy genuine soviet badges and watches. Had I known this in advance I would have gladly grabbed a few gifts for my friend back home
Experiencia fantástica: Oh maaaan, this was such a quirky and fun experience. The man giving the tour and explanation was hilarious with his performances and so informative. I quite liked him and didn’t see that sort of entertainment coming, I thought it would be a depressing and overly serious tour. I loved it. Informative, interesting and fun. His accent may be hard to follow in the beginning but you manage to decipher what he says after a bit. Keep in mind that the place is small and not a huge museum
Experiencia fantástica: Having read various Google (good & bad) reviews we decided to visit this museum and was so happy we did. As other reviewers have said it is more an experience than a museum and the owners input is both interesting and humorous (you'll be laughing) You also get a chance to handle the weapons on display (watch those fingers) The whole thing lasted around and hour plus but you'll wish it was longer. Definitely worth a visit unless you've had a humour bypass.
