🗣️ Museo del Chocolate Belga: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Small museum which is worth visiting and tasting. Cozy cafe upstairs to extend degustation part has its atmosphere. Recommend
Experiencia fantástica: Really enjoyed it with the green house with banana and cocoa trees. The true reality about the exploitation on cocoa in developing countries. The facts about Europe chocolate industry. After visiting the museum you realise that chocolate is a global business and all counties consume chocolate.
Experiencia fantástica: Fun little museum, where you get to meet a chocolatier and taste some of his chocolates. Definitely worth a visit in Brussels!
Experiencia fantástica: Great place to learn about the way the Belgians transform chocolate. Delicious samples and a shop upstairs to buy all your goodies. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is small, but interesting and interactive. There are some chocolate sculptures of Brussels monuments, as well as a small greenhouse where cocoa trees are grown. You have the chance to learn from a chocolatier how their chocolates are made. All in all, an experience I would warmly recommend. Also, the friendly and helpful staff made our experience even better!
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely fascinating!
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful tour, very friendly staff and clearly passionate people that love chocolate so much! Thanks again!
Experiencia positiva: The museum is not very big. When you get in you will feel the good smell of chocolate everywhere. There are different model of signature buildings in Brussels and a tropical garden and small area showing how to make chocolate. There is a shop upstair to have drink / buy chocolates. I visited on Heritage day so free ticket.
Experiencia fantástica: Me and my husband visited this place today and we loved it! It's a small museum, but we really enjoyed each part of it, especially the workshop. The staff there was really lovely and answered all of our questions. The chocolate we tasted there was the best ever! It was a really nice experience!
Experiencia fantástica: This chocolate village in brussels has really good chocolate, must visit for tour and must try and buy chocolates from here.
Experiencia fantástica: It’s a great place to learn about the history of chocolate and the varieties. The chocolate making was incredible and we learnt about the tempering process. There are 3 stories , where you could buy some chocolates on the third floor. Recommend to visit.
Experiencia fantástica: This is the chocolate museum outside the center, near a nice park. It is housed in a large building with different rooms covering Bgisn chocolate, benefits it chocolate, history and so on. The greenhouse with tropical plants and the pralines workshop made this place better than the central one - tasting exquisite pralines plus a nice presentation by Mr Jorge Lopetegui. Upstairs there is a nice saloon which shows images of this place from the past. Not sure why they call it village, a bit misleading.
Experiencia positiva: Very good, the museum and experience it's worth it. The only problem was the staff which are students that don't treat well the customers. They assisted us slow and lazy. We tried to buy chocolate at the store and the personal (they were 4 girls) were super rude with us because it was almost time to close and they wanted to keep the last chocolates for the day after (or for themselves to eat it). They were trying to scam us with the chocolate weight giving us less that corresponds with the price, and we wanted to buy a book and they said they didn't know the price and didn't want to ask. Zero profesional. For the rest everything good.
Experiencia fantástica: Old, "vintage" museum, where one can learn all about making chocolate, its history and the belgian history in chocolate making. Very nicely kept old fabric used as frame for the museum. Was there for a "quick" run, but will go back on another day to enjoy it more thoroughly.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum itself is quite small, but we had an amazing workshop that was totally worth it. Super friendly people!
Experiencia fantástica: I went there in April 2021 and I had a very nice time. The atelier was very interesting and the museum is small, but informative and well-made. it's not a big museum, but I spent almost 3 hours there. It's really worth a trip, I recommend it without hesitating. And they are very generous with the chocolate samples, that was great.
Experiencia fantástica: They're very concerned about the visitor's enjoyment. Called me a day before informing me that their chocolate-maker was sick, so I should postpone by a day. Which I did, and it was worth it. The audio-guide remote wasn't working well, probably an issue with English-language remotes. Definitely worth visiting.
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice place to learn about chocolate. The audio guide is available, also the audio explanation is separated for audiences - kids, in detail and for adult. Also I highly recommend workshop. The chocolatier was quite professional but explains in easy English. You could learn how to make chocolate.
Experiencia fantástica: We visited recently on a national holiday and were pleased to be some of the only visitors. We felt like the experience was sort of personalized because staff came around to check on us and make sure we understood where to go and made sure we were able to see the chocolatier demonstration. The demonstration was great and the samples were plentiful and delicious!
Experiencia fantástica: Amusing! I love all the stories on how the chocolate were made. They even have chocolates factory session where there this one friendly guy who speaks both English and French , introducing how the chocolates were made and stuff. The chocolates can be tasted on the spot and they were delicious!
