Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful small museum with pretty gardens. I really appreciated the Buddhist art collection. Worth stopping at for 1-2 hours.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums I went to in Tokyo. So beautiful and interesting, plus a gorgeous outside area with a tea garden. Go early so you can spend as much time outside as you do inside.

Experiencia fantástica: The garden is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The cafe is great too but can get busy.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing private collection ! The museum itself is worth the visit, with a stunning architecture and a fresh garden. The narrative paintings are beautiful. There were not many visitors which was very appreciable on a Sunday afternoon.

Experiencia fantástica: Small but nice private museum, the Nezucafe is in the garden of the museum, you have to pay the entrance fee first, otherwise, there is no free access to the cafe. If you search from the web, there are two Nezucafe, one is in the street, offering hot meals, that one inside the museum only offer drinks and cakes.

Experiencia fantástica: 2023.06.23 First visit. I visited here because an acquaintance introduced me it was one of the best museums in Tokyo. Main works are related with Buddhism and Japanese tea ceremony. I didn’t know that it was designed by Kengo Kuma who is my favorite architect. The combination of the building, art works and nature are incredible! You can enjoy it if you watch the videos of Kengo Kuma and the director of the museum at the website before you come.

Experiencia fantástica: One of my fav small Japanese art museum in Tokyo. It’s near harajuku/Omotesando area so perfect place to combine with shopping im omotesando. This museum got good collection of Japanese art but also their garden is impressive. It’s bigger than I expected too. If you like and want to immerse yourself in Japanese art, this place is it.

Experiencia fantástica: esterday, my father wanted to invite my husband's mother to the Nezu Museum, so I was able to accompany him. It was hard to buy a ticket, so I bought it on the day, but I was surprised that there were more people than I expected, but what surprised me even more was the beauty of the building. Beauty I made a high wall with bamboo, and it was very nice that the sun came in between the roof and the roof. I was also fascinated by the tea ceremony utensils and the hanging scrolls on display, but the folding screen, which is a national treasure, was so impressive that I was blown away. The garden is also beautiful with beautiful trees and beautiful greenery at the time of the year, so the heart is healed. At the cafe in the garden, my husband's mother had a hamburger and coffee, my parents had a little coffee at Mont Blanc, and I had an ice latte. It was a place that made me want to stay long in the space, but not only the scenery but also the food, dessert and coffee were very delicious. I am grateful to my father at home.

Experiencia fantástica: great garden & museum! especially, in May. Irises in bloom.

Experiencia fantástica: The museum is a beautiful building with wonderful artifacts. Gardens are perfect. Tea and sweet degustation, ridiculous presentation that misguides a tea ceremony.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place in tokyo! museum itself was good too but the garden was the best! very cozy and calm. This space made me so peaceful. Nezu cafe was also good place to visit. It was located inside the garden. You can enjoy the view and warm tea in there.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum has two parts, museum and the garden. In the museum, we have lots of artifacts from Ancient China India and many countries. Many collections were sent from china which includes Buddhism and some Hindu Gods. All were so old and interesting, could see many rare artifacts, must visit museum.

Experiencia fantástica: Great modern architecture deeply influenced by traditional Japanese architecture. There was a beautiful garden in the museum compound as well. The exhibitions was not many but OK. I went here for its architecture and I'd recommend anyone who likes to see buildings to visit the place.

Experiencia fantástica: Handsome small museum with a nice assortment of traditional Asian art. I got the impression that the items on display rotate, but I've only been there once so I'm not sure. Most items have excellent English translations. The museum is beautiful, but the garden is exquisite and should not be missed. One of the best I've seen in Japan and excellent for viewing autumn foliage. Also has a great gift shop! I'd say plan for 1.5 to 2 hours. Makes for a great morning.

Experiencia fantástica: A corner of peace in a crazy busy town. Relatively small permanent collection focused on Japanese and Asian art with one changing temporary exhibition (next exhibition Suzuki Kiitsu / Summer Autumn mountain Stream Folding Screen). The temporary exhibition last one one months circa and the museum is closed for 14 days in between the different temporary exhibitions (if you are planning to visit please check their website to make sure they are open). Due to COVID-19 pre booking is recommended but not mandatory. You can just pop up and wait outside to be granted access. Tickets are ¥1500 per person. Pictures and not allowed in the galleries. 6 galleries available- our favourite was number Gallery 4 (bronzes gallery). The garden is absolutely a gem. Created in 1906 it is a island of peace with a lake, small altars and a cafe. We highly recommend spending some time here. Last but not least it’s a barrier free garden

Experiencia fantástica: One of my favorite little museums in Tokyo, located in Aoyama residential area. Love the annual Ogata Korin’s exhibition along with beautiful Iris in season at the garden. There is a little tea house in the garden and you can experience tea ceremony there.

