Experiencia fantástica: I am talking about my experience with the cafe, i have been many times but today took my mum for her birthday. The staff are so so so lovely. The food is great. 4 adults x2 kids meals and all drinks under 50 pound. Just cant thank the staff enough for being so lovely not one bad thing to say about the place:). They let us book the table and put up some decorations to make it special too.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing place with a wide variety of exhibits and free to enter. The staff weren't approachable and more interested in their tablets, but the actual displays were really good. Also has a library built in and a cafe. The toilets were really clean. Would highly recommend if you enjoy history, even better when it's raining outside and dry in here!

Well presented and engaging features on local history, an excellent exhibition of local artists' work and the very interesting railway related exhibition as well as the regimental section with its moving stories and well put together displays. A pleasant surprise.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited for the first time with my two children, 10&8 years old. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The building is gorgeous and easy to find, plenty of cheap parking available nearby. When I entered the building there was a lady at the entrance who seemed to be working alongside the gift shop and she helpfully explained the museums are over different levels, with the armed forces exhibit and the locomotive exhibits on the lower floor and the social museum on the upper floor. I had expected to pay a fee but she told me entrance was free, which makes it an excellent value day out for a family. Starting at the bottom floor we worked our way through the exhibits, my sons had been studying the world wars at school so this was topical. The trains were a hit, very impressive and interesting display. They loved the top floor best though, with the coffin, the stuffed animals and the interactive shop display. We spent a long time exploring, finishing with a drink from the very reasonably priced cafe. We ran out of time but will go back to explore the children's library, It seemed well stocked and was located behind doors away from the rest of the library, which is useful for little (but loud) voices. We really enjoyed it, I thought the girls school preserved behind the glass was beautiful and unique. I think I'd have liked more guidance over where to start the exhibitions and what order to go in, I felt I was jumping around in time quite a bit. And there was a member of staff who couldn't wait to tell us how rubbish the new space is compared to the old space and how it's terrible that most of the old school was destroyed to make way for the new museum. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed my visit - I really don't understand the negativity of someone who could have been much more positive, proud and enthusiastic about her place of work. It takes all sorts I guess. I think considering it's free, it's a great place to entertain the kids for a few hours. It's clean and new and lovely.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic place. Too much to see in one visit. Caring staff in all departments who made visiting with my elderly father easier than it should have been. Lovely cake in the cafe. Parking just across the road.

Experiencia fantástica: Really enjoyed visiting today. We loved the whole experience and the way the old girls school has bee. Incorporated into the new building deserves awards. Seeing our railway history was particularly enjoyable for me. Nice cafe and the library looked popular and well stocked. We are fortunate to have this quality resource in the city. Parking was simple too. I'd recommend 2hour to see the place.

Experiencia fantástica: A really good museum with a wide variety of artifacts to look at . It took a bit of finding as it has moved from the location stated on Google maps . Free entry and library attached loads of car parks reasonably priced in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing new museum and art gallery with fabulous displays throughout the museum which are interactive and great for school visits .The art gallery was very pleasing on the eye with well known places and it was socially distanced immaculately clean and free to get in.The 1910 cafe had a good choice of food and large portions .Well worth the money Would highley recconend a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Moved into new premises at the end of last year and this was my first visit. Great variety of items on display, with activities/displays for younger visitors. Great to see a couple of locomotives on the ground floor! It includes the regimental museum for the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Well worth a visit. As is the café!!! Free entry!!

Experiencia positiva: An excellent museum and art gallery, packed with high quality exhibitions and plenty of family friendly activities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cafe was reasonably priced and excellent quality. Sadly I had to knock off a star, the old museum (across the road) had free parking, this new museum charges for parking and I don’t think it should. Way to solve it…knock off the parking charge in the cafe or let families claim it back. We’ll be back to this museum regularly (it’s our local) and we will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Experiencia fantástica: Loved this since i was a child. The sheer detail in the taxidermy displays is amazing! Especially the burrow tunnels to crawl into!

Experiencia fantástica: This is one of Doncasters must visit places. It is full to the brim of interesting things for all ages. I've been visiting for over 20 years and there's always something more to see and learn. Went today to research my grandads history in the army in Burma and although I never learned anything about him (harry jones) I spent a good 45 minutes talking to one of the staff about war medals and such things. This is one of Doncasters best assets. Thank you to the staff for being very accommodating and informative.

Experiencia fantástica: Really charming museum. Nothing flashy here, just well put together, informative exhibits detailing the history of Doncaster. The museum is about to move into a new building so some of the exhibits have been closed for now.

Experiencia fantástica: Had some free time while I was in Doncaster so I checked out the museum and art gallery. It's quite big, lots of information about history and various exhibits. There's a Regimental Museum of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry which is all about the wars they fought in. Moving upstairs is an art gallery. I went on a Saturday and it was really quiet. I spent about an hour here.

I visited this institution on the one hand as a tourist, on the other hand as a curator, naturalist from the Museum in Chrzanów. Five for lifetime achievement and coping with similar modest development opportunities.

Experiencia negativa: Went today on the last opening day of the museum. Felt disappointed museum itself was freezing no heating at all. It had 1 small portable heater in little drink area Lighting was inadequate to see exhibits properly It is obvious the council didn't really want you their Felt sorry for staff left to cope Hope the new musuem is visitor friendly.

Experiencia positiva: This museum closes to the public on 17th January 2020.The new museum opens over the road on 1st August 2020. Once it is closed it will be used as storage for documents and artifacts when not in show in the new museum.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this museum. My kids love the natural history section and the tunnels showing animals under ground. I took my parents this week to see the KOYLI (Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry) museum which they enjoyed. I have taken the kids to the activities they sometimes have on in the holidays. And it's free! Helpful staff too.

Experiencia fantástica: A wonderful museum, plenty to see with some hands on things for the kids. The staff here are the best and regularly have craft a event. Upstairs are the galleries with many interesting exhibits. Free too!

Experiencia fantástica: Doncaster Museum is a short walk from the town. It has an art gallery at the front, which is free.The museum itself is laid out well with displays of local and historical items relating to Doncaster. The range covers history, science, biology, coins, stuffed animals, embroidery etc. There are also rooms devoted to the Cosmos and clothing manufacture.A hidden gem is the TEA ROOM - superb cakes and lovely homemade cakes. The staff have got this spot on!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a lovely museum, it's bigger than I expected and we spent just over an hour looking around at the different exhibits. There's a few little Interactive things which is always nice. We didn't go to the art galleries but will definitely be going back soon to have a look.