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing place!!! Specially if you love chocolate, They have some games for kids to learn a little about chocolate’s history and some big pictures that tell you a little more. And they have a special environment for real cocoa plants!!! I mean, I came from South America and never have seen one of these before! It was great! They make some melted chocolate demos and at the end of the road, you can buy tons of chocolate!!! (but you’ll need tons of money, of course! )
Experiencia fantástica: A must see if you want to understand some great new info about the chocolate. Wait for the chef to make chocolate for larger groups. Near this place you can find Godiva chocolate fabric outlet with good deals.
Experiencia fantástica: This museum is appropriate for all ages as it explains the effort that gets put into your chocolate. It has a choclate workshop (which you have to book) where you can make chocolate and another workshop (which you don't have to book) that lets you taste and learn how chocolate is made. The building has rooms dedicated to the history of chocolate with lots of visual supports. The chocliatier was welcoming and informative, managing to include our very small group with a large school party with no difficulty. Tasters sere exquisite, highly recommend a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing little museum! If you make chocolates and have an interest in the history and production of chocolate from cocoa bean to the delicious end product, this is the place for you. There were very few people there and we had a private demonstration of making chocolates. The chocolatier was friendly, knowledgeable and gave great advice for home use as well. He offered a sampling of what he made afterwards but the focus was on the process more than anything. It's a great place for curious amateur chocolatiers.
Experiencia fantástica: Very pretty place, and very few people (for now) It's not big but it has great activities and you can learn a lot. There is also a 'workshop' about making chocolate pralines which you can taste. I also highly recommend viaiting the upstairs restaurant and shop. I ordered ice pop with chocolate and besides it i received two pralines! It was of course very delicious
Experiencia fantástica: A must visit! Excellent displays detailing the evolution of the chocolate manufacturing process, as well as the advertising campaigns that followed. Check out the cafe upstairs for a memorable hot chocolate and luxury pralines. The staff were so appreciative as well, they threw in a few extra pralines for us to enjoy. Would 100% come back for the cafe alon
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is really interesting and staff are friendly and generous. The place is worth it.
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful museum. I prepared chocolate and learned a lot there.
Experiencia fantástica: Had a lovely time, it was surprisingly quiet and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Met the chocolatier and he showed us how he makes his chocolate and gave us many free samples - lovely guy. Really cool museum and the cafe upstairs is amazing, you can also buy the chocolatiers own chocolate.
Experiencia fantástica: It is a very tasty museum :). See what I did there? All bad jokes aside it was very nice. I had a lot of fun and actually learned something useful too. The varied exibition shows many diferent aspects of the topic. You can see chocolate models of the most popular buildings in Brussels, there is an awesome posters collection, detailed movie about a process of making chocolate, degustation ; ), you can see a real cacao tree and many more. I don't want to spoil everything. Worth visiting.
Experiencia fantástica: Potentially the best or second best pralines that we had in Brussels were during the tour. 2 per person, well worth the ticket cost. On a side note the history presented was informative and well set out. We didn't try the café as there wss a kids party going on upstairs
Experiencia fantástica: The guy doing chocolate demonstrations was very good and vwery knowledgeable and encouraged questions. Also got to taste the pralines- heavenly! they were so nice. Much better experience than than the other chocolate museum neart the Grand Place personally.
Experiencia fantástica: This place was lovely. The staff very friendly and informative. Their English was great. The tour was fun and educational. The chocolate tasting was amazing. The chocolatier was very friendly, funny and willing to let us try a variety of chocolates while answering questions and explaining the process. Highly recommended.
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting still not a lot to see for the money you pay
Experiencia fantástica: The stuff were very helpful, and it has a good overview of chocolate history.
Experiencia fantástica: Lovely place, try a cup of chocolate tea with orange flavor if you have time
Experiencia fantástica: Really good quality museum with engaging exhibits and good use of modern technology to enable access in multiple languages. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the demonstration was really interesting. I liked the sample too, though it could be even better with more tasters! They even have a selection of live cocoa trees there. It's well worth visiting.
Experiencia fantástica: It is a great place to visit if you adore chocolates. You will have some free chocolates for tasting and you will have an audio guide. After finishing the tour, you can get some coffee or chocolate.
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely brilliant with some samples and a lovely Cafe! Delicious chocolate!
Experiencia fantástica: Learned a lot from this visit. They let me have a taste of chocolate. Worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Very very helpful and lovely staff and a hugely well designed and informative museum, great displays on how chocolate is made with yummy tastings too. Go there if in the area you won't regret it!