Experiencia positiva: Beautifully designed museum with traditional garden. When walking through the garden, make sure you don't mss the Suikinkutsu (水琴窟), a water harp created by using the sound of water droplets falling into small pots/basins in the ground. You have to be very still to hear it and it has a very magical quality.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the most beautiful Japanese garden museum in Tokyo. Great location from Omotesando. There was also a nice collection of old Japanese tea ceremony inside of the museum. Highly recommend this place if you wanna dig in a bit of Japanese culture in the centre of Tokyo. English audio guidance was available.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best Japanese gardens especially in Fall, with a variety of maple trees and small ponds, including tea houses and all of this right in the middle of tokyo.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a beautiful place. Begin by the exhibitions then take a walk in the garden (highly recommended to put on some of the mosquito repellent they give at the entrance, such a nice thought). The garden alone is worth the entrance price; full of different trees and ponds with koi fishes. There are also a lot of statues along the paths. The museum itself is very modern and peaceful. I’m glad I visited. P.s. Come early! Gets crowded in the evening.

Experiencia fantástica: The garden is the winner. Every tree, every stone lantern, every stream is carefully designed and arranged. The result is a poetic wonderland. During momiji, the Japanese maple turning red AND golden, the garden becomes a spectacular painting with every corner you turn.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazingly aesthetic museum with several pieces merging history and nature. Indoors there is an exhibit on tea, while upstairs are a multitude of pieces ranging from works on a culturally significant story to ancient tools. Outdoors is where the real magic happens. The museum opens up into a garden that winds around multiple paths leading to small points of attraction like a shrine or huts.

Experiencia fantástica: Favorite find in Tokyo!!!!! Not listed as one of the “top” museums but by far my favorite! Indoor has a beautiful history of Japanese art and outside has a beautiful Japanese garden that you could spend days in!!!!! A must see museum in Tokyo!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice museum & the building itself is worth the visit. You can’t take pictures inside exhibition rooms; english descriptions are not very detailed, so it may be worth it to use the audio guide. Allow at least 1.5-2 hours to visit the museum and 1 hour to walk around the gardens, which are impressive and highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums in Tokyo. This private museum have a small but incredible collections of painting and sculptures from 3rd century to 19th century. Being in different museums in Tokyo, highly recommend this museum with its gorgeous garden. Only downside is its lack of audio guide in English, only available in Japanese, however enough description is available at each piece that make up for it.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful museum and a centre of piece, great place to relax for a change in busy Tokyo. Make sure you explore both the inside museum as well as the outside gardens. If you feel like it, you can experience a small tea ceremony and taste some local sweets.

Experiencia fantástica: What an impressive museum this is. Architect Kengo Kuma has made a fantastic building that is worth the trip on its own. Apart from the exhibits you might see the museum has a fantastic garden that will take you couple of hours to visit and enjoy. Also it has a great little cafeteria that servEs quite descent food. I recommend it for sure. Because you are already in this a area, I recommend you walk the designer’s street (even obviously is expensive).. the buildings are incredible and the designers are out of this world.

Experiencia fantástica: The garden at Nezu is quite clearly the star of the show. The gallery collection itself is impressive, but it's also quite small; for that reason, the overwhelming majority of your visit will be spent walking about the garden or else enjoying the view from the cafe. The museum gift shop has a number of great offerings (I purchased about twenty postcards). The museum also provides storage compartments in the basement. A ¥1 refundable deposit nets you piece of mind as you take in the gallery and garden.

Experiencia fantástica: This is one of those Japanese gardens that will bring you “zen-ness” right away. I visited the place for its garden, but was also surprisingly impressed by the museum building. While I don’t know much about architecture, I can appreciate all the details of the building design. Every corner seems to have a view. It’s a good place to take a break from Tokyo’s busyness.

Experiencia fantástica: Sacred space! We spent most of the time in the garden, so beautiful and peaceful. Definitely grab a bite at their cafe, it's a beautiful design and delicious food. If mosquitos love you, might want to bring some bug spray but it wasn't bad.

Experiencia fantástica: I could spend hours in the garden alone. Extremely well curated museum(and garden). It's not very big but the exhibitions rotate fairly frequently. If you live in the city, getting an annual pass would be a must.
