Experiencia fantástica: Very nice Anthony Gormley exhibition. His works are beautifully placed in relation to the architecture of the museum and the works of Lehmbruck. A visit is very worthwhile.

Experiencia fantástica: We liked it very much!!! Lots of great exhibits. As always, you have to deal with and deal with some things there longer. I wasn't there for the last time!

Experiencia fantástica: A very nice little museum in Duisburg not far from the main station. Not only the Lehmbruck artworks are fantastic, but also the rest of the exhibition.

Experiencia fantástica: Important art museum, all about Wilhelm Lehmbruck. And I saw his sculptures in a new way, there you can really see sadness, looking and joy, the sculptures are simply always human. And all this in architecturally beautiful rooms.

Experiencia fantástica: Interesting museum with many works by the sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck (1881-1919) and a number of sculptures by other artists. Architect of the beautiful museum building from 1964 and an extension from 1983 is the son Manfred Lehmbruck. On every 1st Friday of the month you can set your own entrance fee. Definitely worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: A must see. Magnificent collection in a rational and well-resolved building for what can be seen: a beautiful collection of sculptures

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice museum with interesting architecture and very nicely located in a small park, which gives the whole a special atmosphere. The park is included, there are sculptures on display. The staff is very friendly. Accessibility by public transport is easy, depending on where you get on from Duisburg Hbf, 1-2 stops by bus, with almost every bus line going to the Lehmbruck Museum stop. Public transport is recommended as finding a parking space at the museum is probably a gamble, especially if you're not local.

Experiencia fantástica: Anyone visiting Duisburg or the Ruhr area should definitely visit this excellent museum with its unique collection of sculptures. Wilhelm Lehmbruck is still and now especially topical. In addition, there is the museum itself as an architectural masterpiece, which was created by the architect and son of Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Manfred Lehmbruck, as a kind of protective shell around the father's sculptures. In addition to the lifework of the eponymous sculptor, the museum also houses unique exhibits by artists such as Alexander Archipenko, Ernst Barlach, Joseph Beuys, Hermann Blumenthal, Constantin Brâncuși, Eberhard Bosslet, Christo, Abraham David Christian, Salvador Dalí, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Max Ernst, Naum Gabo, Alberto Giacometti, Julio González, Duane Hanson, Antonius Höckelmann, Menashe Kadishman, Käthe Kollwitz, Ludwig Kasper, Henri Laurens, Jacques Lipchitz, Ewald Mataré, Franz Marc, László Péri, Antoine Pevsch, Picassoner, Michailitsch Palexschen and Richard Serra. With its internationally important collection, the museum is also an outstanding testimony to the former wealth of the steel metropolis on the Rhine and Ruhr, which seems downright fantastic in times when structural change is far from complete. An open sculpture garden extends around the museum. The extremely friendly and helpful staff makes a visit to the Lehmbruck Museum a particularly pleasant experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum, not only the exhibition but the building itself is art...! The park is also worth seeing, but unfortunately also a meeting place for the homeless and drug scene...

Experiencia fantástica: Remarkable architecture that corresponds well with the exhibits. The focus is of course Lehmbruck, life and work, which is why a visit is worthwhile. Special exhibition "Cardiff & Miller" was completely new to me. Exciting, complex installations. In addition, well-known names from the permanent collection such as Giacometti, Kollwitz, Moore, Bill etc. Overall a real highlight in Duisburg.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic setting. Wonderful classics, currently very interesting, partly interactive special exhibition. Very friendly staff. Great sculpture exhibition around the museum. The only drawback: the garbage-filled, otherwise empty water basin right by the window.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited the VA PLASTIKBAR: BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY - ILLUSION SPACES BY CARDIFF AND MILLER and was very lucky that Mr. Jörg Mascherrek accompanied it. Wonderful installations, described in an entertaining way, great sculptures and, in addition, a delicious sandwich. The visit turned my week's business trip into something special. Thanks a lot for this. I'll be back :)

Experiencia fantástica: Value for money great. Very neat and calm museum. When I was visiting, there were 1 or 2 school classes visiting, it was a bit noisy but very lively. It's great that the museum is doing something like this.

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum with a permanent exhibition by Lehmbruck. Lots of plastic to look at. Also the art development of plastic/sculpture up to modern times. Then a large temporary exhibition area. So always worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Very neat and nice museum with great exhibits. Extremely clean toilets and friendly staff. There was almost no possibility of infection with Covid-19, disinfectant dispensers were available and the air conditioning was switched on, so it was easy to wear the mask indoors. The park that borders the museum also had beautiful sculptures. I thought it was a shame that there were some drug users in the park, but the police asked them to leave the place pretty quickly. All in all, I found the visit to the Lembruck Museum very nice, I can only recommend it!

Experiencia fantástica: On December 16, 2019, I had time and leisure and wanted to see something by "Julian Opie" in the Lembruck Museum. The column of light that shines from afar and is in motion magically attracted me.... I wanted to take a closer look at everything from Julian Opie and his smart endurance runners.... December 16, 2019 was a Monday, and unfortunately the Lehmbruck Museum was closed. I didn't inform myself beforehand either, that's me, it's my own fault... But the black and white glowing pillar of light that symbolizes movement was also interesting to see... The reflection had caught the running movement of the light column in the panorama glass pane from the museum, and copied the movements of the runners.... That must certainly look even more interesting in the dark, like around noon.... So that others don't do the same thing as me, here are the opening times of the Lehmbruck Museum. Tuesday - Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Admission per person 9€ reduced 5€

Experiencia fantástica: Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg It was very wonderful experience by Lehmbruck Museum. If you like sculpture then you definitely like this Museum. It has a fantastic location in Duisburg. It is very near to Duisburg Railway Station (Duisburg Hauptbahnhof). You can reach there by walk from Duisburg Railway Station or you can take a bus till the bus stop Lehmbruck Museum. It is surrounding by park. Very very nice...Excellent.

Marten Wiersma 4 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Always new for many years - in many variations of the sculptural one recognizes and feels oneself - also in the fragment - perhaps just there: are there, like nowhere else, emotions in the expression nachvolziehbar, visible - petrified almost hand-understandable. Class, this class - even the Museum as a UNIQUE of Lehmbruck's son gains more and more charm from year to year; even as an empty "CUBUS" a fascination.

Experiencia fantástica: Just because of the architecture, the museum is unreservedly recommended. Then the really well placed sculptures from Lehmbruck ... All in all that's worth a visit. The collection also contains a few interesting, well-selected pieces. And changing guest exhibitions are still on top of it ...

Experiencia fantástica: The Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg is a very beautiful sculpture museum about the sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck. In addition to sculptures by him, other artists are shown in temporary and permanent exhibitions. This included artists from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Exciting are the temporary exhibitions, such. Rodin 2019. The museum building is very modern and beautiful. The prices are moderate and affordable. For a small surcharge of a few euros more, I received the current catalog. The museum is also suitable for a family outing.
