🗣️ Museo del Chocolate: Opiniones
Experiencia positiva: No pudimos entrar, se requiere reserva previa.
Experiencia positiva: Hope they find a new venue soon, the replacement one is quite small and dark. We went a couple of times as the kids love it but the valentines workshop was rather overwhelming in such small space. The lady teaching us was lovely though and quality of the chocolate still really good.
Experiencia negativa: Not a museum, more like a room with some information about coffee. Can't even buy something special from there.
Experiencia positiva: Went along with my son on his school trip. Was a lovely place to learn about the history of chocolate and the children did make there own chocolate which you can take home, however the session seemed rushed it was more a workshop than a museum. The staff were very friendly and patient and the kids had fun.
Experiencia positiva: Sophie guided my group through a taste exploration of the different beans and how this changes the subtleties of the chocolate. We then split into three groups to have a go at creating our own hand dipped chocolates. A fun, if messy, way to spend an afternoon and the little bags of chocolates we made would make excellent gifts. This particular venue wasn't fully wheelchair accessible due to its age, but through discussions in advance we established where we could access facilities should they be needed. They also have a shop and the museum is moving to a new location this year so any access issues will be addressed in the move. The pace was very inclusive and although we were a group of colleagues this activity would also be good for schools, clubs, family outings etc.
Experiencia fantástica: I was there in a working capacity as I work in a school (I am currently in year six) and I thought it was a most informative, interesting and ultimately Chocolate/Cocoa laden experience. We learned some of the Maya history of Chocolate and to make our own from Cocoa Nibs and other ingredients and to ultimately take away our own hand made Cocoa creations! Amazing.
Experiencia fantástica: I booked my wife and I on to the chocolate making class a few Saturdays ago and we both had a great time. It was 3 hours of almost non-stop information and chocolate making and it never felt as though the instructor was just trying to fill time or skimp on ingredients. We both went away with a lot of chocolate (which we're still working our way through) and really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a chocolate making class then definitely go here rather than somewhere like Hotel Chocolat - it's local, better value and the chocolate is amazing.
Experiencia fantástica: If you want to learn about the history of the chocolate in London that's the right place. The museum was open less than a year ago and already host variety of chocolate events so you can taste here different chocolate from all over the world.
Experiencia fantástica: When you take a sip of the best hot chocolate you’ve had in London, one that’s the perfect thickness thus tasting of real chocolate, but not too thick to leave you feeling sick, it’s easy to see why such an experience leads to a subsequent write up... Why not visit the Twenty Something London website to read on and find even more unique and independent places?
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing hot chocolate. Great choice of chocolate bar.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't bake, so this was a unique and fun experience for me. The workshop includes shaping ganache, tempering chocolate, coating and decorating. It was overall fun. They also have an interesting and educational gallery at the basement.
Experiencia fantástica: Great place, almost secret gem of a place to learn the basics of this timeless, delicious sweet
Experiencia negativa: So disappointed in this place. Paid a deposit for a birthday party pre-covid closure and now they won’t respond to emails or phone calls to see if we can rearrange. Tried knocking on the door but they won’t answer even when they are in!
Experiencia fantástica: Anyone that loves chocolate, this is the place for you. :)
Experiencia positiva: Small private run museum, with a brief description of chocolate history from the earliest times to early XIX century. Not a bad place to spend an hour wondering around displays.
Experiencia fantástica: My daughter and I had a great time making our chocolates in the workshop. And they were delicious too. Very friendly lady who runs the workshop

Experiencia fantástica: Great fun to do with adults and or children. All explained and hands on. Easy to create yummy treats within a short space of time.
Experiencia fantástica: Love coming here
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff, especially the manager/owner (I didn't catch the name, I'm sorry) who seems to run the place with a passion. The instructions were very clear and easy my four year old took charge and did most of the work herself. She enjoyed herself so much she wants to come back again soon and we will. The museum is small but informative and has a variety of historical exhibits on display. The best part though is taking away some yummy treats for the journey home!
Experiencia positiva: 1) the level of cleanliness is below standards - we are not making pottery, we are making food! 2) Ivy was giving all the participants some chocolates to taste with her hands after she touched her clothes and her face without gloves. 3) Ivy was not passionate at all - didn’t even mention that there was a museum to visit. 4) the place was freezing throughout the 2 hours we have been there. We had to keep our jacket on. 5) the place looks unkept and in need of refurbishment or at least a deep clean including the glass windows you see from the streets. 6) for 40£/person you would expect certain standards. Overall we enjoyed making the chocolates but we were constantly apprehensive about the poor hygiene.
Experiencia fantástica: Myself, my sister and my nephew all came along to this little hidden gem in Brixton today. After reading some of the reviews before attending we weren’t sure what to expect but we had such a lovely time!! The host, Craig looked after us and took us through the process patiently and gave us enough space to get on with the chocolate moulding and decorating. He was very polite and friendly. I would honestly recommend going to this little museum and taking part in the chocolate work shop. The truffles were to die for!! And my nephew loved the lollypop moulding too. Very hands on and some informative information downstairs too if you’re interested. 10 out of 10 from us three, thanks!! :)
Experiencia fantástica: The Chocolate Museum is a real and hidden gem of the colourful and vibrant Brixton neighbourhood. This independent museum established here in 2013 and its collection consists of a range of objects and memorabilia acquired over many years from different merchants and collectors. Here you'll find a range of ethically sourced chocolates produced by independent bean-to-bar makers and focus on single origins chocolate bars, from Ghana, to Ivory Coast, to Ecuador, to Venezuela that blend fruits, spices and herbs. What I also really love about this place is the programme of workshops offered for families as well as for schools, or special occasions where you will learn many things about cocoa and how to make chocolate out of it. In addition to this, my 5 stars go to the lovely and professional ladies running this unexpected and tasty chocolate museum.
