Experiencia positiva: A beautiful building where you can learn about the thought of zen by D.T. Suzuki. It’s a museum less popular than 21 century contemporary art museum. Quiet, but a lot smaller than imagined. we got in without queues, and had a nice walk around after the visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Must visit Museum in Kanazawa. World famous architect, Yoshino Taniguchi’s artwork. You can take a look wonderful water-mirror garden without ticketing from out side of the museum but pretty worth visiting inside too. Love to visit again.

Experiencia fantástica: Great concept for a museum, the structure allows for a lot of freedom and the content can be explored freely with any kind of depth depending on interest and curiosity. On a sunny day, the outdoor area is stunning and the contemplative space is great for sitting down and letting the mind go free. It's an essential stop for visitors passing through Kanazawa, regardless of previous knowledge about DT Suzuki or Zen Buddhism.

He is the greatest researcher about ZEN (禅).¥300 for Admission fee. You will see your beautiful inner place in this museum. Also check out amazing architecture by Yoshio Taniguchi.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw a picture of the house on the water and knew we had to visit this museum. The prices for museums in all of Kanazawa that we went to were ¥300 for adult, and this wasn’t an exception. They had plenty of English translation, and I very much enjoyed the place of contemplation on the water. There were some great pictures of Suzuki and lovely books to learn more. I appreciated that they gave us a little folder to collect more information while learning. A must see for those who appreciate Zen.

Experiencia fantástica: Everything in the museum is presented with care and the atmosphere is relaxed. You can really appreciate that a lot of time and effort has gone into presenting the content to tell a story. My visit here was one of the highlights of my stay in kanazawa.

Experiencia fantástica: You don't need a lot of time to cover this museum, but there's plenty to learn whilst inside. Interesting history of the man and his philosophy, and some very tranquil spaces to visit!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent but small museum. Take your time as you go through it and carefully consider the few exhibits as they have been created with great care. I sat in the small library and read through a chapter of one of his books. A great experience and peaceful exercise! It’s fine for children, but it’s definitely geared more towards adults. Take time to sit in the contemplation space and look out over the small man-made pond. A tranquil and relaxing place that you could walk through in 10 minutes or stay an hour.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I's favourite sight in Kanazawa. Amazing experience walking through the building and learning about DT Suzuki and Buddhist philosophy, everything is so zen and minimal. Great place to just watch the pond and trees, listen to nature. Highly recommended :)

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend coming here to take in the serene, refined atmosphere. The museum itself is quite small, but it's worth visiting considering it's only a short walk from the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art and tickets are inexpensive.

Experiencia fantástica: Probably the most zen museum I have been to and the least busy one in Kanazawa at weekends. Very calming, quiet space with a contemplation room which looks out over the surrounding water and allows you to gather your thoughts. A space which shows that a minimalist approach to living is probably the best tonic for calming the mind. Don’t miss the gardens at the back.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a place which has to be seen to and experienced, hard to describe why it's so amazing in words . Loved our time there, could have stared at the zen pool for hours. The rest of the exibhit did not make an impression but the pool is beautiful.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved this place, more for its design and exterior than the actual exhibits relating to it's eponymous subject. The garden at the back is also worth a wander, secluded, and green with a small lake in the middle. The whole thing is worth an hour+ I would say

But the real gems are the outside spaces. Come, turn off your phone and walk slowly and enjoy the space. Arrive early, miss the later-morning visitors. Don't miss the large adjacent / connected garden out back.
