🗣️ Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: A must cultural place in the city. There are always cinematic and art exhibitions throughout the year. Most of the exhibitions are free of charge. They also have theatre presentations. The place is very cozy and they have a café on the first floor.
Experiencia fantástica: Historic building located in the city center . I had a good moment to see gemeos exihibion as free .
Experiencia fantástica: Free admission. Changing exhbits. There's a floor dedicated to the history of the bank and of money.
Experiencia fantástica: Went there with friends, feel amazed with the IT game and Portinari exhibitions held that day. A very good place to visit and free ticket!!
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing space and free exhibition
Experiencia fantástica: Very good and for free
Experiencia fantástica: An amazing place, you'll never get out of there unsatisfied. Lots of workshops, museums, musical presentations, and, to me the most useful, a great coworking, with all the necessary articles!
Experiencia fantástica: Nice place for a raining day in rio!
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place. I wish there were more things posted in English or Spanish, but we didn't go to the information center which probably would've had information. The place was still beautiful to walk around and explore the rooms and art. Everyone there working was very friendly and the place was extremely clean.
Experiencia fantástica: Always some great temporary exhibtions as well as the permanent one in the 4th floor about the history of currency. Don't miss out on taking a ride with the beautiful traditional elevator.
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome exposition
Experiencia fantástica: I visited the CCCB in January 2023 and was amazed by the exhibition of Osgemeos! Highly recommend
Experiencia fantástica: A really good experience, the place is awesome, and a very good show as well
Experiencia fantástica: So impressed by the Centro Cultural! This beautiful center is free entry, and everyone should see it! I went today and found out Walter Firmo’s exposition, and it was highly impressing, and the way it was curated, gorgeous. The ladies from the elevators were super nice. I would come back!
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice place with a great exhibition when I visited. Very well organised with people going through smoothly and without hassle.
Experiencia fantástica: Great exhibits, beautiful architecture and very organized!
Experiencia fantástica: Walked in not knowing what to expect. At the time, the exhibits were OSGEMEOS and Walter Firmo. I knew nothing about the artists and learned so much--highly recommend!
Experiencia fantástica: Great exhibitions, very organised, friendly staff and beautiful building, I always try to visit CCBB when I come to Rio.
Experiencia fantástica: CCBB always has some great art exhibitions, which are usually free, and its architecture is very rich and beautiful. It’s definitely a place to visit while in Rio. For those who enjoy Confeitaria Colombo, there is one inside CCBB.
Experiencia fantástica: I love going to CCBB. It is one of my favorites places in Rio de Janeiro. It's an amazing museum that everybody should go, Brazilian people and foreigners.
Experiencia fantástica: Went for the Marc Chagall exhibition. Not allowed to take pictures of the exhibit so here's some pictures of the installation at the reception!!
Experiencia fantástica: A must-visit art gallery in Rio. Beautiful architecture that tells about Rio's glorious past as a capital of the Portuguese empire.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful place! Excellent exhibitions.
Experiencia fantástica: Museum at day, Samba Party at night. Best Samba party at the streets that I have seen in Brasil for now. Feels like carneval. Life music and full of brasilian dancers, very gayfriedly.
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing! We visit the Marc Chagall exposition, it was totally free. The place well organized, easy access through Uber, not that expensive to get there from Copacabana. I highly recommend to visit this place.
Experiencia fantástica: If you have some time, go to Ccbb because there's always something interesting going on.
Experiencia fantástica: The architecture of this building reminds me of the 1930s. There are even attendants in the elevators to take you from floor to floor. The Cafe Colombo here should not be missed. It is a small cafe with delicious pastries and different coffees.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful well maintained historical site. Former bank from imperial era. Currently hosts arts exhibitions and cultural events. In the occasion (Dec 2020), there is a very nicely curated exhibition of Mucha artwork and career.
Experiencia fantástica: We did not know we needed to get tickets previously on line due to covid.. they were really nice and let us in as an exception since we are from argentina and today was our last day. Super cool staff! Thank you!! Alphonse Mucha exhibition a must! Don t miss it!
Experiencia fantástica: Visited for the Mucha exposition. Properly sized collection of posters and photos. Well-laid building and not crowded at the time of the visit.
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums in Rio de Janeiro! They are following COVID-19 protocol perfectly, I felt safe to just enjoy the art.
Experiencia fantástica: Goegeous cultural center in one of the best corners of downtown Rio. CCBB (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil) a very well preserved, architecturally astonishing building where it was once a bank, Banco do Brasil. It promotes art shows and plays, some of them for free. The space has a grand dome, marble floors and an old mirrored elevator. You'll find a small bistro and a bookstore in the facility. It is definitely a nice place to visit, even if you don't have the time to check out any art show. The area is close to a large cathedral, to the Casa França-Brasil (another cultural center) and the Correios Museum. A few restaurants in cobblestone streets behind the building add to the charm.