Experiencia fantástica: A delightful and friendly place
Experiencia fantástica: We did a Workshop. Very interesting, informative, fun, nice bunch of people, sociable, delicious, lots to take home. Quite messy, like play group for chocaholics!
Experiencia fantástica: Loved this place. Great experience for adults and kids!!
Experiencia fantástica: Very good experience, well worth doing!
Experiencia fantástica: If you go to make chocolates you will not be disappointed. Absolutely delicious!
Experiencia fantástica: Great for kids. Learn about and create their own chocolate from moulds and toppings. Excellent for small birthday parties.
Experiencia fantástica: Had a fabulous time with four 9 year old girls doing a drop-in truffle making session on a Sunday morning. Supervised by (charming and informative) Chiara, who was great with children, we made gorgeous truffles and lollipops. Thanks for the brilliant experience.
Experiencia fantástica: Fab day out for the kids
Experiencia fantástica: Best hot chocolate ever! Super thick with no cornflour. Would be nice to have some thing to dip in it, but as my wife pointed out, you are given a spoon... The museum is limited but interesting, worth a visit. Looks like s good spot for kids parties.
Experiencia fantástica: This was such a fun experience for parents and kids. And the chocolate we made was excellent quality.
Experiencia fantástica: A lovely tour and we loved making our own chocolate
Experiencia fantástica: It's not certainly Willy Wonka's chocolate factory but when you're able to make your own delicious bonbons it feels like a magical afternoon. A great place to go with curious children as my nieces and nephews are
Experiencia fantástica: Took my granddaughter here for an afternoon out. She absolutely loved it!! The staff were amazingly friendly and patient
Experiencia fantástica: Nice place, cosy with friendly service. And great chocolate :)
Experiencia fantástica: We have just spent this morning at the Chocolate Museum workshop making truffles and learning all about tempering chocolate. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience and took home our delicious chocolates Really great experience and fun way to spend some quality half term time with my 14 year olds.
Experiencia fantástica: A great time spent here this afternoon. I would advise arriving after the peak period of between 2-3:30pm to enjoy a relaxed educational experience. There are museum exhibits in the basement which give the background history of chocolate and the opportunity to participate in making your own chocolate creations. For myself and my daughter this cost £15 which was good value for money. One to recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: Super fun chocolate making course with kiddos!
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic birthday party!! Brought 13 six year olds for a birthday party. They all had a really amazing time! Staff Imogen and Sophia were fantastic! Really great with the kids despite the inevitable sugar high. Highly recommended! A solid 5 stars for an awesome experience!!!!
Experiencia fantástica: The chocolate buttons are to die for
Experiencia fantástica: Children loved the chocolate making experience
Experiencia fantástica: Great fun for the kids and nice chocolate
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic family workshop! Great family fun! Love it!!
Experiencia fantástica: The kids n me had a lovely experience here. I loved the facts about chocolate making and the tasting bit yaaammmm
Experiencia fantástica: Had a great time today, interesting and funny. Thank you for a good time x
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic
Experiencia fantástica: Came here with the school on a trip, the children loved it and were education on the history of chocolate. They also made some yummy treats which was messy but awesome!
Experiencia fantástica: Small place bit pricey
Experiencia fantástica: Fun day out
Experiencia positiva: The museum itself is just one room with some cool artefacts and information. But they offer chocolate classes in the shop upstairs which was a reasonably priced fun afternoon and we ended up taking home a tonne of really tasty chocolate we'd made. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!
Experiencia fantástica: Chocolate and museums. What's not to like?
Experiencia fantástica: Friendly and intimate setting, informative displays and a drop in activity that was great value for money.
Experiencia fantástica: What a great experience and a lovely afternoon
Experiencia fantástica: Great place to bring kids and to make your own sweeties
Experiencia fantástica: My daughter loved it! The staff were amazing, very good with kids and we had so much chocolate!
Experiencia fantástica: Went for a workshop on the Mayans- really interesting. Learnt about the process of bean to bar and then got to make our own (dark) chocolate. Good for a school trip with Upper KS2.
Experiencia fantástica: Attended the 3 hour truffle making workshop. Had a fantastic time, very enjoyable and tasty! We learnt about the history of cocoa and how to make ganache and tempered chocolate (with some tasting along the way). We made a lot of chocolates which we could take home. Overall the staff were fantastic, gave great teaching without being overbearing, and it was definitely worth the money.
Experiencia positiva: A great afternoon activity for kids and adults! Plus the chocolate is quite tasty. It took us about 40 minutes to complete the seven step process. For each child was £9.50 and for a child & 1 adult was £15.00. When my two kids (7 & 9) were all finished we walked out with 11 chocolate lollipops and 24 candy bites. The only down fall is this place is small and a birthday party was going on when we did the “drop in” chocolate making experience. In the future I would call before hand to avoid the noise and commotion of large groups. We do plan to return again!
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing hot chocolate. Best in London!
