Experiencia fantástica: A wonderful collection of all sorts of items and documents from past days of the Island. From household items to farming - and other - 'machinery' (man or horse powered). The photos and documents available to see there is fantastic. Especially for those who love history in general, but especially precious for those of us whose parents and grandparents (and the 'greats' can be x3 in our family!) lived on the island. For a smaller museum it holds a great amount of days gone by treasures. A special thanks to Kay for opening up especially for our Memorial group, down to the Island for the day. And for all of her help in finding information and documents that were related to our family. It was a wonderful addition to our day, especially for those who had never been to the museum before. Experiencia fantástica: A genuinely refreshing heritage stop in Russell Island. Fantastic amenities and the space takes you to a bygone era of the early Redlands district. Not to be missed on your travels. "This small museum is a sub branch of the Redland Museum in Cleveland.In 2004 this was a private collection of the local postmaster in the Southern Moreton Bay Islands." "Currently we are open every Friday morning or by appointment. Up to ten volunteers attend every week to catalogue the items, arrange displays, clean and restore."