Experiencia fantástica: The "Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil" or CCBB is a very traditional museum in some Brazilian man cities. Normally it is a historical building at the City Center. That's the case of CCBB-Rio de Janeiro. It was the first headquarter of the Banco do Brasil, the first Brazilian Bank, funded in 1808. Nowadays it has a theater and spaces for temporary and permanent exhibitions. During my visit there were no temporary exposition. The permanent exposition covers the money story with past money from many different cultures in different periods of time (the disadvantage of this part for foreigners visitors is that it has no english/spanish subtitles). The second part is the original bank furniture as well important characters for the bank (with English subtitles). There is also a bookshop and a Café Colombo (a traditional coffee at Rio de Janeiro). I strongly recommend a visit, not only for the story as well for the beautiful landscape.
Experiencia fantástica: It's a really good place! Cultural building where you can find art expositions, interactive events or museum expositions for everbody. It has a coffee shop and library. It also has restrooms at each floor. It's public and the most of the events are for free. The customer service is good.
Experiencia fantástica: I know the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil since 2011. Its always a pleasure to be there. Various different exhibitions make it an interesting place to visit with or without family and/or friends. Especially in summer time its with his high walls a cool place to escape the heat of the streets from the center of Rio. Next to it there are several other museum, churches, restaurant places. You should avoid to be at night there. Inside the center you find small cafes for a sit in or small chats. Close to you can access the maritime museum or the naval district museum.
Experiencia fantástica: Such a excellent place! There's a lot of cultural attractions like art exhibitions and theater, all for free. There's places for get some coffe or lunch. Amazing!
Experiencia fantástica: The free museum was very interesting (albeit probably because I work in a historical bank myself in the US and had a native Brazilian to translate for me). Even though it isn't presented in English, I would definitely recommend going through to see some beautiful spaces in the giant marble bank.
Experiencia fantástica: an absolutely free basquiat exhibit? amazing! loved it, and absolutely beautiful inside - worth the visit.
Experiencia fantástica: This is an awesome places for culture and arts. I went to see the DreamWorks exhibition and want to go back as soon as possible to see the Museu nacional exhibition. I can also point the architecture of the building. It's breathtaking. I would totally recommend for locals and foreigners.
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best expo centers in Rio. Always a good exhibition to be seen. In one of the rare moments when none is available you can enjoy the architecture of the building, especially the elevator and the views from the second floor. Have a coffee in the lobby and don't miss the bookshop.
Experiencia fantástica: A very cool place, normally free entrance, many amazing expositions and shows. Close to Praça XV and boat station. Ouvidor street famous for its parties and restaurants is nearby. Candelaria - the oldest church in Rio, is 5 min away
Experiencia fantástica: Museum, theaters, cinemas, art gallery, temporary exhibitions, gourmet cafe and bookstore all in one place managed by the Bank of Brazil. Besides permanent exhibitions and temporary ones which are usually free of charge it's a great stopover to drink some water and use clean bathrooms. Also, grab a snack if necessary. Their money gallery is amazing and tells a lot about the history of Brazilian Real (and much more). The Colombo bakery I prefer the one on Rua Goncalves Dias which is a classic and holds a lot of historical value. The Bank of Brazil permanent exhibition is a must see. If you're in Rio, I'm a local guide here. Feel free to get in touch with me through any social media: @DEBOMZAI
Experiencia fantástica: An under appreciated attraction in the city of Rio de Janeiro. With rotating art exhibits, the Centro cultural do Branco do Brasil is a wonderful venue to visit. It isn’t near any of the beaches or major attractions, although it close enough to the metro where it isn’t a hassle to get to. It also provides a great reprieve from the sun beating down on you outdoors.
Experiencia fantástica: The transformation of a classical style bank into a hub of cultural magnificence is simply stunning. We loved the old elevators that even still have operators to help you ascend to the exhibitions on the levels above. The main foyer is a lovely place to sit and there is also a small bookshop
Experiencia fantástica: Great place for a quit time, pass time and also a good view point for cultural events.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic free exhibitions, great organization and beautiful place. The library and the bookstore are worth a visit. There are also quality movie sessions, concerts and theatrical productions at good prices. The coffee shop and the restaurant are quite expensive.
Experiencia fantástica: Best cultural venue in Rio. They will always, anytime, have an expo of an incredible artist there. Many atractions are. Just watch out when it is the last day of an expo or the artist is too famous, you may need to wait in lines to get tickets.
Experiencia fantástica: Nice place to spend time for all that like arts in general. There is a books store, cafe and a restaurant also.
Experiencia fantástica: One of the most beautiful places in Rio. Do not leave Rio without a visit. Art expositions, theather, movies, library, restaurant and cafe. All inside there. Click thumbs up please so I can be aware that you read this. Thanks.
Experiencia fantástica: Went there for a exposition of a TV Program for kids from the 90's. Castelo Ratibum. And liked this place a lot. It was free entrance, and they had a free locker for your belongings, as you can't enter with a backpack for example. They always change their exposition, so better check what is been showed before going there.
